Thanks for this vid! Need to do the DP on my RS cuz stock one is throwing p420 codes. Its a thing on the RS - the OEM cats are only good for about 20 - 25k; I am on my second one. It wasn't clear what you guys were hung up on when pulling the old DP - sometimes it is a puzzle rotating and orienting these to get them to slide out. Would have liked to see that going in as well. Sounds good!
Ya, we missed some filming there. The challenge pulling it out was that the plug for one of the O2 sensors was caught. After I freed that up it slid right out. Putting in the aftermarket unit was super simple and there's tons of room in the tunnel.
@@C4Race P0420 here also ruining my inspection. 2nd Cat so far, and now out of warranty so was gonna just install a defouler. This should help, though I'm wondering if there's any benefit to me just putting a new catless DP in instead of reinstalling the OEM? I am tuned for catted DP, not sure if there's much to gain on stock turbo with catless?
@@bennettthomas7531 If you're concerned about emissions, then going catless is more than likely going to cause you even further headaches. A good first step is a defouler though. No guarantees as we jumped straight to catless with a defouler in a non-emissions locale, but there haven't been any CEL's since the install. Your experience may vary.
Which DP was this? I know is said Depo Racing, but I’ve noticed theirs now has a square bracket on one side for mounting whereas the older one or the Whoosh one does not? 🤷🏻♂️
Not going to lie the factory v-band is a nightmare to use. You'll have to get both flange finger sets seated then push the pipes together and tighten. With the car not on a lift it took both of us to get it right. We found it easier to get one side on first and then manipulate the other side.

Can you send the link for the catless downpipe!
Looking good keep up the good work😊
Thanks for checking out the video! Keep on the lookout for some tuning footage coming soon.
@@C4Race yeah I subscribed and I will hit that little bell that tells me when you guys post new things

Freakin' awesome❗❗
hello! nice vid bro, I am tunning mine, do you have the parts link please ✌️✌️

what happened between 13:11 and 13:13 ?? There was som obvious progress made but how?
Hi, I’m going with this combo of downpipe and mbrp exhaust. Does the catless downpipe make the check engine like come on for the O2 sensor?
No check engine lights for us. Be sure to use a defouler for the downstream O2 and you should be good to go.
does the original v band work ?
It does. That's what we used, a new OEM V-band.
Did all u have to do was squeeze the two pipes together to get the vband to grip on?

whats install time ?
It took us a few hours including breaks and filming. Overall not too bad.
You guys couldn't jack up the car just a tad bit up to get some clearance?😂
What defouler do you guys use? Been looking at the vibrant "J style" defouler.
We slapped on a Whoosh Motorsports defouler. It's a J-style and pretty basic, so I'd imagine any brand would work the same.
