Good to see another RS video, missed your trip to WF Motorsports by a few days. Dropped by there Monday when they had a blue RS on the dyno, picked up some clips for the Subaru.
Was super careful, used Lucas penetrating oil and still had a nightmare of a time. Almost stripped one nut and the other backed off halfway before stripping out. I removed the whole stud to fix this. Two new nuts and a one stud from Ford parts was only $8 usd. Ty for the video and the tips I love the work! Much appreciated.
Ahhh I can't wait to get mine on! Have a 3" Custom Stainless Straight Pipe right now that I have to add a resonator to.... Then I WANT FLAMES!!! I see this car on the forum as well so it's nice to see the install videos.

It does not. But it does have provisions to mount the factory heat blanket with the factory clips. Although it will partially cover up some of the vents
Blake's Garage Hm that's surprising to hear for this car. I know on all the STi's I've had it's a pretty commonplace first mod that really wakes the car up quite a bit. Maybe the stock downpipes on Subies are a lot more restrictive so there's more gains to be had with an aftermarket application. RS must have a more aggressive and optimized stock exhaust system with minimal room for gains?
When I did mine I used this video, it made my install much easier ! However I didn’t have a brace on my downpipe? Where was that located ? Was I missing a support ?
Andrejs Pileckis What exhaust do you have? Invidia N1? I'm sure with a straighter flowing exhaust it will shoot flames just as large. Also remember this was during the daytime and it was pretty bright in the shop.
yeah of course lol i wanna get a catless dp now tho but i think the reason i can shoot flames is cuz i have upgraded injectors and pump on a bit higher compression shortblock

They make it look so easy, but I'm sure it's not. I went through hell with my Speed6 and almost dont even want to mod the RS - but I have to.
Easy it ain't mate. The top bolts are bloody difficult to get at and to break in particular.
First I thought it sounded sort of like a Cummings when he was idling and reversing then when the revs started thought of a huracan lol

After you take the catalyst off do you need to re flash the ecu to prevent any error code shows up?

You can remove the airbox with the lid still attached just like the Focus ST.
How Long did You Need For change ?
Focus281ST you should be able to do it in a couple of hours. I would let those exhaust nuts soak over night though

dont you need to put a mini cat inplace of the O2 sensor, surely the ECU will pick up and error now with the cat removed?

Anders Olsson last time it was on the dyno, it was around 350/410. Stock it did 282/330

Why are you taking off everything from the top to do a DP? It's the same as an ST. Just unplug the 02 sensors from top and that's it,

I'd better not tell what I have got installed lol, but yeah I got 63mm almost straight pipe after downpipe. Guess it has little better flow.
