The Day Before is a good a example of why I don't trust in so called "indie studios" making a game that's coming off looking like to be a big Impressive title. But doesn't have any big publisher backing it up. That's a red flag. 🚩

They announce they're closing the company 4 days after a launch. Discord is almost totally wiped, Linkedin is wiped, Official site is wiped and you can officially no longer buy it on Steam. When do you think the servers will shut down. They are bunkrupt. Of course this was always planned.
My bigger question is how did it sell 10 million copies that's wild. There are a fair number of actual good gaming companies out there that don't even sell a tenth of that. The whole Mytona "global group of companies" (that is the publisher of this, Fntastic is the dev) is clearly some sort of money laundering or... whatever this is... as well.
EDIT: Just for reference I've never even heard of this game before today. There are so many red flags - and Mytona corporate tries to portray half their devs as women too... just wow. This is CLEARLY one or a few "tech bros" whom have no morals running some of kind of scam, and there are tons of posts of people who worked for free on the game too (willingly or not). Wild stuff but like i said extremely common from tech bro scammers.
The demise of this game was basically the plot for "Boiler Room". 😂😂😂

We all had high aspirations for "The Day Before", I'm still trying to figure out how they managed to show a compelling, captivating & gorgeous game trailer yet deliver a Garbage final version of the game. As an independent filmmaker, when I shoot a film, there is a pre-production, production & post-production phase, and countless planning and paperwork. After the film is complete I compile the film's trailer using the film's raw footage..... Where the hell did FNtastic get the footage from for the official trailer??? Lmao, As you've alluded to when looking at the The Day Before's trailer and the actual gameplay footage of The Day Before, There is a huge contrasting difference. How do you compile a trailer like that from that mediocre garbage obscene gameplay footage? I heard they didn't have the crowd funding and other financial woes, but thats no excuse, they should have called it off once met with the inevitable fact that they were not going to be able to release an optimal quality product. That have FAILED miserably. Heard they made off with 2.5M from those who paid for their trash smh. Lets just pretend they never existed. Also I wouldn't say "too good to be true" Its not impossible to deliver an amazingly good looking game, we've seen it in titles as "The Last of Us 1&2", "Days Gone" "Division" "World War Z" etc, these guys at FNTastic just didn't deliver.
The situation with this game and it's history is too funny lmao. They obviously had a lot of trouble with development, realized they had no money and talent, released the game in broken and unfinished state in hopes for it to sell, just to delist it later and steal the money it made lol.
I myself had a feeling this game was a scam I wouldn’t even considered buying it there was too many delays and just something about this game that was off…..This is my thought a big name studio should go and make a game like this maybe the guys who do The Division or Activision or devs on that level and I hope the guys at FNtastic get sued or some repercussions comes to them

Good, I'm glad Fantastic got shut down hope they all end up on the streets, more studios will get put in their place as well because we are so sick of these studios feeding us elephant crap meanwhile trying to convince us it's Kobe beef & just lining their pocket at our expense, we deserve nothing but the best that are hard-earned money can buy we decide the success of these games, not them. let this be an example to the rest of the studio, it's become all the norm for these studios to implement shady tactics against their consumers like releasing a broken games then polish it via updates after it's released that's if they don't outright abandon it, studios have gotten so bad with feeding us Cash-Grab-Titles, I don't even purchase games on its release anymore. I wait upwards of a month now & every single dollar that I spend my hard earned money on is a straight banger, I don't let these lying paid by sponsors UA-camrs or the studios word on the state of the game sway my purchasing anymore, gear up studios because change is coming... the days of outright robbing us on a lie is over..

Easily The Day Before. Because when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077. The problem with that game was it having a bunch of bugs at launch. But CD Project Red ended up managed to fix most of those bugs. But when it comes to The Day Before. It clearly wasn't the game that they presented to be at all. And top of that, it also had bugs like crazy. Everything about it was a complete lie.
Cyberpunk is absolutely fantastic. Bad launch but fantastic company that turned it around. Very different story.
