  • Complete Steak and Potatoes with corn on the cob cooked at the same time in the same pot.... and excellent it was!!! All of it!!! If anything is underrated and not talked about enough or is air fried steak...I have many methods and none are more convenient or better than air frying a steak...I love my grill...I love my sous vide...I love my Big Green Egg etc but this air frying is my most used method nowadays and if you try it you will see why... and in this recipe you get the entire meal in one pot with one thing to clean up... not to mention the potatoes that are cooked in the steak broth that drips off of the 2 Ribeyes steaks above... ultimate meal!!! Thank you for watching!!!

    I have a new Ninja Foodi Air Fryer Grill. I cooked a chuck roast in it and I have to tell you, it came out as tender as a T bone steak. Those air fryers are tremendous and I LOVE Ninja products ! I have the Ninja Foodi Air Fry Duo, the NF Air Fry Grill as I told you and an older version of this pressure cooker/Air Fryer. Love them all ! Great video ! Thanks !

    Lol, what a coincidence that I sat down with my Christmas dinner of steak, potatoes, sweet corn and broccoli (prepped in my Ninja on Christmas Eve as I had to work all day today ) to relax and watch some YT, only for this to pop up in my suggestions. Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year to you and Baby Doll.

    John would you mind doing some recipes without the temperature probe? I have the new Ninja but did not buy the one with the probe as it was too large for just my husband and I. Also, I really appreciate the video on a full meal.

    • @juleziptv3010
      @juleziptv3010 2 роки тому +1

      You don't need a temperature probe.. it tells you the temp it's going to tell you the temp you set it at and turn off when it hits that point..

    John, this is lovely as always. I haven't got one of these new units yet but have the older Foodi pressure cooker/air fryer and as well the large XL Oven with the temp probe. What would happen, do you think, if you threw caution to the wind on the potatoes and put the probe into the steaks instead, cooking to say 128 or 130 on the probe instead of going in with your other thermometer? I'm betting it would take the guesswork out, put some nice steak juices over the potato which would cook just right; I doubt it would dry out but would probably be right on your target 200 degrees. This unit, with the temp probe, will be my next kitchen purchase, in part because I watched you use it!

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  2 роки тому +1

      I'm not sure but there is probably a lot of methods that would work...I do love having the thermometer in this unit...

  • @fred5784
    @fred5784 2 роки тому +6

    Since you stopped using the thermometer when you added the steaks, I would suggest you unplug the thermometer and move the wire under the steaks. You won’t have to worry about burning the wire. Don’t forget to put the little plug back in. Another option is remove the thermometer from the potato, put it in the steak, then cook the steak to your preferred temp. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  2 роки тому +2

      I considered moving the thermometer but raising the lid is doable in the broil feature and the steaks being on top I felt it would be more accurate to check both steaks in several places... but that is a good idea...

    are the new ninja one pots better than the old ones? I have the old 9 in 1, by better i mean cook better, steam-airfry vs just air fry for example, and if i wanted to do the above could i just pressure cook the potatoes (corn?) and airfry everything after?

    At 9:34 when you open the Foodi lid it appears that either food or juices have touched the cooking element itself. What is that on the cooking element and is that a good thing to have happened? Also, I wonder if it will cause other problems, over time? Just curious as to what's getting on the cooking element and if you have to clean it off?

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  2 роки тому +1

    Have you seen the new toaster/oven combo, not a fan. I think Ninja is starting to ask for trouble for making smaller ovens, you can't shrink the space between food and heating element with increasing chance of fire. Someone will cook something not recommended and set it on fire and burn down building.
