@@JohnSanders Yes, John. Its the OL701, the one with the temp probe. In fact, the OL601 (8 QT without the temp is $234). It looks that this deal was part of their Prime days, but right now it still available. It has a 34% discount and it is sold and fulfilled by Amazon. Run and get one!🤞🤞

I love the sous vide feature. Your video when you did the Ninja and a sous vide machine made me want to use the Ninja. I just did a steak in it and it came out perfectly. It was easy and effortless. And this is all thanks to your video. So even though you don't prefer the Ninja for sous vide, you made a believer out of me!!!

Fantastic review and update John!!! Unfortunately my Ninja Foodi deluxe (original) is still going strong lol, I wanted one of these (the one with the temp probe) right when they came out! I/we use our's 5 days out of the week (actually me because my wife doesn't really cook that much) My wife said "no way Ours works perfectly!" so I have to wait till it dies. One feature I noticed on this unit is there is no display saying OFF when the unit is still plugged-in but not in use. It may seem like a small thing but that's something I really dislike on the Instant Pot brands I have. Both my air fryer and pro models do it, and it's the one gripe I have about them, just seems redundant to me.

if left couple sec. more. Still think the Temperature isn't reading as it should.
Even the. H. B meat the temp was different on both of them.
For got bloody price of one of these this area of cooking should be spot-on.

I got the Smart XL unit and am, mostly, happy with it (replaced the 6.5qt foodi). The one major issue I have is with making a large batch of steel cut oats. I make 8 servings at a time and that's 6 cups of water and 2 cups of oats. The foodi did a great job and I only needed to clean the pot when done. With this one, I open it and there are oats on the heating element, the silicone ring and other parts of the lid. Takes a bit of time to clean it and I can't get it all off the heating element. It makes a horrible smell when it burns off during air frying. I have tried quick and natural release. Seeing as how this is a larger pot, and this never happened to the foodi, I don't see how it happens.
I tried the sous vide on a chuck roast and it was interesting. Not sure if the 36 hours was worth it when I could have just pressure cooked it for an hour.
Overall, it is a great upgrade and I used it multiple times a week along with the XL Grill.
Thanks for all these great videos. I'm going to try you pork loin roast soon.

How do you clean that lid since it can't be removed, and you can't even move the heating element or fan components? It seems like anything you pressure cook or air fry is going to taint the taste of whatever you cook next time since you can't remove that lid or get behind the element, all the steam from a new pressure cook would condense on every surface of that lid and drip down onto the food. Even just one air fry will put a coating of grease and odor on all the surfaces of the lid. How are you cleaning this lid?

I have not had to manually clean it yet but I think that when using air fry it cleans all previous cooks... within reason

Greetings. Add 4 cups of water to the ceramic pot. Close the lid, set to STEAM for 30 minutes.
Does a great job and any stubborn issues brush with a long handle bottle brush (Amazon - Long Straw Brush, Nylon Pipe Tube Cleaner 8.2-ihch 10 Different Diameters)
That can be bent into any shape to reach any place.
