@@JohnSanders Yes, John. Its the OL701, the one with the temp probe. In fact, the OL601 (8 QT without the temp is $234). It looks that this deal was part of their Prime days, but right now it still available. It has a 34% discount and it is sold and fulfilled by Amazon. Run and get one!🤞🤞
I have the OL701 as well and I love it! Used it twice yesterday. As a single man (divorced) I cook a lot of stuff and put it in food-saver bags in my freezer and have a variety of things to eat whenever I want to! Thank you for all your videos and keep them coming!
I was happy watching this video and then my neighbor came by and we watched it together... it changed our lives. He said that this video touched his heart. We took a projector in a big field and all my neighbors watched it, which changed their lives too... I'm so grateful. Thank you.
Fantastic review and update John!!! Unfortunately my Ninja Foodi deluxe (original) is still going strong lol, I wanted one of these (the one with the temp probe) right when they came out! I/we use our's 5 days out of the week (actually me because my wife doesn't really cook that much) My wife said "no way Ours works perfectly!" so I have to wait till it dies. Your The King of Ninja foodi videos!
I love the sous vide feature. Your video when you did the Ninja and a sous vide machine made me want to use the Ninja. I just did a steak in it and it came out perfectly. It was easy and effortless. And this is all thanks to your video. So even though you don't prefer the Ninja for sous vide, you made a believer out of me!!!
Oh how I wish the smaller one came with the probe and the auto pressure release. I am 67 & live alone and can't see a need for the large one for me. Thank you for your honest review :)
G'day from Australia John. Are you still happy with this device ... I've read there are issues with breakdowns just out of warranty with nil service support. Would appreciate a 2yr update pls
Watching all of it i was worried that this guy loves this machine so much it almost looked like paid sponsor but at that time in the video you disclosed that you didnt so that was great since i have one coming soon!
Hi! At 9m46s you said the lid got stuck on your frozen food. This is because it should be the foil side touching the food. AND it's easier to write on the paper side 🤗
Thank you. I wish these videos were dated or numbered so we know what video you say you did before or after. I would to know about the apple bread in steam and bake.
Notice watching when you took the temperature did hit 156 F. Just as you went to remove it. That's a important thing to me the reason that I mention it is watching a lot of other channels bon this. Was thinking if should buy one. The temperature is off quite a few that I have watched. It does look yummy 😋
One feature I noticed on this unit is there is no display saying OFF when the unit is still plugged-in but not in use. It may seem like a small thing but that's something I really dislike on the Instant Pot brands I have. Both my air fryer and pro models do it, and it's the one gripe I have about them, just seems redundant to me.
Hi John.. we have the NINJA FOODI AF400 AIRFRYER at home..and we buy afther little weeks also the NINJA xxl 750...than we are finish in the kitchen. NINJA, the best !! Greetings from the Netherlands..henk and wilke
Thanks for the review. On my old ninja the heating element and fan get dirty after air frying a lot. I wonder if on the new one the same happens, and if that dirt mixes up with food being cooked with pressure since the lid is the same. Can you share your thoughts on that? Thank you
Hi great video . I bought mine 15 in 1 but I am not sure if mine is not faulty...what is the normal prep time when you use pressure cooker or combi steam ?? Thank you
Hi John, thanks for this thorough demo. Are these machines always so loud with that whine? Doesn’t it bother you? I’m having second thoughts… I don’t think I could live with that. 😥
At the moment the max is not available in Malaysia. Therefore I should wait for it when it’s available for purchase? Therefore thermo probe looks so practical.
Not that I've noticed... it doesn't have a shield over the element so it might be a little easier... but I haven't haven't felt it needed cleaning yet...
What function is best used to reheat pasta, like penne with some chicken breast? Also, do you think we can leave our food overnight in the Ninja Foodi?
Your 3 months ago meal roast, notice while taking the temp. The last time you where checking temp. Last area poke remove quickly was 159F. Could have when up a bit more if left couple sec. more. Still think the Temperature isn't reading as it should. Even the. H. B meat the temp was different on both of them. For got bloody price of one of these this area of cooking should be spot-on.
I have 4, yes 4 Instant Pots, husband bought this one for the size and temp probe. My question is simple....the rubber gasket is hell to get out/in. Is it ok to not wash it every single time? signed guilty.... lolol
Hi John FANTASTIC video! I have the one with the probe a few months now and love it. Can you please tell me what size foil pan you use? I never thought about doing that but its a great idea since I live alone and ALWAYS have too much food leftover hahaha.
I love your videos. I just purchased this yesterday. When reading it says always keep it the vent closed. Maybe that's why you lost your liquid when reheating your frozen dinner?
Which one ninja cooker do you recommend that will cook everything ? I can't decide what one is best choice for me . Thank you for posting this video series.
I love your question, I'm thinking about this. It will be my only kitchen appliance for cooking for a family of five. No stove. What has your experience been?
Hey Jelly007, quick question: Do you think it's possible to use an external leave in thermometer with the 14 in 1? The version with the built in thermometer is quite a bit more expensive and harder to find. I''m wondering if I can just use my own and stop the cooking myself. Thank you!
That's a really good question that I have myself. I was wondering if the probe for my Thermoworks smoke would be compatible for the Ninja. Hope someone can answer this question.
Hi John, love all your videos! I get so educated watching and appreciate it so Thank You.. I’m wondering if I can use one of my other Foodi probes to use with this machine. Is that possible? Thanx again
I just made beef jerky with this today. I used 2lb beef round top, and it was done in 5 hours. It could've been done sooner. But I like it a bit crunchy, lol.
Thanks for doing this video, I have been waiting to see what your final thoughts were on it and I think I might pick this up. Thanks for all the great videos! Also was wondering what your favorite drawer air fryer is?
I have the Ninja Foodie 8 qt., and the grill. It sounds like the fan on the 701 is very loud. Did you find that the case? I like this model, but I don’t like equipment that makes a lot of noise.
I got the Smart XL unit and am, mostly, happy with it (replaced the 6.5qt foodi). The one major issue I have is with making a large batch of steel cut oats. I make 8 servings at a time and that's 6 cups of water and 2 cups of oats. The foodi did a great job and I only needed to clean the pot when done. With this one, I open it and there are oats on the heating element, the silicone ring and other parts of the lid. Takes a bit of time to clean it and I can't get it all off the heating element. It makes a horrible smell when it burns off during air frying. I have tried quick and natural release. Seeing as how this is a larger pot, and this never happened to the foodi, I don't see how it happens. I tried the sous vide on a chuck roast and it was interesting. Not sure if the 36 hours was worth it when I could have just pressure cooked it for an hour. Overall, it is a great upgrade and I used it multiple times a week along with the XL Grill. Thanks for all these great videos. I'm going to try you pork loin roast soon.
I agree about the one lid, would be more cleaning to do….I am happy with my 8qt two lids….I just did boil eggs…it amazing about the peeling off so easy….
I have the OL701 and I love it. I agree with your analysis for the most part. Putting in the silicone ring is difficult and awkward for me. Have you discovered an easy way to get it in? I have tried the sous vide function with chicken breasts. They came out juicy!
I had the UK version of this and it stopped last week after 18 months with a "slide" error. Ninja don't do any repairs in the UK. I'm on my second one this week and hope I don't get a repeat otherwise it will be the end of Ninja product for me,

How about 6 qt. Freeze extra

I like the one with the thermometer better. Thanks for another great video!❤️❤️
Could you please tell me what model number has the temp probe?
Love your reviews. Keep it up. 👍
I took you at your word and bought one and it is as good as you said.
i now understand what the groove around the edge of a chopping board is for, its a moat :)
I picked up the version without the probe for $99 at Costco yesterday!
I have the ninja 15 in 1 and the ninja duel draw air fryer and use both all the time. ❤
Did I miss the recipe for the biscuits in the steam crisp? Where can I see the whole thing? They look delicious.

I’d like to know about those tin pans too. Great idea.
Just buy the round ones,or buy the loaf pan. I use foil pans in my smoker.
Nice to see you John
If you add hot or boiling water to use the steam function, it cuts way down on the time.
ive heard complaints that the thermometer is inaccurate. this kind of seems to demonstrate that with the pork shoulder…would u say this is correct?
Would you still recommend this?

what is the difference between the two units other than one has a thermometer and the other one dont

have you tried grilling with it?
No
Warm up and the +20 minutes for bacon? I could do that much faster/economic on my frying pan.
How does the pressurised steam affect the air fryer mechanism? Does the steam interfere with the electronics in the lid?
In no way the steam affects the heating element of the air fryer.
