Definitely more to come -I'm really enjoying this new one lid-didn't think it would be that much better but it really is. Think it may be worth the extra money. Thanks!
Very nice! The steam crisp is so awesome. Heading out to the store in a bit to pick up chicken legs and a few other items to try using the steam crisp. Thanks Ellen!
Now THAT’S a STEAK! 👍 Great video , Lisa! Did a Boneless Ribeye myself yesterday. Nowhere as thick as this one, but I ended up using the smaller wire rack that fits inside of the crisper basket (wire rack came with my original 8qt-not the new one). Used the Smart One Lid, set the probe manually for 130°, and let the “Smarty-Pants” One-Lid Wonder do its thang. Turned out Sensational! Keep those new videos coming. When I see a notification that you have a new video up on the channel, I post it to the group, just to let everyone know. Until next time, take care.
Hi David! Super huge steak! Oh good idea with the rack. The "smarty pants"-is quite smart-lol. Made rice and it almost makes itself-just so great! I'll Ava e to do a proper review once I use more of the functions. Gonna try the sous vide on it today. Thanks David!
@@pressurecrisp Speaking of rice, I remember not too long after the Foodi PC made its debut on the market, and IP recipes & methods were being duplicated in the Foodi, there was a “pot-in-pot” cooking craze , especially when it came to making rice, using that method. Did you make any videos on the pip method? I thought I remember seeing one, maybe two, but cannot seem to find them now. If I remember correctly, approx 1.5 cups of water goes into the cooking pot itself (8qt Foodi), and the rice/water ratio for the actual recipe goes into the smaller pot, which then sits on a trivet inside the cooking pot. Does that sound accurate? TIA.
@@davemarrione5605 Yes the PIP was popular and I would still use it for certain applications-think I forgot min e in NY. I have made rice 3 times in the new Ninja Foodi one lid and it has been consistent every time. My personal ratio is 1 cup plus a Tablespoon to one cup of rice -I like my rice a bit softer or sticky. And making it in the new one lid is almost hands free-just so cool and amazing. I really didn't think I was going to enjoy the new Foodi like I have-lol. Steam crisp is the best feature so far.
I have the Ninja Foodi Grill LG450 with the smart thermometer and the Ninja Foodi Deluxe 12 in 1 Pressure Cooker and I love these products. What is your suggestion of the next product I should get?
To Be honest you have a great combo and the appliances still are functioning properly. You don't need any appliance at. this time. Unless you want to expand to the Creami or blenders. But if you want a new appliance -see which you use more either the Grill or Foodi. Do you grill or pressure cook more? Or I'm curious to see what they are going to come out with next. Ninja's appliances are debuted every August. Hope this helps Antoine.
I love your videos!. My OCD anxiety is kicking in badly, though, because I am noticing the device is over the edge of the counter. Maybe scoot it back just a hair or two?
Is there a filter? And can we change it? Last thing of this kind I had it wasn't possible to clean the filter and after a while it smelt terrible and I wonder if it is healthy to eat burnt and re-burnt fat.
Oh boy!! I'm excited for this new gadget. Have to save up some $$$. And Ribeye is our favorite cut!! The thermometer included is a game-changer!! Thank you. :)
Yeah the thermometer makes it so easy but I have to start timing so I can give you times on how long it takes to cook items. Ribeye is my favorite as well thanks JuJU Bee!
Hello Lisa enjoy ur videos I've been using my one lid for a while an found that when u use ur probe the other piece will fit right in the holder that the probe of In that way u don't lose it cause without it back in the unit won't work until it's back in or the probe in FYI ur stake look awesome I love my probe cooking everything is on point with it thxs again
two weeks ago I literally rolled my kitchen oven OUT of my kitchen. All my Ninja gadget have totally rendered an oven obsolete. You don't realize how much dead space an oven gobbles up until it's gone...
So true Daniel! Would have much more counter space for the appliances. Kitchens of the future! Thanks Daniel! I said if I ever built a small cabin in the woods and of course had power I probably would just use Ninja appliances and my pizza oven-lol.
I keep my one lid on the counter because I use it everyday, and my old one is in the cupboard in case I need it, and my third one I’m giving to my son🤣

@@pressurecrisp Yeah. Every review I've seen for Ninja built in thermometers says they underestimate the temperature by anything up to 20 to 30 degrees. Really puts me off getting one.
First of all, when you make this sort of video, KNOW what you are doing first! Also, 100 degrees????!! That's raw. Probe/internal temp for medium rare is 135 degrees F. Chicken it's 165. I love my Ninja Foodi Smart XL ! Also, suggest rubbing meat with your choice of oil. I suggest Avocado Oil because of hight smoke temp.
Were you in a bad mood when you made this video? I've never heard you huff and puff so much and you sound really uninterested and pissed off throughout - until you see how good the steak is. Very strange video Lisa
Sorry about the strange video -think I did this in the evening so I may have been getting tired after cooking and filming all day. Thanks for the feedback.
So here's the thing, I bought this same machine because I'm so limited on time. Watching your video is painful because of the long drawn out narrative. I'm sorry, I can't do it.
Thanks for showing us the 2-lb. steak in the new Foodi! Can't wait to see more of the one lid!
Definitely more to come -I'm really enjoying this new one lid-didn't think it would be that much better but it really is. Think it may be worth the extra money. Thanks!
i bought my Ninja Smart lid but it doesnt comes with the thermometer.
Why not use the dual mode (the middle position for the slider) which takes turns heats from top and bottom, so that you don't need to flip it?
Wow! I have this new one lid but without temperature probe. Love the steam and crisp

is the probe inaccurate? you set a target temp for 100 degrees , yet that steak is atleast 125 judging by the pinkness. 100 would be almost cold red
Thanks. Would love to know how long it took, as mine didn't come with a thermometer! [cry!]
How is the thermometer doing after months of use? Have you had any issues with it? Not sure to get the model with thermometer. Thanks

Curious as to why you want a target temp of 100 when rare is 125°
When you pull it off the heat it continues to cook. When it's finally done sitting it should be around 125.

BEAUTIFUL steak! And so simple. Love this!
Thanks so much Tonya! I like simple but oh so tasty! :)

you don't need to preheat anything in a airfryer
true
That steak is still mooing at 100f. You cooked that to literally body temperature.
It’s the way we like it. If you want it more done- cook it longer thx
