FUEL Series 30 Min GIANT Upper Body Dumbbell Workout | Day 17

- Movements involving many muscles at once, others one muscle group only, variations, points of constant time under tension and some high intensity full body movements in here too! A very intense 30 minutes but very focused and formatted in a way to produce a lot of stimulus!
These 30 minutes, I can pretty much guarantee you will get a lot out of it!
The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 2 x 15kg for the first giant set and finisher!
I also use 2 x 8kg for the shoulder pressing and bicep curls.
I then use 2 x 4kg towards the end for laterals, frontals and rear delts!
Aside from dumbbells, you will also need a chair/bench for dips, or you can use your dip bars if you have them! I will be using a chair today!
The timer will be on for 30 seconds per exercise with each giant set, and four exercises will make up each giant set! We then have 30 seconds in between, and we will need that 30 seconds rest!
We perform each giant set for two sets!
This one will pass very quickly, I think!

There isn’t one muscle in the upper body not challenged today!! The arms, shoulders, chest and back are all under tension throughout.
Short work period per set, so ever-changing throughout each giant set!
I enjoyed writing about this workout and how each movement connects with the next; sometimes a variation of the previous exercise, less intense ‘on paper’, more intense, bodyweight only or full body dynamic!

This was the first workout I actually did the tricep pushups on my feet instead of my knees 😭💪🏻 might seem like a simple or dumb victory but it's not for me!! THANK YOU Caroline for helping me feel STRONG and focus on daily goals & victories instead of just losing weight or looking shredded. I've never felt better!

Good morning Matthew, I took a rest yesterday because I had a tough and long day at work and coudn't again manage all these jumps and burpees after my challenging Sunday training (Friday + Sunday workouts). This is my type of training. This upper body session was insane, I loved Iron's slow and controlled tempo, but something about more dynamic and explosive movements inbetween the lifting makes it so rewarding and enjoyable for me. Giant sets felt like mini circuits and the selection of weights made it interesting to do. I loved noticing the difference between heavier and lighter weights - and for me today the shoulder portion with the lightest weights actually inflicted the most burn. Bodyweight exercises were not easy at all and the bicep portion was intense as well. I was so glad it was only two sets of everything. The finisher was finisher in the full meaning of the word. Sprawls were ok but the constant tension on shoulders made it difficult to perform straight afterwards the renegades which are hard on itself as they require practically the whole body. Tricep add-on demolished them- the last one rep tricep push up was a struggle. Like Caroline wrote- there is not one single upper body muscle that was not touched. Caroline is trully bringing it on in the week 4!
My legs are still crying from yesterday's crouch with burpees, and today yet again, we have Sprawls. But, since Caroline has planned it in the workout, you got to try it... Thanks for the Fuel Series... too excited to continue the series.
Caroline is the QUEEN of burpees, sprawls and Bulgarian lunges! I did the IRON series twice and it was getting easy for me, but FUEL is absolutely kicking my behind! What a well designed program. Thank you CG!
I Soo regret not taking any "before" photos because ever since starting Caroline's Epic workouts, I've gotten leaner, stronger and so much more confident. She definitely kicks our arse but in a good way!! Not to add that I haven't been needing to head to a gym because I know I can get the same results at home. Let's do this!!!!!

Burpees with jacks are easier for me! I think it's because regular burpees with the jump at the end takes more energy. All the variations with a little cardio at the end of each set made this session fly by. My arms burned, my ice water was empty at the end and my face was sweaty....I loved it! Y'all will too! Well I got my ass kicked this morning Kyle. That was super tough but so bloody good now that I'm finished. Used 15kg, 7.5 & 4kg. The heat is still radiating from my upper body. Just finished myself by doing 15 min tricep add on so the burn is real. This workout is not for the fainthearted but brilliant all the same. Can't say it's fun but you will enjoy. Go and smash it💪💪

I think I’ll do the same as Caroline and stick to using a chair instead of my dip bars. Also, MORE burpees and sprawls!! 😱

Loved this workout!! The no lower Arnold press, the entire tricep and biceps giant sets...Holy cow!! The partials were pure 🔥. Last set I dropped to 5lbs. That finisher was deceptively challenging. I used 30lbs back 15lbs for biceps lbs 8 fir remaining excercises except last giant set 5lbs.

This was so hard!!! Not gonna lie giant sets for upper body are not my fav!! BUT it was very challenging and that’s how we get stronger!!! I am so thankful for this workout and all of her workouts!!!! Thank u!!

DAY 17 on repeat. Every bit as good as I remember. Used 20 10. & 8 kg DBs. By the time you get to the Lat section your shoulders are on fire 🔥. Great finisher

This is an ALL TIME FAVORITE UPPER BODY WORKOUT! The back to back no rest giant set moves using so many muscles at once is AMAZING! So much time under tension! And cardiovascular with the no to little rest and few cardio moves mixed in! Just enough cardio moves too.... Not excessive but enough to have this session sweaty!
Great workout! Loved the burpees and sprawls combined with the upper body. It really got my heart rate up. Thank you for making these types of short but intense workouts!!

I had missed working out on Monday, so i did two workouts today and nearly passed out on the mat 😅. This one was absolutely AWESOME! Loved it!
Good workout with variety. BUT I have to say this older, stiffer back is having a hard time with the daily burpees and sprawls - even with mods. Love the upper body stuff and hope to see more in the next series. 💪🏻

Second day of the week, after two extremely demanding workouts yesterday and Sunday, we will keep on working hard 💙💙💪💪💪 I hope today’s workout is a little less challenging 😅 though
Edit: did this workout very early in the morning before going to work, and my shoulders keep reminding me now how I « tormented » them 😝 . It was for me still hard but a little bit less than Yesterday, except for the triceps pus ups: I was not able to do at least a proper one 😩😩. Hi Myna...I’m afraid it’s another tough one today...but the giant set formula makes the time fly by...and the exercises are so brilliantly well planned that everything flows together really well! @@myna2325 Yes...it has been hot here! 34oC a couple of dats ago..then cooler...but now heading back up to about 28oC. This is what we consider to be very hot weather in England!

I find that the more regular music (ie from prior series) comes back in the last few days. So comforting as if hearing Caroline saying “you can” while I pushed along😜

Done with 15kg, 8kg and 4kg dumbbells. At the last minute I decided to use my dip bars after all instead of a chair; it was hard work but I got a few good reps in!
I’m now going to finish off my triceps with the add-on 👍🏼
I haven't sweated so much during upper body before. But the FUEL is completely different. Fun, builds muscles and burns fat. And my cardiovascular condition is going up again. Half a year ago, it dropped terribly after covid, and thanks to FUEL, it's rising again!
Hi Hana! What dumbbells did you use? I have always been very weak and unconfident and really struggle very much. My mom told that these lessons will help me build very thick strong arms and great confidence! I did this lesson with my mom. It was really hard for me. I used 2 kg and 1 kg dumbbells and stopped around the 14 minute mark as my arms just gave up. Is it very weak? My mom did the full lesson with 15 kg, 8 kg, and 4 kg.
@@rupinjeremiah9589 HI, I used 12,5 kg, 7,5 kg and 4 kg. If your weights wore you out, that was enough for you. It gets better and better and your weights will be heavier! :-)

I will work hard at this. When my mom lifts a 15 kgs potatoes bag and puts it on the kitchen table with just one hand I feel so demotivated. I wish I can do that even with two hands.

Hi Jessie! What dumbbells did you use? I am a man and I have always been very weak and unconfident and really struggle very much. My mother-in-law told that this lesson will help me build very thick strong arms, great self worth and confidence! I did this lesson with her. It was really hard for me. I used half-kg dumbbells throughout and stopped around 18.45 minute as my arms just gave up :( Is it very weak? My mother-in-law used 5 kg, 8 kg, and 15 kg dumbbells.
I so much loved the quad session yesterday.. The staple crouch to jump and burpee definitely made it even more killer!! It was absolutely another brilliant session by Caroline!! Looking forward to do this upper body giant sets today!! The way Caroline has arranged each set I am sure this will set my entire upper body on fire 🔥 And also Caroline mentioned in the description that we are targeting each muscle in the upper body today.. it's hard to write this because my arms are so fatigued :) :) this is another phenomenal upper body. i love it especially because it taps into biceps and shoulders which some of the other upper body workouts don't get to. my arms are feeling it BIG TIME! definitely consider FUEL series my favorite out of every series so far! especially all of the bodyweight exercises!

Oh my those giant sets were brutal and never ever in my life would I feel a burpee as a break …BUT THEY WERE! Amazing. I used to dread anything close to a burpee but I think my legs being stronger has helped a lot.

such a great workout. I am getting better at keeping the transitions smooth and getting into position a little faster. My jumps on sprawls are improving. I am taking less breaks overall. 6 months and getting stronger!!! Thanks Caroline. I feel great!!

I went on vacation to hike around Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Page Arizona. Your workouts are the only reason I could hike longer than usual. Also, your workouts are harder than the hikes!
