Excelente video hermano, espero pronto termines de instalar tu motor. Yo ya el 20 de septiembre llego a Venezuela para empezar a instalar mi 3sgte 5th gen en mi Celica. Saludos
Couldn't tell by the video but if that throw out bearing isnt a genuine Toyota or NSK you will want to replace it with a Toyota or NSK. The ones that come in the kits are super notorious for not lasting very long at all.
Getting so close. Will you need to modify gently the right strut tower for clearance off the timing belt cover like i will need to do with BEAMS? Being a Gen5 3SGTE I am not sure if they are the same as the earlier model motors. haha guess we find out tomorrow. It is looking really good mate!
All 3S blocks are the same. Internals and extras are different but the blocks are all pretty much indistinguishable no matter year or model. There should be no need to modify the chassis at all.
@@DeftAnesthetik yep know that about the blocks being the same pretty much. Why change a good thing. The guide I am following from mr2dotcom beams owners forums mention that the timing belt covers will rub with the gen 4s
Hello , no need to modify anything on the timing cover. Fits like a glove as is. My friend has a beam in his mr2 and I don’t see any modifications either. Engine will be in on next video, keep watching and appreciate the feedback as always.
@@bitingantz Sorry for the confusion, it is a 98 BEAMs out of a jdm Celica and I think that is where the trouble lays with the timing cover. Hoping you guys are right and it goes straight in. She has fought me on everything else it feels like some days!
Nice work, motor looks so clean.
Thanks 👍
I’ve learned so much from your videos! I love seeing all your Toyota celica alltrac stuff!!
Thanks man. I really appreciate the motivation and it’s a learning process for all of us.

Hello, I did not use the bearing from the kit. Ordered and used an oem Toyota bearing. Appreciate the feedback.
@@bitingantz I ordered an OEM one after your video.
Great in depth video
Thank you. Trying to be entertaining while ensuring all the steps are covered for a new diy er. Appreciate the feedback

Hmm, so your using a beams cover on a gen4 3sgte.. I can see where that may not fit perfectly. I’m using the covers from the original gen 5 engine

Did you install the 2 spacers that came off with the flexplate?
The spacers are not reused. Auto Gen5 Flywheel and spacers go to the trash.
@@bitingantz thank you!
