Dr. Wallace, thank you for following your passion to the Cross and adding clarity and beauty (and laughs!) to the embarrassment of riches. I will be sharing your work for years to come for as long as I can!!! God bless you and thank you!
Dozens of leading Linguists, Paleographers, and Scholars have examined the Codex Sinaiticus, maybe you can write to them and say "the end is missing" and have some discernment. I'm sure they will take your informed opinion into account.
I saw it when visiting the BL some years back. At the time I didn't know its background, nonetheless, I know it was an important document for us Christians. Today, I have learnt to appreciate and love such manuscripts due to Dr. Wallace videos and the CSNTM website. May God bless your ministry Dr. Wallace.
The more you dig into the ancient manuscripts, the more you see the absolute, unmatched, & irrefutable integrity of the biblical text. If you're willing to see the truth, you'll understand that the Bible is the inerrant word of God.
Here's a theory....I think what you may be seeing is the ink from the writing on the back side of the pages bleeding through. That's why it may look to you as if something's been erased.
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Revelation 22:18-21
But didn’t the people holding the supposed oldest Bible in the world know it was the oldest Bible in the world all those years they were holding it? And they said nothing?
I totally agree. There's an agenda, not wanting to sound like a conspiracy theorist. Wallace here loving to propogate his lies, or does he actually believe it? Naaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! Of course he doesn't, or is he that gullable?
@@jonathandutra4831 Yes, there are paleographers who are bringing up serious questions about the origins of Sinaiticus. Keep an open mind and take a look at the evidence and decide for yourself after seeing it. Are you scared to see it?
So ... the women never tell anyone "He Is Risen." in that version. Strange, but Mark has 666 verses if you don't add those other 12 verses. AND, it is'nt CHIRSTOS, but CHRESTOS in that version, and you can tell where they tried to erase that fact. Chrestos was a solar deity worshipped for about 1000 years before the TRUE "MASHIACH" YAHSHUA came on the scene.
Not so strange .If you check out the provenance of ancient documents you will find that many "originals of secular ancient books are far more questionable being over 600 years and more removed from death of supposed author . But they are accepted without controversy regarding their veracity That's what's strange . There are none so blind to truth as those who will not believe anything about or contained in the Bible. May be books about James bond would be less taxing for you
That's the most childish argument I've probably ever heard lol Let's use your logic with other Archeological finds. Seems strange that dinosaurs are millions of years old but the bones werent found until the 19th century. 🤡 Man a time gap has nothing to do with the Authenticity of Archeological evidence.

I could listen to him talk about this Codex for hours!
Notice the missing section at the end? Gee, I wonder how that happened 🧐 Discernment people!

@@dexterplameras3249 1:24 “almost all manuscripts have 12 more verses”. Straight from the horses mouth.
read The Forging of Codex Sinaiticus
Good idea.
We plan on seeing it in a couple weeks. Amazing manuscript and story. Thanks for sharing.
There's absolutely no proof for what he's claiming here. There are far more manuscripts that have the longer reading in Mark's gospel.
Not earlier , Your talking way later.
What part of oldest known copy do you not understand? Don't be a troll.

Hello, I was wondering whether the Codex is available to the public? Can you just go to the British Library and see it?

Not the Sinaticus though.... it's a fake!
It looks like part of it was erased , is that true ?
No, its a conspiracy theory

@@marthaj67 Thankyou for this perspective.
Maybe the person who copied it (some day Constantine Simonides) didn't have the line reading in Mark to coy from. In other words it's corrupt.

Well I certainly wouldn't like to be Tishendorf, that's for sure.
Awesome! :)
The open space at the end of Mark ?

Dr. Wallace’s reasoning for the short ending of Mark is irrational. Weird!!
And yet many people take that opinion as fact
@@joshlane9878MANY experts ! The passage is an interpolation. Not an original.
Not irrational, Most NT scholars agree with him. That passage is not found in our earliest manuscripts.
I like the NASB95, but it’s a shame they give this manuscript and Vaticanus so much weight.

It seems strange that it was written in the fourth century but wouldn’t found until the nineteen century? Wishful thinking
