DHS might have to give Diverting Hate a billion dollars... maybe you'll be able to crack 20k views.
You're here because of the DHS campaign too. Ha ha.😆
NGO traffic weak af 😂😂😂
That NGO diverted traffic must be helping
Why do we hold on to these outdated gender roles and expectations? Men can be kind without chivalry and old fashioned gentle men codes. Chivalry is also incredibly infantilizing to women because you're basically treating her like a child who needs a father figure to protect her.
Facts. And we need more women paying for dates and providing for the men. So done with gender roles.
I agree, but I also feel like chivalry is good to indulge in every now and then. We've all been raised with the same gendered expectations and they're all deeply ingrained in our subconscious. So I feel like even in the most gender neutral relationships, it's okay to play those roles a bit and not feel guilty about it. It's like the way a man wearing a dress just feels wrong while it is not wrong at all: these gender norms won't just leave our minds even though we realize they're just constructs. I think in time, we will he able to completely stray away from them, but rn I feel like for most people it would be just too mucy to get rid of gender norms altogether. We should work on it little by little
Guy on the left sounds like Neil deGrasse Tyson at times
Matthew Hussey is always incredibly insightful! So glad to hear his perspective on these topics. Great episode!
Dropping truths left and right
Saying "a team mate" implies things are equal, but we know women's pro sport teams are not paid equally and the double standards with sexuality are still not equal.
no one watches that's why
The WNBA only exists because the NBA funds the whole thing. The WNBA operates at a loss.
Chivalry isn’t dead it just needs to adapt
You can't adapt traditional gender roles to the modern world. That's like trying to put square peg in a round hole. Men need to liberate themselves from traditional male gender roles completely. What about effeminate heterosexual men? Those types of men are not naturally chivalrous? What you gonna do tell them to "man up" and conform to outdated social norms?
I also think chivalry is quite sexist and patronizing to women. men can be kind and compassionate without these old fashioned gentlemen codes.
I think that’s what Matthew is saying, define what it means for yourself and if it’s important then share that with potential partner in some way
Women should also be Chivalrous to men. That would be real gender equality. Chivalry goes both ways.
@@mandrake4116 I completely agree
