    Chris Do shares a funny story about his attempt to help his wife fix her computer and organize her files. However, things don't go as planned, and he learns a valuable lesson about the importance of giving and perceiving helpfulness. Chris delves into the concept of success defined through the eyes of others and emphasizes the significance of understanding their goals and measuring progress. He explores the idea of giving to get and how it can lead to reciprocity and long-term relationships. With engaging anecdotes and insights, Chris reveals powerful principles that can transform your approach to relationships, clients, and personal growth.

    It is very true. On a recent, small, local project (website), I made a design that worked well with great images, but would easily fall apart, when they would start adding something like photos taken on a phone by people who aren't photographers either. So I offered to do quality control on all the images for free. Partially because I thought it would make for a good portfolio piece and didn't want to see it ruined. But as a result, they've been coming back for more and more expansions on the project. So by giving them something (the image quality control), I now have had them come back to almost double the revenue from the project.

    I love this! it’s so important to remember to give without the expectation of receiving. To make giving a habit; to be of service and to be useful to others. It increases creativity and an abundance mindset.

    Chris, you are very pleassant to listen to. You give lots of insights and perspective, thus value. Im inspired and thats why I listen to your podcast since a long time. Im about to start my own business, and I apply some of the things you´ve learned and talked about. One of them is to give as much as possible, without asking anything back. That feel very natural to me. Thanks Chris.

    This is really an eye opening for me. The reprocity concept is really true as well as giving much and expecting less in return :)

    I have a what I think is an important question, What if you continuously ask them like what do they have in mind or what are their goals or the intention they have with this project and they just say "just do something" and give no direction, like they need a branding of sorts but they just give me a name and say "just copy the competition". Like, I know that I should do something unique and something that is useful for them, but I just can't wrap my head around these cases.

    Hi Chris, I am prior experience in only planning seasonal campaigns. However, I'm not well versed with designing or do freelancing but I want to open my own agency. So far, what I've noticed is that people in your pro group have prior skills in either graphic design, video production or any other artistic skill. Awaiting your kind response to my dilemma.

    Honestly I’ve been there from the beginning but I can’t even with those titles lately. Clickbait and Loudness, quantity over quality? Are those the values The Futur embodies…?
    You can do better. You used to.

      It's a shame, too, because the video is very good.

    • @digitaltablife
      @digitaltablife Рік тому

      I don't think the title is clickbait it just gets people curious interested and excited and if you want people to watch you need to create exciting titles because there's just so much stuff On Y T.

    • @bluetheredpanda
      @bluetheredpanda Рік тому

      @@digitaltablife You've litterally just defined clickbaiting (while excusing it).
      I personally do not like Buzzfeed-style titles. I think they are misleading, and imprecise.
      And since, as you put it, there is so much stuff on UA-cam, I don't have enough time to watch it all and rely on the title to make a decision. This type of title provides no value in the context of this decision-making process.
      Most high-quality media do not use these techniques, for this very reason. And if you go back to older videos, you’ll see that it's a relatively recent trend for The Futur.
      Now, I love Chris and the crew-as I stated, I’ve been watching them for years. But I do not think this is the right move.
      *It helps the channel metrics. It doesn't help the people*.
      If you do enjoy those titles, well…to each their own, I guess.
