Taylor Momsen deserved to be in the top 10, tbh
YES
Agreed, I actually watched this to see which spot she was in.... Just as tad disappointed
She's the best
Hell no.
Hell yes! Jonathan Konkel
Floor Jansen is just a honorable mention? Lol, you gotta be kidding me. She's the best one out of all the ladies in this video.
Agree!! WTH?
+CristinaWithoutAn H I also prefer Floor, but remember that this video is nearly 1 year old. would be different now. But still, tharja has been the more influential one.
+3picHamster what about the stuff in After Forever and ReVamp? Her vocals in After Forever blow everyone in this lost out of the water in vocal power, range and versatility, and dont even get me started with stage presence..
Rafa Berrios like I said before, I do think Floor was cheated out of the list. Unlike Tarja, she does have great versatility to sing operatically and clean vocals. On a live recording of Disdain, she almost went into a deep growl! I would have replaced her with Tarja because Tarja singing non operatically is weird
She is the best! Floor Jansen Eveeer!
"Lacey Sturm of Flyleaf"
*proceeds to show a song of Flyleaf where Kristen May is singing*
I was looking for this comment
Floor Jansen should be on the list not a honourable mention
The versatility in her vocals is mind blowing
Metal, opera, pop (The cover of Lady Gaga blows the original out of the water) rock, stage (phantom of the opera) and more to find out
Floor should be #1. Noora Louhimo should be on there, too.
Floor are one of the best female singer all kind of music. She can sing everything
yah this list needs some serious updating. Floor Jansen should definitely be at the top of this list. they should also re work it for newer bands like beynod the black and amaranthe
Why is Semblant not on this list?
No Joan Jett. NO FUCKING JOAN JETT. Without Joan Jett none of these women would probably be in this video. WatchMojo, I'm disappointed.
Abby Johnson yeah, i thought she would've been no. 1. Maybe they consider her more of a punk rocker than hard rocker, but idk.
Abby Johnson They called her a punk rocker in another video, but I always considered her more rock.
Joan Jett is #1 on another video of theirs call "top 10 frontwomen in rock"
Maybe its because she isnt metal...
Simon Cox This is a "hard rock" and "heavy metal" list. These people classify joan Jett has a hard rock musician.
Am I the only one who doesn't care about the rankings themselves and am just happy to be introduced to the rest of these incredible artists?
But they forgot about Semblant. If you like this list check them out.
The distillers chick married josh queens of the stone age..her best trait
Yes I checked them out and fell in love with some of them
Yeah, I wish there was link spam to their channels, like any well mannered UA-cam channel does with featured artists & creators!!
The fanboys gotta have their 5 minutes! :D
Amy Lee will always be number one in my book, she stole my heart at the age of 12, been a fan ever since, love her voice, got me through some pretty dark times, a true rock goddess.
Agreed. Amy Lee is a singer, composer and writer. She should have been #1 on this list.
@@Sheklen but this list was filled by frontwomen which mean singers, and there's no other who could be #1 than Tarja
YESSS AMY LEE IS AMAZINGGGG!! She and Evanescence will forever be my favorite band!
Same here
@@Sheklen Nope. Floor is #1 by a wide margin. Floor took Nightwish to heights even Tarja couldn't reach. Floor has more talent and versatility than all of these women. And I am not saying that out of bias. She is just that good.
I like how they talk about Lacey Sturm while playing a song where she wasn't the singer. Bold writing decisions!
That shit confused me really badly at first. But then I remembered that this is WatchMojo and they never have any fucking idea what they’re talking about anyway
My thoughts exactly
In this moment yes one of my top ones
But night wish is # 1 without a doubt
+Sam Larsen Maria Callas????
+Sam Larsen #1 isnt "Nightwish" but rather "Tarja Turunen". They even had Floor as a honourable mention ... even though Floor has a rather weak voice compared to Tarja.
I'm just saying night wish is my #1 not the list lol
+Sam Larsen Maria Brink always sounds like she's crying and her voice cracks. How is that good?
Maria Brink is just an "Honorable Mention"? Get your shit together, WatchMojo. Seriously.
wendy o' williams is no where to be found. dafuq
I think the people who pick the list are not metalheads some of them are just horrible
They don't respect our music and our legends to us
maria sucks she was great around 2007 but time went on the band became less Creative and more into metal version of MTV
it's because she fucking sucks
This list definitely deserves an update- and I'd vouch that there's enough badass frontwomen out there to validate separate lists for heavy metal and hard rock so we can give more artists their due.
You missed out Ann Wilson of Heart. Back in the day she was unstoppable.
I wouldn’t really call Ann Wilson hard rock
@@rosiemarcelscenes7803 You what? There were woman here with far less vocal power amid the guitars.
@@rosiemarcelscenes7803 she is totally hard rock.
@Wye Exploresr
I am on your side on this topic!! How dare they make a list like this and not have the QUEEN OF FEMALE VOCALISTS! Back in the day my a$$, she still kills it still today in 2021. Her sis is damn good singer in her own right but sadly not the QUEEN!.
@@toddscully256 hey I agree. They did some great rock tracks and she offered soaring vocals. Maan, her sisters a great guitarist.
Its now 2019 and this list deserves a re-issue with the inclusion of Tatiana Shmaylyuk of the AMAZING Ukranian Band JINJER.
^ This.
And Devilskin!
Agreed. Was just gonna say her
If this list doesnt include the lead singer of Amaranthe, Elize Ryd, I want no part of it... 😤
Agreed
Joan Jett. How the FUCK do you not have Joan Jett?! I just... I just can't.
And Lita Ford.
I think too..
I hope that they've done another video with Joan Jett on the list.
Joan Jett is good, but she does not have the range or power in her voice of some of these other singers. Sorry, she doesn't belong here. She is not a great vocalist.
yup you are right broo
Lacey Sturm, Amy Lee, Lzzy Hale, & Taylor Momsen have always been my favorites from this list
Noora Louhimo of Battle Beast definitely deserves a spot.
Maria Brink should have been on the list, not an honorable mention.
Maria brink is fucking amazing
She's not on here? I saw her in the beginning credits! I know number 7 and 8 shouldn't have been on there!
Wtf SHE ISNT ON HERE?
Speculations and opinion's will not make her better.
I can disagree
Simone Simon's number 7 and floor Jansen without a rank is a crime
I agree!!!!
Of all these Simone Simon of Epica is who got my interest
Yyy I know right..bhhhhh... and Sharon 9th dafuq
+1
@@TheGhostrecon42
So you where in a concert of Epica then?
Floor is an honorable mention. She should top the list
The undisputed number 1 is Floor Jansen. But she is out of competition because she is not a human being - she is the valkyrie goddess decended from valhalla. No 2 is Taylor Momsen - she's the guardian for rock future.
The first sound bite/clip you played of Lacey Sturm wasn't even Lacey Sturm; it was that new chick that they got to replace her after she left Flyleaf. Would it really kill you to put even five minutes of research into something like that before you put it in the video?
Couldnt beleive they put laceys name on some of Flyleaf's ( far worse) later works
The bigger question is why is flyleaf even in this list to begin with?
I know right? Its almost like they don't know very much about the subject they are trying to talk about, much less the individual bands and singers.
It’s WatchMojo. What’s research?
That's mentioned in the notes
What about Lita Ford, Joan Jett, Pat benatar? You know, the women that made it possible for these singers to exist?
Where is Josie McCoy? (Josie and the Pussycats)
She writes the songs. Plays lead guitar. Sings.
She is a legend! And she has been around longer than all in the list and honourable mentions.
Abit of the top man.Your comment I mean
I was expecting to see lita Ford at the top, so not to see her at all wtf? Ok, we get it, opera singers have joined rock bands. Move on to actual rock singers thanks...
Patti Smith?
Yes! Patti Smith is terrific, but I thought she is more punk.
I don't care what is happening from 10th to 2nd position, Tarja Turunen in the first place is justice to me! A divine singer-soprano, a whole music genre-setter, never misses a note, excellent work up to this day. Plus, one of the most majestic gothic beauties out there! I'm pleased! 😁
Not rock/metal. Maybe rock opera
@@josephrussell6946 Symphonic metal to be exact
And a total diva and didn't give a shit about her fans
Overstatement
And a one trick pony....beyond opera she isn't much.
Floor Jansen should have been in this top 10 list
although i love Tarja's voice,nothing beats Floor's
She should have been number 1, really. The fact she's relegated to an honourable mention is frankly insulting.
@@DJBubbleBoy absolutely!! She is called the metal queen, no one else so I don’t understand this list
@@DJBubbleBoy Makes a complete mockery of this list….
How the fucking fuck are Otep and Maria Brink only honorable mentions??????? They should have bumped a couple of the others off since they are both far more metal than most of this list.
I couldn't agree more.
OTEP shouldn't be honorable mentions
Technically they are not more metal, most of the women in the list where symphonic metal singers while Otep and Maria are more grunge metal I think they are all wonderful but sadly symphonic metal allows the singer to really show off with vocal ranges vebratos etc.. this is not really the case with grunge I think they should just do it by subcategories of metal. But they all fall into the metal category
@Chad Bremer thaaank uuuu!!! Said the same thing. Mojos "top 10" list is always some bullshit
Totally agree about Otep. Maria Brink...not so much. She's okay and she is where she belongs.
I agree with the Floor Janson comments... they also left out Elize Ryd of Amaranthe...
I agree !!!
I AGREE!!!
I agree mos def
Well, this video is 6 years old.
TaylorSith79, buuut... this video came out 6 years ago!
It's a sin for Floor to be just an honerabld mention, she should be number one. Also needs an update to include Brittany Slayes
Lzzy hale is insanely good, never been blown away more by a singer ❤️
Kat Perkins from Scarlet Haze is a rocker too. 🔥
Have you watched Floor Jansen?
@@northof4912 no ive not but that can be changed
@@sarahmiddleton7205 Highly, highly recommend! I'm a huge fan of Halestorm and Lzzy, that whole genre. Watch Floor with Nightwish. First one most people watch is Ghost Love Score at Wacken 2013. That will give a good view of her vocal range.
@@northof4924 okayyy. I’ll set a reminder and I’ll be sure to watch it. Thanks!😊
Halestorm is badass. Lizzie hale is the definition of badass, I love her attitude and her voice is incredibly powerful.
Yeah... I would've put her in the number one position. There are some incredible voices on this list though and all are incredible in their own way.
She's like old school hard rock singer, her duet with Amy Lee in Halestorm's Break In is amazing
She is absolutely FANTASTIC and BEAUTIFUL ❤️ Joan Jett + Pat Benatar = LizzyHale
Dude. Check out 2013 Wacken - Nightwish with Floor Jansen. Truly epic live performance. Ghost Love Score, Storytime, Everdream, Song of Myself... Absolutely incredible.
Lzzy is #1 for hard rock. Floor is #1 for Symphonic Metal. Classically trained, super versatile.
@@syntezjaofficial4240 Her stage duet with Dorothy Martin (from Dorothy) was amazing as well - wish they do a collaboration on an album.
The best, for versatility and for the beauty of his voice, is clearly Floor Jansen.
Martin Hernan Abeszyc amy lee from evanescence is the only alternative metal/rock band i listened to or “knew” about.. it still wins over this because she is so beautiful omg
And she has musics in 8 languages. Kkkk
But she cannot count she is not human!! She is a demi-god.
his voice? Floor is a woman, and she can give you a beat down.
@@byteme6346 allow for people who don't have English as a first language.
Not to mention that Tarja and Floor are very close friends, Floor even asked Tarja's blessing when Tuomas requested her to be officially made their lead singer back in 2013.
Brooo, floor cleans the floor with the other vocalists on this list😂
The first girl singing at 1:10 is not Lacey. Good researching watchmojo 😂👌🏻
I was looking for this comment XD
Same thing i was gonna write
Who is it?
Fluffy Bunn She is Kristen May who was the lead singer of Flyleaf for a while after Lacey left the band and chose her to be the replacement.
Oh I hope so. Kristen is horrrrible! I can't listen to anything of theirs with her as the singer.
Sharon, Lacey and Amy were the women who got me through some DARK times when I was in middle school and high school. Their music was such a comfort during those really hard times for me.
Yes! Yes! Sharon and Amy are my heart and soul. They really helped me in my life and motivated me so much! They have special place in my heart.
Cristina Scabbia have such a presence, that sometime you forgot that Andrea Ferro sing too.
Cristina is my Goddess
Mis favoritas:
1. Amy Lee (Evanescence)
2. Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation)
3. Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil)
4. Simone Simons (Epica)
5. Lzzy Hale (Halestorm)
6. Tarja Turunen (Nightwish)
7. Floor Jansen (Nightwish)
Aguante el metal femenino 🤟🏻🖤
We are fucktard according to you.sheeplist.
thank you you saved me from listened the horrible narrative
Amy Lee might be number 5 om this least but she always number 1 in my heart. She got me into the genre.
Shoulda been #1
what genre? new metal?
@@xibataxit no symphonic metal.
@@xibataxit I'd call Evanescence Hard Rock. Read the title cuz it's not just front women of heavy metal
@@matthewsmith4483 :o
Please. Maria deserved to be on the official list.
Kayla Lebrun agreed she shouldve been #1 then evanescence and lzzy hale shouldve been ranked higher...this was fixed i believe...my opinion...
I love Brink but she'd only maybe beat Sturn. I don't think you understand how incredibly talented these women are.
Right? She only gets a honorable mention? And Taylor Momsen gets one but Hayley Williams doesn't? Wtf. I hate this video lol. Not to mention my other comment about Lacey not even being in the first video/song. That song was after she left the band
Agreed, I'd actually put her at #1 or #2 with Hale. Not for sheer vocal power or finesse but diversity and just good lyrics and sound.
Taylor makes hard rock, so counts on the list, Hayley however makes soft rock, and nowdays even not that - just pop. I love them both very much, but when it comes to music generes, they are on very diffrent spots.
The #1 can sing mezzo-soprano, contralto AND coloratura soprano!!! That is insane! Obviously I have some training and I really appreciate that sort of talent. A very rare gem indeed!!!
With time and in her solo career, Tarja went on to expand her vocal techniques in order to feel more comfortable in the lower octaves, seen as she was "categorized" as a lyrical spinto soprano at the time.
The results are noticeable in her more recent works, like in her cover of the Muse song "Supremacy"
You mentioned already Simone Simons, Sharon den Adel, Floor Jansen forgetting the amazing female fronted singers Manda Ophuis, Zora Cock, Laura Guldemond, Lisette van den Berg, Anneke van Giersbergen, Charlotte Wessels, Marjan Welman, and Dianne van Giersbergen. All from Dutch origin, and so every country has its list of great female fronted singers in rock/ metal bands.
I feel like this video was made by searching "girls who made rock songs" in youtube and taking the first 10 different artsists
I'm going to give them some credit because it looks like they did a little bit of research. They probably knew the magnitude of Tarja for her to rank on top. But yea the rest of the list was bad.
Kormit, what a stupid comment.
Probably lol!!!
That’s exactly what they did. I mean the first song in #10 isn’t even Lacey.
Great list, but Taylor M. from pretty reckless is really good too. Glad she got an honorable mention
I agree!
Taylor Moron is a commie stooge. She adores Che Guevara. No support from me.
@@byteme6346 just like Madonna
I think now in 2021 Taylor Momson is close to #1 after Death by Rock and Roll.
Finaly you got a corect number one! I met her in person, saw her in a multitudine of concerts. Tarja is the real queen!
Digging this! 💯
Tatiana from Jinjer !!!
Stéphane GIRARD Yesssssss!
🤘YES🤘
Meh
old list, she'll be at the top before too long here.
@@jamesonrhodes6018 I don't know, is she really that special? I'd rather take Floor Jansen to this list instead of being honorable mention.
I love Halestorm. Lzzy is one of my favorites.
Lizzy is my all time favorite frontwomen. Her vocals are insane and her guitar work is amazing
Saw them live a couple years ago with stone sour... what a badass show. Halestorm put on a hell of a show
Same, I'm soo excited to go see Halestorm and Evanescence in November.
Mine too. I love this band ❤️
Wait until Plush breaks out. Lzzy loves plush
I haven’t seen this video ever since it came out and I’m pretty sure this is how I found some other bands that I have been listening to since!!!! 10 yr old willo would be so happy!!! I found evanescence when I was reallly young like around 8 or 9 and they are still my absolute favorite band!!
I know this will most likely be an argument that goes on till the end of time, but I personally think Floor is a better singer then Tarja.
you forgot Ashley Costello from new years day!!!
Kiana Reinfelder Who?
You can read it?? xDMichelle Zhou
Kiana Reinfelder never heard of Ash Costello lol
She's the frontwoman of a band called "new years day". Her voice is great!
When I first heard Kill or be killed I wasn't really interested but Malevolence got me into their music
Maria only being in honorable mentions and Lzzy and Amy being as low as they were shows how messed up this list is
Floor Jansen 1, Sharon Den Adel 2, Simone Simon 3 Tarja 4 and so on. So much more powerful voices than Lzzy and Amy they should be 10 and 9.
Evanescence is pop rock, so is halestorm. Just cause lizzy does a shrill scream doesn't make it hard rock. Okay I suppose you could call halestorm heavy pop.
Shows how little they know about rock and metal @PhillipSmith
Hale is overrated. Halestorm is Nickelback with a female lead who now looks like Joan Jett
@@tshortbull8683 they are hard rock though... Both of them. Or I guess evanescence is gothic rock.
Stage presence... vocal mastery..the best front woman in the business...Floor has my vote!!😈
Why?
Aren't you content with Tarja being #1 on this list? 🤔
@@carlossilva7530 No, Tarja does operatic very well. Floor does everything very well.
@carlossilva7530 what does Tarja have to do with this? The comment waa about Floor's stage presence and vocal ability. It had nothing to do with Tarja
Being a vocalist isn't everything. What about songwriting, individuality, and unique artistry?
Amazing list
Maria only gets an honorable mention? Lame
I know thats rude i was hoping she would be at number 1 but then she showed up on the honorable mentions and i was like fuck
@@lesliecarrizales4360 that's NOT rude, that's just personal taste
Runaways were first at it
It's the downside of those lists. Often the reason for "just honorable mention" is: there is a similiar one way to high up. So honorable mentions often are actually top spots but like slightly worse then the actual pick. So you can often see them as like 3.5, 2.5 or even 1.5.
So it just fells like a lot worse then it actually is.
Floor Jansen in honorable mentions ? Such a big mistake.
+duguy182 Yea, Floor is pretty given at the #1 spot, Tarja should get the honourable mention.
+duguy182 I think the same, she deserves a place in that fucking top10
+alfaDude156 I disagree, Tarja had so much stage presence, i miss her just for that, but Floor is doing an amazing job nonetheless, miles better than Anette.
+Fiddlesticks WT I honestly feel like Floor has more stage presence, but that's just my opinion
+Fiddlesticks WT Anette is great too, I really love both CDs she made with Nightwish. Her voice is completely different but still, she is a great great singer.
I'll add ten more:
Kate De Lombaert - Acid
Sabina Classen - Holy Moses
Donita Spark - L7
Candace Kucsulain - Walls Of Jericho
Sonya Scarlett - Theatres Des Vampires
Onielar - Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult
Morgan Lander - Kittie
Beki Bondage - Vice Squad
Kim McAuliffe - Girlschool
Joan Jett - The Runaways
I absolutely love halestorm I know that much I knew Evanescence would be here but I figured those two would be closer to the top lots of good front women to choose from now
I am seeing them live on November 30th. I can't wait.
Floor Jansen only gets an honourable mention? Seriously?
She is just a sweet Disney princess
They always do 1 person per band/movie/song whatever, and Tarja Turunen had to be #1.
Yep this rank sucks
i know right? she is better that Tarja
RIGHT?! AND TARJA GETS FIRST?! I was like WTF FLOOR can kick Tarja's ass, note for note!
1:17 That's funny. Lacey Sturm is on the list, and they played a song from the Kristen era.
I was just about to post that like wtf?? lol
I was just haply flyleaf was included
lol I just noticed that too lol
damn itKristen sucks
+Justin Sparks yea
If it’s hard rock then any list that doesn’t have Pat benatar, lots Ford, Joan Jett, Liz phair or Nina and Louise from veruca salt doesn’t have any credibility.
Love Lzzy Hale she’s my favorite she’s such a bad ass 🤘🏼
Where is Tatiana from Jinjer? And why is Maria only an honorable mention?
Probably because Jinjer only really became popular over the last year or so. This video is from 2014. Because she should be #1 on this list without a doubt. By far the best range of any vocalist, male or female. Saw them live at Heavy Montreal 2018 as well and she's just as good live as she is on albums.
Battle Beast vocalist Noora and Britney Slayes from Unleash the Archers
i'm thinking too about what reason they have to just give honorable mention to Maria Brink and i'm asking where they stuck Heidi an Carla of Butcher babies. Buuut i'm not the one who made the list so i'll have to be happy witth Tarja on rank 1 anyway
No offense but Maria is kinda over rated
JINJER...
Tarja Turunen earned her top spot her voice is unnaturally good, DAMN. Some of those honorable mentions should have been on the list instead of the others.
So how is an opera singer at the top of the list of rock and heavy metal bands I'm just curious
Tarja was in Nightwish
Tarja was the FIRST female singer of Power Metal, then the other come to scene. (I repeat, Power Metal, not Heavy Metal)
And floor has surpassed her
1- Lzzy Hale Halestorm
2- Taylor Momsen Pretty Reckless
3- Dorothy Dorothy
4- Sebnem Ferah
5- Miley Cyrus
I love the O-tep mention. Try early mushroomhead and Therion.
Never been so happy to hear lzzy hale and amy lees names
Wb taylot momsem and maria brink tho? :(((
Kudos to Doro. Finally someone who can sing.
She might have been able to, once. But her main talent is living off past fame with a voice that is only good for karaoke, more so compared with most of the others.
Lacey Sturm
you couldn't be more wrong, moron. Doro is still putting out new music and not relying on past fame. There's a reason she is still referred to as the queen of metal.
Lzzy Hale should be further up on this list.
She did tour with Lita Ford
She definitely should have made it BEFORE Amy Lee!!!
Agreed!
@@mandymason1904 in no way shape or form is Hale above Amy, Lzzy isn't even better than Lacey Sturm.
Not before Anneke van Giersbergen
so many good songs and bands/singers in the comments as well, its amazing.
There's no other front woman better than Ann Wilson from Heart
She’s not metal. I think she topped a rock list.
I was expecting Otep to be on the actual list.
+Jon Hoskins (Headband) agreed, they're actually metal. i was disappointed as well when kitty wasn't even mentioned.
+Jon Hoskins (Headband) Me too!
Yesss!!!!!! :/
Agreed.

You can't be serious: Floor Jansen can't make the top 10? This survey pretty much invalidated itself with that idiotic exclusion. She has awesome range, the ability to effortlessly switch between multiple styles and an absolute powerhouse on stage. Floor is #1 in my book.
Horseshit mate she is nowhere close to those other gals on the list, she didnt do more than Anette Olzon anyway, and Anette has kind of a bit nicer voice tho .
@@adikcod666davyjoneslockerg3 I'm not your mate, and your opinion is duly noted and disgarded as you obviously don't know the first thing about voice.
Annette and Tarja gave Nightwish their biggest hits. Floor hasn't given Nightwish any hits. That's why she's an honorable mention. Also, this list was made in 2014.
@@nicholew350 Who tf gives a shit about hits?? Have you even listened Jansens vocals?
@@oluenjuoja2281 Yes, she’s good. Nothing I haven’t heard before.
I love Maria Brink. Floor is technically the best there is. Angela Gossow had more balls than any other. But for my money, for all-around power, control, tone and just full-on brilliance nobody beats Hale. That woman STILL surprises me when I hear her belt it out live.
When they played Sweet Sacrifice, I screamed like a little girl. I love evanescence so much.
Tarja makes sense as number one but how is Floor just an honorable mention? Also how is Sharon, Simone, and Lzzy so low?
Floor and Simone...the goddesses of metal.
Kaoru agreed
Seconded! I can only think that they didn't want to go too Nightwish or too Dutch. Because honestly ridiculous if Floor isn't in top ten! Tarja made a big impact early days of symphonic metal with her operatic voice, and expanded into contemporary rock and pop-metal singing. She has been an influence to the whole generation of female metal singers and is still today a phenomenal voice and composer and keeps doing metal outside of Nightwish - who made this list knew what they were doing.
Although many Nightwish veterans are die-hard Tarja worshippers, Floor has won their favor too, she is super popular here in Tarja's homefield Finland too. Granted, there are some who never can get over Tarja, but that's often the case with bands that change singers. Floor is fantastic and if you stick only with Tarja, I'm sorry but you miss great music.
I like your taste, Kaoru.
I'll agree with Simone not Floor.
I can't believe Axl Rose didn't make the list. Not even an honourable mention
Vince Neil too!
I am really dissapointed Rob Halford is not in.
😂😂😂😂
Mada faka 😂😂😂
@@sorrynotsorry5589 Vince N has been Roiding lately. He got all Big & Buff. Saw a picture of him the other day and couldn't believe it.
One of the best singers ever, Floor Jansen is in the honoroble mentions? say what now?
I completely agree that Tarja is the #1 but I think that Floor Jansen deserves at least the 2nd place.
Floor Jensen an HONOURABLE MENTION?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 who decided on the rank??
Floor Jensen is god tier, if you put her on the list then everyone else become irrelevant.
Floor Jansen
@@nocturnetuber Tarja was better; not that Floor is bad, but Tarja defined the band better.
Tarja is better than Floor, it is a fact
@@MrSlowestD16
That's because the songs are written for her and no Tarja is not a better singer. AT ALL.

Kill me.
I know right?
I thought that wasn't Lacey! wow...
OH GOODNESS. I thought i was the only one who noticed. crazy right?
My first thought was that was disrespectful
the first I thought was " º-º) "Sons of a BITCH"
This is terrifying. I had a song by the distillers stuck in my head, I forgot the name of the band and I was wondering what they were called. I never said a word about it, I never searched anything about it. UA-cam and google is literally reading my fucking mind. The same thing happened to me while I was playing bitlife, where I had a song by periphery stuck in my head, and an event thing popped up on the game about a periphery concert.
Doro Pesch should have been #1. She has been consistently putting out albums since her Warlock days in the 80's until current day as a solo artist. She is a power house vocalist and very talented song writer
I came here thinking: "I wonder if Floor Jansen is #1?"
I left here laughing my ass off at Floor Jansen being an honorable mention 😂😂
Ik.
There's so many people who agree that Floor Jansen blows Tarja out of the water. 😂😂 Just because she brings a lot more flavor to the song, and it's not _entirely_ operatic. Sometimes we want an otherworldly variety in voice.
Floor looks like a dude, and she sings like one too
I know it would be Nightwish in first place, but was not sure if the would be Floor or Tarja.
Unbelievable, isn't it?
@@pidpit not really smh
Wtf? The pretty wreckless and In this moment being "mentioned"?
Yeah this list sucks it's all pop rock , I was hoping to see the chick from the agonist or straight line stitch
This is from 2014...so yes.
Hah yeah in the moment is the best
Yes. Revised list please...2019.
@mark odenbrett if you watched then you did see ‘the chick’ from the agonist. Just the original one (Alissa White-Gluz), not the replacement one. Who was brought in after Alissa was kicked out by other band mates after being asked to join Arch Enemy
"I love flyleaf" and "In This Moment"
I thought of one they didn’t mention: Sabina Classen- Holy Moses
James Hetfield of Metallica , Dave Mustaine of MegaDeth Joey Belladonna of Anthrax and Tom Araya of Slayer are the greatest frontmen in Thrash Metal. But have you ever seen a woman be the lead singer of a Thrash Metal band? The correct answer is yes. Holy Moses was one of the first German Thrash Metal bands fronted by Sabina Classen along with her then husband Andy on lead guitar. Sabina’s snarling vocals helped Holy Moses become one of the most recognizeable bands of The German Heavy Metal scene.
Where is Anneke van Giersbergen from The Gathering?
Not to mention all her work with Dev Townsend!
amy lee on no.5
o.0
Jansen not even in the list?
who came up with list?
Exactly...Most of their lists are very disappointing
Amy voice Is More powerfull and strong, Floor Is a little Princess in love
@asdas saddasd ...Haha...Floor s voice Is very very very very very very very sweet, as a teenager, Amy s voice Is still More powerfull than Floor...sorry for you...🤷🏼♀️
@asdas saddasd shut up man
@asdas saddasd shut up man
Flyleaf song I'm So Sick was my favorite go-to song of the early 2000s plus she's a Christian so that's cool!
Liked her version of "how he loves us"
when i saw this evanescence quickly comes in my mind
how the hell did maria brink only get an honorable mention?
I know I thought she was #1 😭
ITM are a fucking pop band.
Same
Because she lip syncs half of her shows... dont believe me Google it.
@@imacahguy i dont I've seen her live multiple times
Tatiana Shmailyuk all day. This list was published in 2014 and sorely needs an update.
Yeah. An update here is needed badly. These leading ladies at Hard Rock and Metal put the overwhelming majority of singers on mainstream radio to shame. And virtually no one even knows anything about them.
2:09 She's also singer of the "In and Out of Love" by Armin van Buuren
Who’s watching this September 2021? We need an updated list FOR REAL!! This list 6 years old. The evolution of women in metal has become unbelievable! You could do a top 20 now. Tatyiana from jinjer and Courtney from spiritbox are my top favorite singers period! Unleash the archers needs to b on here too. 😁👍
Taylor Momsen and Maria Brink should have been more than Honorable Mentions IMO
Elize Ryd from Amaranthe too
+BobbyBev95 Yeah, I wasn't even sure cause once I saw Lzzy Hale at #6 I skipped to 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and just skipped Honorable Mentions, cause they don't matter.
I'd put my top 3 as 3 Amy Lee, 2 Taylor Momsen, 1 Lzzy Hale.
Brink should have posted at least somewhere in there.
tbh neither should have even been on that when they miss our Shirley Manson
Shirley Manson isn't hard rock. Garbage is more alternative rock closer to grunge.
Elise Ryd from Amaranthe?
+lacunarikain2 she can't sing she just dances
winter Riiight
+lacunarikain2 Of curse, maybe she deserves one place on this top, more than Tarja or Floor.
i just said the same LOL
Amaranthe is Metal-Pop
Amy Lee (Evanescense) and Sharon (Within Temptation) deserved to be way higher in that list...probably in the Top 3
All heart rock and heavy metal front women are my favorite but boy do I love heart rock rock and roll heavy metal thrash metal power metal black metal death metal classic Rock these are rocking music to my ears
I mean, I like "Set Me On Fire" as much as the next person, but that's not Lacey on vocals.
I was wondering who else it bothered. I saw that and I was like WTF?!?!?!
Literally came in the comments to say the same thing... Like fucking Christ. Not even just an accidental slip going over the career of the band. But OPENING with her while Lacey's name card is showing....
Yeah that was really a fuck-up by Mojo there :(
Thought the same thing. I'll admit, I don't know who that other person is, but I know it's not Lacey lol
Came here to make sure someone pointed that out. Thank you
Halestorm and Within Temptation are my favorites of the list.
Floor Jansen as an honorable mention???? No way! She is number one!
Floor Jansen and Tara got the positions switched. Floor is the best front woman in music today.
