It’s always super interesting tweaking your setup to find out what works. Looking forward to seeing you keep working this out mate. Those half cabs over the hip were absolutely perfect by the way.
Cheers, I just wish I could commit to them right away but I always have to do a few 1 foot lands first to get the confidence up. I just hope I find something clear by the end of it and it don't always end up like this session.
It would be fun to see you try out some wide/shaped decks
It can be really exciting and makes you skate differently!
Loving the videos as always! 🤙
I was thinking about a different size deck depending on the results I find.
I've always played with my setup, mixing truck parts, bushings, shapes, etc. Easy to do back in the 80's each new board was a new shape. Time passes and I'm into the "madness" due to following another youtuber, Ben Degros. If you want to go crazy with wheelbase, boards steepness and fingers of flat only available to certain truck brands geometries check him. 😂
All I know is how it feels to me. I need a huge wheelbase as I'm quite tall.
Nothing like playing with setups.
Yeah I'm just messing about with the few parts I have to hand at the moment but I may go further into it in the future.
Ben Degros makes some great content and is very knowledgeable. If I do take this further I will defo check out his video on this for some help and useful info.
Looking at all the snow in Oldham right now looks like my wet board is gonna be my only option lol 😂
Yeah I might have to bring the snowboard out of retirement.
Typically when I get a new board, it always feels a little bit heavier, but I get used to it quicker now than in the past because I expect it to be heavier (if that makes sense) Some setups can suit a skater very well, while others not so much. I agree with what Kieran said though.
Yeah that makes sense. I don't think the perfect set up really exists but I'm going to try and find the closest one that suits me. I think for each session a different set up would be better but until you start that session you don't know which sort of set up it right. Some sessions you just feel it right from the start and are in the zone. On these days the light set up is what I would want. Other days are slow burners though and you need to get into them where then the heavy set up is the one.
