Dad gets the hookup on some new board grinders and seizes the opportunity to pit boneless trucks with heavy boys in the battle of the century then SLACKS on his Oreo game, wow great job Dad!
Yung Spice your comment never disappoints man👍👊
yung spice in the house
Yung Spice your the best 😂
yassssssssss DAD
I smoke weed thru my hollow trucks
Gypsy Hustle hahaha I thought I was the only one
I smoke thru my kingpin
Samee
I have hollows now I need to do that too
Gotta try that. Maybe drill a choke hole 😉
I ride trucks, i'm really glad they exist
haha same i like trucks
REALLY. YOU LIKE TRUCKS SAMEEEEEEE. TWINNNNYYYS
I like you, i’m really glad you exist
I prefer wheels
I like trucks, but i also ride wheels too. I know, crazy, riding trucks and wheels at the same time. And get this, I use hardware and bolts! Ik I'm insane.
Every single vs video dale makes “Its pretty much personal preference”
you commented that on the wrong video because light and heavy trucks do make a difference not just preference
Riley it is preference, I hate light trucks, gimmi the heavy ones. The board carries so much better the heavier it is.
Yeah I've also come to the conclusion that dales comparison videos never have a conclusion. Still love him none the less
Allen key vs regular bolts it's all preference, colored bolts vs regular bolts it's all preference, long bolts vs shorts bolts it's all preference, and of course shop bolts vs pro model bolts it's all preference
Elijah Woolf well of course, and many of us in this world have similar preferences. If Decker wasn't telling us what he thought & about his personal experiences this wouldn't be a vlog lol
I work in a machine shop making surgical instruments and I absolutely hate working with titanium. After the shape Is cut out In a Cnc machine is cut out the part will literally jump out of the vice and titanium like warps sometimes. I would highly recommend not buying anything titanium from a non reputable brand or a brand known for bad quality because it takes much more attention to detail and effort to work with.
It sounded like Dale said “He sent me a lot of drugs.” 1:51 Lol 😂
IT DOES 🤣💀
Can you make a chocolate Oreo vs vanilla Oreo video
The results would be, "it pretty much comes down to preference".
Chocolate Oreo is nasty
Amre Zhengis lmao fax
Vanilla 🔥
I've been skating independent hollows for the past 3 years or so now and I love them! I noticed a big difference after moving away from standards. I ride a pretty odd setup compared to most people. I actually skate an 8.25 with 159s so I'm always happy to keep it light as I can with such wide trucks!
Zeniax mostly street actually, I love having the width for locking in on grinds. Also my turning radius is much better with wider trucks.
Thunders are light anyway, try Indy standards vs thunder hollows
Ike Buttle 🤣🤣 fr
I have indies and hate them they’re so heavy
@@josephweller2724 me too
Yer I just bought some standard thunders and a mint welcome deck and it surprised me how light the setup is, it's minty dope
@@josephweller2724 LMAO
Good video, man. Thank you. I skate Indy lights and love them. Can't wait for boards to get even lighter. I think it's the future. Also I AM RIDING THAT TOP LEFT RIPNDIP CAT BOARD 😊 Lovely board.
I bet the guy that stole my board doesn't even know how to skate 😑😪😢
Shiiny Hipster it's probably someone you showed it off too
I had a brand new skateboard that was stolen outta my car , and on my birthday man ! I am a newbie and only skated it at work (school maintenance) I loved cruising down the halls at 5a.m. on that thing lol
@@lebowskiunderachiever3591 fuuck thas a cool job mate
My board got stolen with $120 bearings in my STF's. :(
@@justinroesler8146 that's painful bro
Jim does rule, sent me new Thunders because my pivot cups blew out. Been riding Thunders since 89!! He's the man
My titanium Indy's made a convert out of me. I ride a 9.25 shaped deck with rails and 60mm slime balls wheels for bowl and mini ramp and have mostly skated Indy's in 30 years of skating. I got a pair of forged titanium's and it changed everything. I can do a little street skating on my big board with big wheels. Definitely swapping them into my street setup and switching to them for future purchases.
I owned a pair of GullWing Magnesium as a kid, those were amazing, but my favourite were always Gordon Smith trucks, superlight
5:23 "based on the experience that I've had skateboarding for the better half of two decades..."
Standards are the heaviest ones. "Titanium lights" are supposed to be similar in weight as the hollow lights. Titanium is supposed to be light. But strong. I've been wanting to try them. Right now I have Indy hollows, but thunders are always lighter than Independents
Try tensor mag lights
I like the Cat pulling ta bird deck! :D
Haven't snapped any solids but the king pin on a couple hollowed out ones back in the day I did, but I feel the difference in the flip and the weight when cruising the park I feel just going through the light feels faster
I like what you do tho and it is interesting to watch u an ur homies skate and do stuff.
Can't wait to try new set up with the hollow lights
Thank you so much my kids turning 21 and now I can't force his ass to the hospital tired of him rolling his ankle I'm positive weight of trucks matter. Thanks bro
It would have been a great idea to weigh the trucks and see what the actual weight diff is. Im sure the info is out there I the net somwhere but still.
great comparison dale!
i skate some Royal IV great long lasting trucks
Your "heavy" trucks are made of aluminum, which is actually lighter than titanium. So hollow Ti vs solid Al is about as close as you can get weight-wise. You should compare hollow magnesium with solid steel :)
I ride destructo hollow magnesium trucks on an element helium deck, welcome hollow wheels and modus titanium bearings. the feel is pretty different.
ahhh nice. yeah I corrected myself at the end of the video. I called standard polish once titanium by mistake.
Dale Decker ya but they are actually lighter than titanium
The polish ones were not aluminum
Dale Decker oh sorry they looked like it to me. Must be cro-moly or some other alloy, doesn't look like steel
most "titanium" trucks have aluminum baseplate and hanger... the titanium on them is the axle... where titanium is lighter than the steel normally used
Any experience with the new Tensor all terrain mag lights? there are no reviews I can find on them since came out.
Yeah I was in the same boat, no reviews at all. I just went with the mag light low Primer daewons, still no review but I’m hoping they are great
Your a mad dawg giving those trucks away, you'd be a generous mate to have, I like your video's they btw helpful sewing I just got back into it.
glad you get enjoyment out of them!
I don't like the base plates on thunders so I use indy base plates with a thunder hanger! Its totally better because when doing nose and tail slide you base plates is also grinding the ledge or whatever you are skating! But with thunder base plates you wheels are sliding against the obstacle which can leave you with flat spots and also slows down your slide! Try it and see what I'm talking about! I discovered this when I wore down my indy hanger to much and really wanted to give thunders a try ! But I realized that I don't like their base plates!
3:34 haha sick catch dale father
Love this type of vids
I usually skip through ppl's intros but i don't with yours they are good and entertaining.
do a local board brand vs a big board brand
I should be studying right now
wtf am I doing with my life
Does Gullwing still make the nylon based, magnesium trucks?
I run my thunder 147's with an 8.25 deck and it feels fine lol
Raise Hell Praise Dale!
Slammin
riding tensor mag lights, trash the brand all u want but my other trucks are the basic indy trucks and them on my zero 8.125 board (zeros are heavy appartenly) make it a nightmare, doesnt even pop, but the mag lights pops like crazy
Why you don't try tensor trucks or so lite 👍
i have standard 147s and had just switched from my indys and it made everything so hard😂 i’m gonna give them another shot soon. i could barely do anything cause of the massive weight difference between the brands😂
the jake pussy
It might be that you need risers for the thunders. You probably lost some pop due to them being lower.
Lots of cool guy action lol
Dale your awsome. Thank you.
Brooooo those trucks are gonna last so long !!
I use thunder hollow lights! Also check DM😂😂
the thing is that different boards have different tails and work differently withe different trucks, like a board might get no pop with thunders but another might get amazing pop,you cand compare the pop if you have 2 different boards, still a great video tho
Do you notice that hollow trucks sound weird? I mean it makes sense..considering they're hollow but just curious if anyone else was thrown off by the noise and slight feel of light trucks. I just started riding my first set a few weeks ago, love to hear an opinion
what do you think about them 3 months later?
I'm looking for a lot of cool guy action, someone please let me know where to get it
Dale daddy
Love videos like this Dale! 🤘🏻
Just a heads up the notification bell change on me twice,I had it set to always let me know for a new video " " symbol was off the bell again. So just a heads up on this new system of notification sucks
Great review..👍👍
I've had the same silver x alien workshop trucks for yeeeaaars
Slammin Oreo Squad
What is the black board behind you called ?
Were those skate stoppers
at a skatepark
Hey Dale what happened to your suspension trucks???
Damn he sent you mad money worth of trucks! The standard and hollow lights aren't too bad. But the titaniums are bread. Also I skate Indy hollow 139's and love them.
Indy for life
Hey dale I actually like heavy better I like krux because it makes me feel like it's not slipping away from me even though I skate street
Skateboarding is like a fun work out; the better and stronger you get, which doesn't make you add less weight to your "dumbells", it makes you catch kick-flips faster, ollie higher, grind longer etc....so I think saving a couple hundred grams on your new complete only makes you weaker in the long run. After you master a trick ad more weight to the board and be a man and earn some more "mus-skills"!
If you want light trucks, just buy Tensor Mag light, and put your old bushings in. Cuz they are really hard!😂😬
Cookie monstar. Cookie cookie cookie Where's da cookie!??
Woah dale
Anyone knows what motorbike does dale have?
Which is lighter titanium lights or hollow lights???
What skatepark is this?
What about thunder standard lights with the hollow baseplate
I'm a little behind but solid Titanium axles are lighter than hallow steel axles and stronger.
oreogang!!💯🤘
“I heard it’s better to fart sitting down “
Hey Dale you wanna giveaway a pair of those trucks to your loyal subscribers?? ;)
I found a skateboard years ago at s park near where I live and it was a skinny board that was spray painted over so I wasn't able to tell what kind it was but the trucks were thunder and I've always wondered if they were legit trucks and now I know it was most likely a legit board and now I'm sad because I don't have it anymore because a "friend" of mine took it to a pond and "lost" it over there😥 I miss that board so much 😭
Swap out the hangers and have two sets slightly lighter then standard.
Welcome daddy dale
Dale is the best 🌑🌑🌑🌑
Brad cromer pro model is sick !
Next up, try indy's 109 vs 215's!
Dale has nice teeth. Mine suck and I look like a hillbilly. Great vid, by the way!
Hate to tell you but titanium is not heavy! It’s light as hell so your heavy trucks may not really be heavy? There are actually trucks that are almost half as heavy as others , it would be cool to compare those ( Tensor mag lights and some Indy boat anchors ?)
Yeah I butchered that my bad
Dad are you ever going to use spitfire wheels 🤔
dude, sick collection of boards you got behind you!!
You always make such great videos that help learn about skating and brands
Thank you!
Dale Decker 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
I think the hallow lights would manual better because the weight would be easier to lift
Noticed you're really aggressive doing grinds. I always tried to be really soft or fluid with grinds. Does being more aggresive make grinds easier?
It helps me commit and committing for me is the most assuring thing I can do to not only land the truck but be safe. It’s a gamble every time but you reduce your risk of injury I think
The first gen hollows did snap more doing grinds and big shit
Did you forget about the shoe give away ? Sorry for asking again
Is that LA
"First you slam. Then you land."
Damn, this dude getting all these free trucks and I can’t even afford to get decent trucks.
hes a genuinely a nice person x143
I was under the impression that titanium is a heavier metal than what normal trucks are made of. Magnesium trucks are lightest trucks I've ridden
Wait hold on what about the wheel size that makes the difference
You should do next new trucks vs old trucks
My trucks are on my skateboard and my experience is still shit cuz I suuuuuck so I’ll stick to slappys 😂😂😂🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
should have done hollow indies vs thunder lights or standards
But what truck it's best to smoke crack thru.
bruh that supreme board
Dale you should've ate that Booger in your nose instead ..juskidding.. This was a Kool video good shit Dale.
I think the standard joints have a higher baseplate
wheels?
Nice 👍🙂
