Lizzy = best npc ever together with Ellie. There no point when Elizabeth literally is a auto heal cheat and all you gotta do is save her and play the story almost every time I am about to die she throws me health I like Elizabeth as a character but she kind of makes upgrades pointless and simplifies the gameplay
For tearing down game mechanics to make them seem to be less valuable than they are for a lot of people just to belittle anyone who enjoys it. That makes you fun. And I mean that sarcastically.
The FEAR AI was dynamic, reacting to the player organically and using the environment to hunt down, trap, and confuse the player. It would panic if enough of a squad was taken down, it would knock down bookshelves to get in the player's way, it would use cover when needed and even charge in at times to flush a player out. It would even control the voice cues you hear in the game, to show the mobs panicking, to hint to the player what the AI was doing with those mobs, to trick the player at times. There were very few scripted events with that AI, all of it was dynamic, reacting to the player. And it didn't act like a glorified slot machine that threw ammo at you when you were running out of bullets, or health when you started getting hurt. It didn't hand hold you through the game and actually reacted to the events going on around it... unlike Elizabeth who's largest reaction is to duck when the player does and to stay out of the player's line of fire(a task she does rather poorly).
My old PS3 busted and I finally got it replaced, so I actually just started playing Bioshock Infinite about two weeks ago. This video was actually really super helpful and I've watched it about six times now because I can't. Stop. LAUGHING. XD You're amazing~

Just found this channel. Fun content that makes me want to play new games and revisit old ones. Watching lots of vids and voting them up, want to see them in my feed
Amy thechubbylittlesatan The necklace comes up at one point when you reunite with Elizabeth and she's wearing the other one. Although one could argue the point of the story was that some things are inevitable
Yeah a slightly different necklace isn't what i was looking for in choice honestly. I do get the story being inevitable but they shoulda avoided putting choices in, cuz it raised my hopes for the next playthrough i wanted to do
the story explained that no matter what happened to them they would always end at a lighthouse showing that even though they have decisions they had a destined fate
The choices in games suppose to have an emotional impact on you rather than feed you with different cutscenes or ending. I'd rather have a consistent linear story than shitty alternative cutscenes.
yeah same. when game devlopers go on about how many different endings they have all i can think is great we'll get like 3/4 mediocre or good endings with a bunch of other ones that are shit or are the same 4 with tiny differences instead of one great story with the same amount of time spent on it as all the different endings had combined
I though infinite was just.. a good game. It could have been an amazing game like the original bioshock, especially with Infinite's introduction. But after getting into the Fink's factory level and introducing the vox, the game began to quickly go down hill. Gameplay began to feel to repetitive as enemies became bullet sponges and though the sky rails were a nice touch, they didnt really do much in the overall gameplay. But prob the problem i have the most with is the fact the immersion of the game and interactions within the city felt limited. With the demos/trailers that were released it seem choice and interaction with the characters was going to be a big selling point. Sadly though most of that was seen only in the earlier half, because, after the vox populi are introduced shit gets crazy fast, and the game goes full out first person shooter.
TheDerek14 Yeah I think this game would have been better as an open world type deal with an emphasis on NPC interaction. I know most people have sandbox fatigue now, but this one could have used less linear shooting and more walking around the city
Infinite is my FAVORITE game in the series. I won’t spoil too much, but the ending is MASTERFUL and the voice performances truly make it emotional. and the SOUNDTRACK....... 1912-ified versions of God Only Knows, Tainted Love, Everybody Wants to Rule The World, and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (which actually have narrative reasoning behind them) PLUS a lyrical song written specifically for the game that perfectly capture its tone and themes??? NOT TO MENTION all of the fun discoverable stuff that really flesh out Columbia and the characters, PLUS the replay value of going back and understanding all the little things that you missed or didn’t get the first time, PLUS the narrative value of the DLC all on its own.......... It’s a really, really good game, you guys.
@SuperButterBuns I know I'm late to watching this video but I just wanted you to know that my fiance and I love watching your videos! We think your hilarious and actually helped me beat the bioshock games! Also would you be interested in doing more of these kinds of videos for beginners?
3 things 1. Thank you for the beginner’s guide. I enjoyed playing this game after watching this video so thanks. 2. Yeah what is up with the lack of parachute. It was around then so I don’t know why. 3. This Game is a history/ Science lesson.
Hellkite That goes for anything really. People are more likely to complain than to praise. Honestly both Bioshock and Infinite are equally good, but different. Whichever you prefer will come down to personal taste: swashbuckling adventure or survival horror? 50s biopunk or prewar steampunk? They both excel at what they are going for (although infinite makes a few sacrifices on the melding of gameplay/story with the presence of vending machines and vigors)
The Bioshock that usually gets hate is Bioshock 2. I agree that it's the worst of the three... that like saying an aged and expertly cooked steak is better than a steak you bought from a grocery store and threw on the grill... it's still a freaking steak! All steaks are good dammit! All Bioshock games are good! Bioshock 2's story wasn't quite as good as the others, but the way your choices in the game come back to haunt you through Eleanor was great and the gameplay was fun.
It's not perfect, and it's not focused on time travel, but more on multiverse, even tho they DO time travel, it's more the idea of different world that is the main focus.
Bioshock infinite has the most mind blowing story.when i played the game and know the plot twist my ming just blown away, especially in the dlc burial at sea eps 1 and 2
The combat also has equipment. You can have up to 4 different armor pieces at a time. There are some that stun, burn, taze and heal. Personally I used the armor that made me a walking taser. (Anytime I melee or overkill, my enemies are electrocuted/deal electric damage to others and stuns for 4 seconds)
I love every Bioshock, but this was my favourite. I liked the combat way more and I found it more challenging. I liked the story so much, probably my favourite. I've heard the theory that the choices you make (which are barley choices)are a statement on the fact that people have no freewill. Yay!
it is not a sequel, BUT if you intend to play the DLC, you'll need to have played at least Bioshock 1 - Bioshock 2 is rather optional as it is more of a different approach to Rapture, compared to Bioshock 1. I honestly felt like 2 was more like "Here's a Pre-Sequel to Bioshock 1 from the View of a Big Daddy - Yay."
I loved Elizabeth and Booker. This was a great game, but the skyhook reminded me why I don't normally play FPS games. That was a LOT of motion sickness.
well just going into this game understanding what a multi-verse is pretty much makes it very easy to understand what is going on during the game but ya still kinda needa connect the dots. all you really need to know is that the story of the game mainly revolves around two major universes, comstock and dewitts. (spoilers ahead) this whole game ends up happening because of dewitt getting baptized and becomes comstock in one universe the only problem is you end up getting drowned at the end which makes no sense because you're playing the dewitt that ended up getting married and having a daughter so drowning this dewitt at baptism wouldn't stop the wheels from turning for the other dewitt that became comstock? so why kill the one that didn't cause any of this craziness to unfold? unless it's to kill... her father to prevent herself from being born... to stop comstock from even being able to take dewitts daughter to use to rule columbia... thus preventing an heir. problem is it wouldn't made more sense to drown the comstock dewitt? then she just ends up living happily ever after with her father thus erasing two timelines from existance and making a new one that doesn't have columbia
The game swems to treat it like the origin of every multiverse is bookers baptism, which is obviously not the first choice that was ever made Theres got to be a universe where comstock is basically exactly the same but doesnt go to the baptism They let infinite comstocks get away, cause infinite bookers in collaterall damage And they couldnt have even done it in the first place because they could never have been born
The one thing I didn't like so much was the regenerating shield. Just turned it into every other FPS that has regen shields. Shield down, hide behind cover until it recharges or take a ton of non-regenerative damage. So naturally I wore the accessories that boosted shields and recharge time.
It's great to watch a video from someone who actually enjoyed infinite. So many people just shit on it for being confusing or whatever but I think it was a really well done game
I thought aiming on the sky hook would be impossible, but you can activate a lock on feature when you aim near an enemy, which makes it pretty viable to shoot from
Carbine & Shotgun are my go to weapons for this game. But I need to give props to the sniper rifle. That thing is godly. Make it a head shot and it's one shot / one kill.
Honestly I didn’t enjoy the gameplay, but I enjoyed the story. To me this game is a better story telling game than a FPS game, I just wish they could make a movie based on this story.
The bioshock series is amazing all the way around. Even the lows are good(aka 2). If I had to rank them, I would choose infinite,1,2. I could easily see why infinite and 1 could be switched but I just enjoyed infinite’s gameplay more fun(I would consider both almost flawless games though so this is a hard choice). Also both plots were full of complete mindfucks that made me enjoy both just that much more.
One thing to note with your explanation, even if you pay attention its confusing because their multiverse mechanic makes no sense. Constants and variables, some things can change, some things always stay the same and Booker and Comstock are constants in the multiverse, yet somehow Elizabeth can get rid of that constant. Also, if its multiverse theory then every possibility exists, so Elizabeth should never be able to get rid of Comstock from the multiverse because there will still be a universe where he exists, as well as a universe where Booker declines killing himself to achieve this, or will Elizabeth changes her mind about it. The story is so confusing it confused the devs.
The thing I love about Elisabeth is that she can comfortable be a lock picking ammo throwing bad ass as much as she can be a bubbly teenage girl, I’d be proud to have a daughter like that
When I got the Collection, I went with Sniper and Hand Cannon in my playthrough, worked against everything, it's how I got the 1999 mode trophies before I got the platinum, did an easy run first to get all the other trophies and to get used to the combat, then 1999 run with sniper and hand cannon, never had to worry about ammo because 1 or 2 bullets was all that was needed to kill most enemies and by the time I did run out of ammo, elizabeth would give me a full reload, it was easy
Buns i feel like you’re a 90s kid too so did you know Elizabeth is played by Courtney Draper? She was on the Disney channel original show the Jersey as Morgan. Freaking amazing 😂😂
I loved this game... My FIRST play through. The second time I play it i was just sitting the like "uh ma gawd just let me get through!" I don't like the upgrading system for this game. Money for upgrades?! Plus you have a weapon while, but it's only to see how much ammo you've got. I wanna have my own weapons. Why do I only get 2! That's one reason I liked burial at sea ep.2 so much
The first time I played this game, I couldn't stop giggling like an idiot when I found beans in a cash register. Nonetheless, Infinite is pretty sweet and I love going wild on the enemies with the skyhook and the shotgun
Is Elizabeth a Disney princess? He's trapped tower, she sing out no where, is kidnapped by a mad villain, has powers, story fallows a male protagonist but she does most other work ie: Walking through dimensions when you fudge up.
Tips from me as well fly and shoot when yuo can and get good at a aiming on the rails and use Batman take down whenever you can PS get the fastest firing gun or the most damaging and sneaking is okay in this game don't rely on though
been playn games w my roomates grandson cuz the couple i rent a room from are kinda beyond games an little dude gets to play on xbox when he comes over so he loves it. but he loves shootn characters we need an i try an tell him what your sayn be cool an you'll get the game on yur side bro
The ending was kinda disappointing but didn't ruin the fun of the game, I found I just rotated between the hand-cannon, the sniper rifle and the shotgun, I liked the possession plasmid with the upgrade that makes enemies commit suicide when it it wares out but I would gladly give it up to bring back hacking, I liked the murder of crows, i'm ok with it replacing bees, and I liked Return to Sender I just wish I could get is sooner, sense its like the last plasmid you get 3/4 into the game. I liked snapping peoples necks with the sky hook just to get Elisabeth to gasp in disgust because by the end of the two DLCs even though the game play was fun I sorta hated Elizabeth by the end of it. otherwise 10/10 would ask not where but when again.
You forgot to mention about that horrible Siren boss. I mean seriously, I maybe can handle the zombies getting revived once. But no, it had to infinitely revive for the zombies. The game itself doesn't even tell you you had to shock and kill the zombies to stop them from Reviving. Seriously that boss is so annoying ):
@Teamgeist Lady Comstock of course, and honestly the boy is not as bad because of the fact the only summons a bunch of angry people with sticks that can be permanently killed without the shock. But yeah Lady Comstock an awful boss because of the fact you're dealing with a bunch of enemies that constantly revive that has ranged weapons and doesn't help that they're pretty damn accurate with it especially Booker DeWitt it's not a fast runner and Elizabeth never ever picks up a goddamn gun in gameplay until a DLC so yeah really sucks. Honestly the Vigors would be a lot more tolerable if the salt can regenerate since having the sequel problem of thanking removing is better by removing carryable healing items like seriously no actual trade-off it's just hopefully you find salt have fun also RNGsus hope Elizabeth forks over a salt restoring item. Yeah the comment I made 6 years ago I was 18 that time (-:

well just going into this game understanding what a multi-verse is pretty much makes it very easy to understand what is going on during the game but ya still kinda needa connect the dots.
all you really need to know is that the story of the game mainly revolves around two major universes, comstock and dewitts.
(spoilers ahead)
this whole game ends up happening because of dewitt getting baptized and becomes comstock in one universe the only problem is you end up getting drowned at the end which makes no sense because you're playing the dewitt that ended up getting married and having a daughter so drowning this dewitt at baptism wouldn't stop the wheels from turning for the other dewitt that became comstock? so why kill the one that didn't cause any of this craziness to unfold? unless it's to kill... her father to prevent herself from being born... to stop comstock from even being able to take dewitts daughter to use to rule columbia... thus preventing an heir.
problem is it wouldn't made more sense to drown the comstock dewitt? then she just ends up living happily ever after with her father thus erasing two timelines from existance and making a new one that doesn't have columbia
The game swems to treat it like the origin of every multiverse is bookers baptism, which is obviously not the first choice that was ever made
Theres got to be a universe where comstock is basically exactly the same but doesnt go to the baptism
They let infinite comstocks get away, cause infinite bookers in collaterall damage
And they couldnt have even done it in the first place because they could never have been born
Love the content. Any chance you have any videos for the Borderlands series?
The one thing I didn't like so much was the regenerating shield. Just turned it into every other FPS that has regen shields.
Shield down, hide behind cover until it recharges or take a ton of non-regenerative damage. So naturally I wore the accessories that boosted shields and recharge time.
... Have you played any shooter from the past 10 years?
Medkits are only seen in retro-throwbacks now.
Just realized her left pinke is missing after playing the game non-stop
Love your beginner videos. Funny and informative. Grats
It's great to watch a video from someone who actually enjoyed infinite. So many people just shit on it for being confusing or whatever but I think it was a really well done game
I thought aiming on the sky hook would be impossible, but you can activate a lock on feature when you aim near an enemy, which makes it pretty viable to shoot from
I finished this game, but just watching it for fun.
Carbine & Shotgun are my go to weapons for this game. But I need to give props to the sniper rifle. That thing is godly. Make it a head shot and it's one shot / one kill.
That one jumpscare in which the guy is right behind you...
One of the best stories I've experienced in a game and by far the best Bioshock game
You made my day!
It's on the Switch now and the graphics have been revamped and it has all the DLC for free so get it ya nerds!
really good video plus really good channel
Super old vid but can we have more of these? I adore watching these
One thing to note with your explanation, even if you pay attention its confusing because their multiverse mechanic makes no sense.
I just picked this game up for Switch. Thanks for this. Now... If only I could get Nier Automata for this console...
It's funny, I had just finished Zero Escspe: Virtues' Last Reward before I played this game. So the ending was kinda familiar 😂😂
Rifle and shotgun were my go-to weapons too.
JAYDOG1337A were you no scoping while using the sniper ?
I laughed so hard at the make out with the disc damn it
Buns i feel like you’re a 90s kid too so did you know Elizabeth is played by Courtney Draper?
Are you going to do a Kingdom Hearts 3 for beginners if so please use that SpongeBob clip again with your voice on it
Thank you for a good guide
Me: shit, I’m out of salts.
Elizabeth every 10 seconds: CATCH!
Me: God, I love this girl.
Awesome video super butter buns😁
i never forgot about my sky hook melee attack
Is Elizabeth a Disney princess? He's trapped tower, she sing out no where, is kidnapped by a mad villain, has powers, story fallows a male protagonist but she does most other work ie: Walking through dimensions when you fudge up.
So this was SuperButterBuns's forst "for beginners" video to have the little meme opening thing.
I love this game!
missed opportunity for the "i don't need it... i don't need it... i don't need it... I NEED IT!!!" clip.
Tips from me as well fly and shoot when yuo can and get good at a aiming on the rails and use Batman take down whenever you can PS get the fastest firing gun or the most damaging and sneaking is okay in this game don't rely on though
Old Buns sounds really sad like wow XD
I dont get why the huds is so small in the game
I don't really use plasmids unless I have to. I only stick to the sniper rifle and the pistol.
been playn games w my roomates grandson cuz the couple i rent a room from are kinda beyond games an little dude gets to play on xbox when he comes over so he loves it. but he loves shootn characters we need an i try an tell him what your sayn be cool an you'll get the game on yur side bro
HOORAY BANANAZAP INFOMERCIAL!!!
I played this game and that part with the train pissed me off😂
Forget about it? I played the entire game with just the sky hook except for handymans
Top class review
can you make a video on Burial at Sea
Where does Elizabeth get all those coins from? Hooking, she hooks on the side.
I used the revolver for medium and long distance and shotgun for short distance
Awesome!!!
I went with the hand canon and sniper rifle
