I love the idea of a game developer getting so upset about people getting the hardest achievement in their game that they actively create a new one just to send as many people into a full mental breakdown as possible purely out of spite
Levine made this impossible because it was part of a contest for the player to be included in the DLC. For anyone who didn't know, the first couple people who completed it, would be shown in the actual storyline DLC. Their names can be shown in Burial at sea part 1 in the nursery section.
Once, the enemies on a gunship didn't come down when the gunship left. They stayed there while I looked everywhere like crazy. So yeah, infuriatimg af!

I remember finishing this achievement around last year on Jan 4th, and that shit took forever, my entire Winter break. I watched a lot of tutorials and forums for solutions, which helped immensely. What a fucked up achievement. Glad you finally got it!

@@patrickengland3076 Message me if you get stuck! There are some excellent guides on here but there are a few tricks they gloss over. For example the hazard kills only wave in Emporia is bugged. You can possess every enemy and still get the blue ribbon. Good luck!

This achievement is still one of my proudest gaming moments, this was incredibly rough but seeing that trophy was such a relief. This and Ultra Nightmare on Doom Eternal will always be my greatest achievements.

Shortly after this was released, they laid off 90% of their team and restructured. They switched to work on smaller indie style games. They still haven't released anything though.
From what I understand the game wasn't well received when it came out but I could definitely be wrong about that. I love it and don't understand why anyone would really hate it but I've been seeing a lot of people shit on it or say they don't like it. Honestly tho kinda glad they didn't keep going eventually it'd have become a cash grab title like cod and I don't think anyone wants that lol
I actually accidentally discovered the "hide the bodies from the Siren" trick because I just started firing rockets and volley gun grenades at her from above and it tossed them off the map.
For the siren challenge, I used the vox volley gun (forgot the name), two full mags were enough to take down the siren before she could do anything! Really strong :)
This took me months to complete. The blue ribbon in the last area where you have to kill two Handymen only with shots to the heart was the most difficult thing i've ever done, but when I finally did it, I felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction.😌
Probably because the main director is making his own thing, Judas. It's worth checking out, it looks like Bioshock in space. We also have Atomic Heart next month, which is Bioshock mixed with Doom and in Russia
You've got my respect for putting yourself through this. I only have a handful of games I've done 100%. I *really* need to enjoy them to have the patience to do it.
Holy crap I forgot about these challenges. I think I was actually able to repress the memory of doing them. Though it has been about five and half years since I did them so I'm sure time is apart of that forgetfulness. Solid completion and even better video.
Great video bro, you are literally my favorite youtuber!, also quick tip for that map 2 wave 13 (5 enemies with one devils kiss blast), you use the charge vigor as soon as the wave starts to get on top of that portico where all of the enemies are and then immediately do devils kiss and it only takes a few tries at most, I know its a bit late, sorry lol (Tip for map 2 wave 13 makes it super easy)
As part of .33% of players to complete this on the original version, and the .29 percent who did it on the Complete Edition (I wonder how many of us did it on both), I can attest to how frustrating it can be.

that enemy screaming at 19:40 reminds me of a silly thing that can happen on an old game called "Hexen": if you play as the "priest" character and use his poison gas item against a "centaur" enemy, it will scream in a similar fashion. oh, that enemy type has a shield that can block your attacks, BUT, it will always try to BLOCK the gas instead of moving away! I once killed EIGHT of them with ONE gas bomb!
For the "kill 5 enemies with devil's kiss", if you start the run and charge someone immeditely at the top before anyone aggros that'll keep both melee guys there, or else they'll jump, which then makes you in a closed space with all 7 enemies, one bomb and 6 go down right away, finish off the volley soldier and you're done in less than 30 seconds, a lot of ribbons get so much easier when you do the "puzzle" right, others like killing them while distracted by a decoy are really the most annoying
Thank You for letting me know how to finish some of these Blue Ribbons. I only have a few left and it's been that way for nearly a decade. I think I'll go back in now and finish.
Managed to complete this achievement during lunch shifts on a dinky old laptop. It took me 2 years. The reason why I put up with the torture was because I made the vow to complete that achievement before I could open Burial at Sea. I still have flashbacks of the challenge of getting all of those enemies in one fire explosion....
When this DLC originally dropped there was actually a sweepstakes for getting it unlocked by a certain date. I was so proud of myself for getting it done! Ooo boy, do I remember trying to group up those 5 enemies to kill at once with the fire. I didn't win the sweepstakes, but seeing that room with all those ribbons was pretty rewarding!
The blue ribbon challenge trophy popped for when I still had like half the blue ribbons left to get. I had 2 trophies left to get which were all blue ribbon challenges and complete burial at sea part 2 on 1999 difficulty. After I finished burial at sea part 2 on 1999 it gave me both of these trophies strangely giving me 100% trophies on the whole game. Saved me a whole hell lot of stress and time someone was watching over me that day 😂
I played BioShock Infinite last year for the first time (Im going to replay it soon btw) and after finishing it I played BAS 1&2, then I decided to play clash in the clouds to have some fun and all. As soon as I got to the 8th ribbon, my body just told me I had to stop before it was too late. And thank god I did

They could have made this challenge so much worse by making it so that you have to re-earn all blue medals. Basically making it so you have to get all blue medals in the same run for it to count.
I knew exactly what achievement this was about when I saw the video title. 😅 Back when I was chatting almost daily with Irrational's community manager, I grinded this challenge to enter a contest they were hosting. Sadly someone ELSE who grinded the same achievement won it, right before me! I'll never live that one down 😢
I got this achievement in December of 2016 and haven't played the game since then. When you mentioned the pentakill with Devil's Kiss... oh god the flashbacks make it stop no please no not again
It's actually pretty achievable (the blue ribbon achievement) but it does certainly take more than ten hours to complete. I completed it recently and it took more than fourteen hours.

I am gonna love this when I get back around to Bioshock. The most tedious completion I have found as of late is getting through The Last Of Us multiplayer to complete both the Firefly and Hunter journeys, respectively. 168 multiplayer matches, each last about 10-20 minutes each...most tedious thing in gaming that I have done recently
Last multiplayer grind I had to do was getting to 8th prestige in DOOM 2016 for the armor I needed so I know the struggle haha. Congrats on completing it man!
I was really happy that the trophy unlocked earlier for me because I needed one more ribbon on the last map in like wave 7 that drove me insane. This trophy was just not worth it.

The only thing I’ve ever intensely achievement hunted for has been Guitar Hero 3- and I don’t even have a guitar to play with! Just got this one today so its perfect timing that your video popped up Map 4 wave 13. That one was the toughest for me. Kill the enemies with the weapon they are wielding.
Something about this reminds me of the Dishonored Dunwall Trials DLC achievements. Would LOVE to see you take those on at some point, they’re some of the hardest I’ve ever gotten

I just had 2 weeks off work and I took the time to play through BioShock 2 and infinite and infinite Dlc (for the first time). These games are freaking masterpieces.
I watched Straydog do this game to (you too are really similar by the way) I hate achievements that take so long just to practice the part you need to complete. It’s why Iron Man modes are so painful.
I completed all 3 bioshocks this past year. 1 and 2 were tons of fun and don’t regret it at all. Infinite isn’t a great game to me and these blue ribbon challenges were such a pain to get through. Biggest advice is just play through every level of the blue ribbon challenges till you get fully upgrade then get the ribbons you missed along the way.
I 100 percent this game too, it was rough but honestly it wasn't as bad as the 100 percent for the first Dishonored, in my opinion. The utter amount of times it took me to get the infamous achievement for the Dishonored platform challenge was insane. The reason it was so difficult was because not only did you need to perfectly execute every jump, but you needed a RNG perfect setup, that was totally out of your control, of the landing spots that changed with every attempt. If you don't get the RNG perfect setup, it's near impossible to do. So, one of the worst feelings was realizing you got the perfect setup and failing it. That meant you had to keep trying to get the perfect setup again at random and the only way to tell if you got it was replaying through most of the challenge ☠️! The rage was real to say the least. Although, one completed, the serotonin release was epic.
I've played both Xbox and Playstation, but one thing I love about Playstation is the platinum trophy, while it's not 100%, it's nice to see something for a base game completion
for the "kill 5 with fire blast" one maybe I was just incredibly lucky but I lobbed the fireball up on the balcony while they were still all 5 standing there and somehow managed it first or second try (I aimed for the railing, not a curved high shot)
I got this achievement... twice. I hated every second of it both times, but I had a mission to 100% the original and the remastered because this is my favorite game. Please don't make me have to get that achievement again 2k. Please.

Back when I was chatting almost daily with Irrational's community manager, I grinded this challenge to enter a contest they were hosting. Sadly someone ELSE who grinded the same achievement won it, right before me! I'll never live that one down 😢
I got this achievement in December of 2016 and haven't played the game since then.

It's actually pretty achievable (the blue ribbon achievement) but it does certainly take more than ten hours to complete. I completed it recently and it took more than fourteen hours.
Those no-loot challenges are the real buzz kill. Especially for a gamer who a habitual and pathological loot goblin.

I am gonna love this when I get back around to Bioshock. The most tedious completion I have found as of late is getting through The Last Of Us multiplayer to complete both the Firefly and Hunter journeys, respectively. 168 multiplayer matches, each last about 10-20 minutes each...most tedious thing in gaming that I have done recently
Last multiplayer grind I had to do was getting to 8th prestige in DOOM 2016 for the armor I needed so I know the struggle haha. Congrats on completing it man!
I was really happy that the trophy unlocked earlier for me because I needed one more ribbon on the last map in like wave 7 that drove me insane. This trophy was just not worth it.
Love your videos. Finished that achievement in a few days. Got to be smart of how to use ammo, switching guns, and using your melee if you got the chance before getting badly damaged

I just binged all of your videos (except for the hollow knight one because I haven’t yet finished the game)- I’m loving your stuff! Definitely has me wanting to beat some of these achievements (possibly the Resi 2 one?). The only thing I’ve ever intensely achievement hunted for has been Guitar Hero 3- and I don’t even have a guitar to play with!

Map 4 wave 13. That one was the toughest for me. Kill the enemies with the weapon they are wielding.
Something about this reminds me of the Dishonored Dunwall Trials DLC achievements. Would LOVE to see you take those on at some point, they’re some of the hardest I’ve ever gotten

I just had 2 weeks off work and I took the time to play through BioShock 2 and infinite and infinite Dlc (for the first time). These games are freaking masterpieces.
Makes my scavenger hunt on 1999 look like a walk in the park!

I watched Straydog do this game to (you too are really similar by the way) I hate achievements that take so long just to practice the part you need to complete. It’s why Iron Man modes are so painful.

I completed all 3 bioshocks this past year. 1 and 2 were tons of fun and don’t regret it at all. Infinite isn’t a great game to me and these blue ribbon challenges were such a pain to get through. Biggest advice is just play through every level of the blue ribbon challenges till you get fully upgrade then get the ribbons you missed along the way.
I do remember this one. It's very very testing, but ironnically there is a corner strat.
I did this achievements many years ago. Definitely one of my most prestigous achievements even though I used a lot of guides.
I 100 percent this game too, it was rough but honestly it wasn't as bad as the 100 percent for the first Dishonored, in my opinion. The utter amount of times it took me to get the infamous achievement for the Dishonored platform challenge was insane.
The reason it was so difficult was because not only did you need to perfectly execute every jump, but you needed a RNG perfect setup, that was totally out of your control, of the landing spots that changed with every attempt.
If you don't get the RNG perfect setup, it's near impossible to do. So, one of the worst feelings was realizing you got the perfect setup and failing it. That meant you had to keep trying to get the perfect setup again at random and the only way to tell if you got it was replaying through most of the challenge ☠️!
The rage was real to say the least. Although, one completed, the serotonin release was epic.
Hardest part of my 1999 playthrough was the witch, after that the rest was a breeze. These ribbons though, they scare me.

I've played both Xbox and Playstation, but one thing I love about Playstation is the platinum trophy, while it's not 100%, it's nice to see something for a base game completion
for the "kill 5 with fire blast" one maybe I was just incredibly lucky but I lobbed the fireball up on the balcony while they were still all 5 standing there and somehow managed it first or second try (I aimed for the railing, not a curved high shot)
Got this on Xbox 360 years ago and did it again on the Xbox one. Love this game, my favourite Bioshock.
I got this achievement... twice. I hated every second of it both times, but I had a mission to 100% the original and the remastered because this is my favorite game. Please don't make me have to get that achievement again 2k. Please.
