I started a new viddogame-based exercise routine 2 weeks ago. Do 10 squats, push ups, or sit ups for every death, do all three when you start a boss. Just got this game free from ps+ monthly giveaway. Pray for me.
Ludwig's holy blade does get downright unhealthy when it comes to damage. Although you can definitely out do it in terms of actual damage (45 Arcane and a fire cleaver will one shot late game beasts), due to the stats menu being extremely inaccurate at calculating damage
I started off with the threaded cane. It may not be a good beginner weapon due to the low damage output (not my first Souls game anyways), but holy balls does it scale nicely if you have a skill build. I love that ultra swag cane so much. Most enemies don't know how to handle the range of whip form, and the cane form is fast enough for rapid combos (and does good stabby damage that some bosses don't like).
+Raggedstar Lol, building skill with just the threaded cane felt like cheating it was so good. It took me through most of the game until I got the Blades of Mercy, which are on another level.

The threaded cane is a beast if you are confident in your ability to dodge. Fast long-ranged attacks with good crowd control, just don't rely on getting your health back with this thing. The rally damage is its weak point big time
The rally is shit and the attack speed in whip form isnt good. Also the damage isnt competitive at later levels. But god damn is that range game breaking

In my opinion, as far as the starting weapons, the hunter axe should absolutely be your choice for any strength based character. For a skill character, the threaded cane has an excellent moveset for most stuations. The saw cleaver is just a weird middle ground sort of weapon. For late game, the best strength weapon is probably ludwigs holy blade, and the best skill weapon is absolutely the rakuyo.
A tip for new-ish players: Once you beat the blood-starved beast and get the pthumeru chalice, you can use a... certain interesting glyph (cummmfpk) to get easy echoes. If I remember correctly it's commonly agreed that you shouldn't use these echoes for levels, but it's fine to use them to buy a load of blood vials and bullets and other consumables so you don't have to farm them. Just go in, move a little through the arch to the statue on your left, look towards the statue, and you'll see something dying in the distance. When it dies you'll get ~83,000 echoes. Just use a bold hunter's mark to reset to the lantern and you can do this run every 25-30 seconds. But again, don't use this for levels, use it for consumables so you don't have to farm.
@@axeldrane you obviously **can** use them for levels, but it's generally looked down upon to do it. It gives you such a ridiculously large amount of blood echoes at such an early point in the game that it completely throws the intended balance and progression of the game out of the window, making the game a complete piece of cake. I especially would recommend against using it for levels in a normal or first ever playthrough, but I'll admit I've used it for levels if I'm testing a build or just want to blast through the game in a couple hours.
I feel like the Saw Clever is probably going to be the weapon of choice most new players will gravitate to. It helps that it has the best middle-ground starting point out of the three weapons. In its default mode the Saw Clever is fast and allows the player to get in some good swipes while conserving some stamina for dodging while it's "trick mode" gives it nearly the same range as the Hunter's Axe while doing some decent damage at the cost of stamina and timing. Also, it's the weapon that the Hunter in all of the promotional material uses so it doubles down on the chance the player will go with that weapon. I know it's still my weapon of choice... five playthroughs in. Though I got to give love to the Burial Ax, goddamn does it do its job at crowd control in NG+.
Extended cleaver has no where near the range of the extended axe, especially considering the combo starts with an overhead swing instead of a horizontal one like the axe. Also threaded cane has shit damage after the early game, but damn does it have RANGE. You can hit through so many obstacles in whip form it is practically game breaking
I've seen the For Experts so many times, and because there are 3 parts to For Experts, I somehow confused it with For Beginners... ...which made me realize that I actually haven't seen the For Beginners of Bloodborne until now!
FlickeringPanic well I don't usually play hard games either but back when this came out one of my friends at work kept telling me how great it was, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it is.
The game is quite fun, but I actually expected it to be a lot harder. As a first time souls game player the only bosses I needed more than 2 tries were the first two
I have done crazy amount of research and have beaten the game repeatedly to get all achievements which took forever 😑 but besides that the beginners guide for this amazing game was on point so keep up with the great work and BLOODBORNE 2 COMING THIS DECEMBER CAN'T WAIT!!!!
Hey, I know I’m a little late to the bloodbath, but I just started playing and found this tip/review really helpful and HILARIOUS. This game is pure madness AND addictive. Dangerous combo. No idea where I’m going, or what I’m doing, but it’s fun.
I just got it a few days ago and I wanna slam my head into a a steel wall, this game is Satan but I can't help but love it. This is truly an abusive relationship
That reaction at 03:38 is classic. Veterans be like: "First time?" Whereas I will die in ds2, when Vendrick has that much health left, after my dumbass forgot to gather any of the 5 giant souls. And my reaction will be a lot angrier.
Blade of mercy is a nice upgrade from the cane, the cane's individual hits do more damage, but the blade of mercy gets a damage bonus while dodging making it great at fighting the beast bosses since you gotta follow the golden rule of smack dat booty.
A wee tip if anyone is still new to this game, go to the forest of the Sneeple (snake people) and kill as many of the sniles (snake piles) as humanly possible. They drop *so* *MANY* *BLOODSTONE* *SHARDS* They mostly drop twin shards and singles, but it is so worth it if you need em!
I've played through all of BloodBornes base game and know the lore like the back of my hand, but this is still fun as all hell to watch and helped me with bettering my play.
Miss Buns! This video has really helped me when Bloodborne became a free Plus game. In the beginning when I ragequitted, I watched this to calm my nerves and go for it again. As well all the helpful tips that I kept in mind. I truly enjoyed the Blood Vials montage. Can I know where the song is from? I always imagine it when I am grinding. Lol and in all honesty, you helped me brave Bloodborne's world. I am a wuss, like no other. Your comedy and awesome editing has made it less scary(even though I still poop my pants at times). I was able to beat the game, well, at least the third ending. I grinded a lot by helping others, I was way overleveled. I did good jolly cooperation! You were part of my journey. Thankful for this wonderful video. ❤
As a decent BB player that's on NG+2, I watched this, not really needing it, so I watched it for fun. The way you presented this shit was pretty humorous. My favorite part was the "Whoosh whoosh" about the dodging.
Hey so... anybody have advice on fighting hunters? Because watching my brother try to fight any hunter encounter is like watching an Olympic hero trying to scale a cliff made of cacti.
fearanger1 try to stun lock them and avoid being stun locked. They have all the same weaknesses and strengths as you. The gun is actually pretty useful as it doesn't consume stamina. when you're about to run out of stamina (but don't actually run out) you can always fire the gun to keep the dps up and chances are you might actually get a parry off But the 2 most important things are stamina management and spacing. You need to know your weapons moveset to get these 2 things down.

I was a Saw Cleaver guy, but I really loved the Blades of Mercy when I actually finally got them.
Also, you're hella funny, so good job.
but everything changed when the pizza cutter attacked!
Conner Boyd personally i loved the tonitrus
I’ve beaten this game plus the DLC so many times and yet I always find myself rewatching this video!
I've played this game for a long long time and just now realized the vials get transferred to your storage when you get more than 20.
where did you think the vials were coming from after death to put you back at 20...?
@HicksZ34 did you die?
I already beat the game for the first time yesterday, I don’t need tips, I just like Bloodborne videos lol, and yours are great
i find the saw cleaver to be among the very best. i also like the burial blade, since its range is so deseptive and has such good rally potential.
I've seen the For Experts so many times, and because there are 3 parts to For Experts, I somehow confused it with For Beginners...
...which made me realize that I actually haven't seen the For Beginners of Bloodborne until now!
2019 and I finally got the Platinum. I used the Hunter Axe for probably 99% of the game...
"At the skeleton party fountain store. . " LOL Your voice is the best part of this feast of wisdom
You vids are always amazing!
+Sexually Active Narwhal thank you! your user name.....makes me happier than it should though #keepItactive
+SuperButterBuns At least some of us are... at least some of us ;_;
Hearing Buns talking down the guns makes me laugh after watching KT make a gun build and made her eat her words
Hoping this means there'll be a Dark Souls 3 for beginners sometime in the (hopefully) near future?
+Nickolas Marchuk Beat the game last night! Hopefully it should be out in about 3ish weeks
SuperButterBuns Sick deal
+SuperButterBuns still waitin
Uncle Ian it's out
Max McGlaughlin That's a pretty old comment mate
"Try not to kill something unless it's obvious it wants to kill you first"
The game requires you to do exactly that in Byrgenwrth. :(
As someone who is super into Lovecraft, I perked up when you said "Old Ones".
If you don't know what to choose just go with the cover weapons. Saw cleaver and blunderbuss
This has been the most entertaining video I've watched in awhile! I can only hope #Bloodborne 2 makes its debut at E3 2016! Please Sony make us happy!
Gehrialash nope the soulsbourne are done but not the copy of it like nioh and lord of the fallen and let it die
OSA Gaming no they said dark souls is done. They never said that about bloodborne
SkyZgone oh yeah I forgot
EDIT: I thought it’s the same universe I forgot
Shadows die twice. Im gonna say Tenchu...or Chaozu? Or something "ou" -ey
GamrInsanity I would like it on Xbox. If it is their next game it’s going to have a shadow theme.
I have finally gotten into Bloodborne and this helped my dinky self so much, thank you Buns.
I liked the video before watching because i already know it will be good
So glad this is a PS Plus game this month, I'll finally get to give it a go come Tuesday.
MrEffectfilms hah same here I dont usually play games on hard mode or do anything past normal so hopefully i dont get too hammered in
FlickeringPanic well I don't usually play hard games either but back when this came out one of my friends at work kept telling me how great it was, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it is.
Likewise. Happy Tuesday.
timothy mckean ha same to you already downloaded
The game is quite fun, but I actually expected it to be a lot harder.
As a first time souls game player the only bosses I needed more than 2 tries were the first two
I watch the video and think “ooo this looks fun!” And a few moths later, I have the platinum trophy.
Holy shit you deserve so many more subs. I love the comedy. Binging watching your vids atm, and can't get enough
"You need this key, to open this gate....there, I just saved you five hours"...haha, priceless.
Butterbuns, I absolutely LOVE your commentary! New to your channel and have had great laughs! You're awesome!!!
Leavenotrace 45 wait yall serious? This december?
Thog The Conqueror of All Yeah
Leavenotrace 45 Yes!! I can’t wait!!
Congratulations you just made another fun video thanx for the info .
It's 2019 now and this video is still entertaining all these years later so great job buns :)
Spent hours on this game and still watching this video
For the Chalice Dungeons, try all of Zullie The Witch's chalices for being op early and getting op gems early
Say what now? My guy I'm gonna need a link.

It wasn't zullie but this is what I used to get OP fast
Hey, I know I’m a little late to the bloodbath, but I just started playing and found this tip/review really helpful and HILARIOUS. This game is pure madness AND addictive. Dangerous combo. No idea where I’m going, or what I’m doing, but it’s fun.
I just got it a few days ago and I wanna slam my head into a a steel wall, this game is Satan but I can't help but love it. This is truly an abusive relationship
I've platinumed the damn game and I'm watching this
That reaction at 03:38 is classic. Veterans be like: "First time?"
Whereas I will die in ds2, when Vendrick has that much health left, after my dumbass forgot to gather any of the 5 giant souls. And my reaction will be a lot angrier.
Just started playing this game
I just got the Platinum Trophy for this game. Screw those dungeons. Loved the game.
5:47 “know when you’re locked on you’ll be able to swish swish and when you’re not locked on you’ll be able to rolley polley olley” 😂
I like the saw cleaver.
#SawCleaverLyfe
the cane all day
Jason Wayne Gotta style all over your opponents
Blade of mercy is a nice upgrade from the cane, the cane's individual hits do more damage, but the blade of mercy gets a damage bonus while dodging making it great at fighting the beast bosses since you gotta follow the golden rule of smack dat booty.
but the cane makes me look cool even though i'm not!
The blade of mercy reminds me of the blue spirit from avatar the last air bender.
Superior editing skills and a wicked-silly sense of humor earns my subscription :D
A wee tip if anyone is still new to this game, go to the forest of the Sneeple (snake people) and kill as many of the sniles (snake piles) as humanly possible. They drop *so* *MANY* *BLOODSTONE* *SHARDS*
They mostly drop twin shards and singles, but it is so worth it if you need em!
I've played through all of BloodBornes base game and know the lore like the back of my hand, but this is still fun as all hell to watch and helped me with bettering my play.
2:06 it's good ol meat flap
I still love watching this over and over
If anyone wants to know what buns sounds like while drunk just watch her warning at the start of this video at 0.25 speed
I have just found this channel and have watched 6 of your videos absolutely loving these ❤️
I have no intention of playing this game, but who cares!? I'm in this for the BUNS! ;D
+KawaiiVictini1 play it ya casual
RRM25100 best girl

Just started Bloodborne and boy now I see what all the hype is about those Souls games are no joke !
KawaiiVictini1 it’s free on ps+ right now btw
Gobbling this content like it’s cheat day. Wheeeee!
Whip all day b, that shit works wonders when they attack you with a full squad..
This game is evil
Honestly this game is my aesthetic and clothing style in a nutshell lmao
12:14 I'm dead, she got care away
I can't even begin. I was smiling this whole video. this was perfection.
My favorite weapon is the burial blade. Ya know, the weapon you get at the very end of the game?
Fk my life.
01:22 we clicked on the Video because we like you, your humor and your work... 😀
"Dont expect clear motives for the crap ur doin"
...life in general?
This comment is way too accurate
As a decent BB player that's on NG+2, I watched this, not really needing it, so I watched it for fun. The way you presented this shit was pretty humorous. My favorite part was the "Whoosh whoosh" about the dodging.
Hey so... anybody have advice on fighting hunters? Because watching my brother try to fight any hunter encounter is like watching an Olympic hero trying to scale a cliff made of cacti.
fearanger1 try to stun lock them and avoid being stun locked. They have all the same weaknesses and strengths as you.
The gun is actually pretty useful as it doesn't consume stamina. when you're about to run out of stamina (but don't actually run out) you can always fire the gun to keep the dps up and chances are you might actually get a parry off
But the 2 most important things are stamina management and spacing. You need to know your weapons moveset to get these 2 things down.
Aitor Jimenez Very appreciated, thanks.
I recommend stun locking them until you have just enough stamina to get out of there and repeat that
Woah giiirl - that Sims 1 music hit me like a train!
