I don't know why you harp on the fact that you ocassionally have to go back to a planet you have already been on. It's not something that you have to do all the time in ratchet and clank and almost every planet has a few distinct paths to take, and there's a map indicating where to go. It's not bothersome backtracking. And also gold bolts aren't just "side crap" they can be used to upgrade every single weapon in the game
I was just thinking that. Gold bolts were used to buy the golden weapons and they were awesome. It hurt me to listen to her saying they are absolutely useless.
My advice for the first game is get the agents of doom no matter what get them and then get the gold variant and just sit back relax and watch your little minions of boom kill everything
Correction: You have to buy either the devastator or the visibomb to get to the end. The space station where you get the last ship has towers that lock you out until you destroy them, which can only be done with one of these two weapons (or I guess the RYNO, if you have that).
6:15: Or use a glitch to enter the overboard circuit without doing the race, and use the Provoc Gun to destroy crates in that will repop if you don't look at them :'D ... Take a lot of hour, but, if you block the button and took the good position, it's just waiting a day, doing other stuff 8D
I remember as a kid i spent hours grinding enemies for bolts to get the RYNO but i kept running out of ammo so i went back and spent those bolts on that ammo i needed. I never got the RYNO...
Man I really like your energy. I love the "you won't get hit if you git gud" too many people are calling that "toxic" now and it isn't, it reminds me of split screen ps2 days.
I love this series. Original is much better than remake on ps4. The story is funny and talk about real friendship and the ending when clank go alone with broken arm..... Is touching.
Actually, you can upgrade your weapons in the first playthrough. After you beat quark at the space station, theres a tower that you can wall jump onto, then take an elevator to get some gold weapons. Not all of them though...sorry.
Did you just say the gold bolts are useless? I thought that was just a joke, but I feel like you completely overlooked the existence of the gold weapons. On the Gemlik Base, and Novalis(Challenge Mode only) you can find a room with gold weapons which will cost you gold bolts and a fee or regular bolts. Great incentive for completion
In Ratchet & Clank you play Ratchet, a young, feisty...whatever. Who hooks up with a reject robot with a heart named Clank. Like a team, they work in tandem against the evil Supreme Executive Chairman Drek. Extended Play, 2001
I remember having ratchet and clank 1 on my 8th birthday and was from my dad. I've played on a chunky PS2 console (not the slim PS2 yet) and it was awesome that I had all of the ratchet and clank games for the PS2.
@@AlryFireBlade What's so good about it? The crappy weapons? The lack of interesting characters? The lazy plot? The Out of character characters(Ratchet is a jerk in that game)? The ugly graphics? The bland villain?
Of course it's one of the (if not the) weakest of the entire series, I mean you're comparing a PSP R&C game with the superior, more wholesome PS2/3 games. I believe Size matters is considered more of a spin-off. Doesn't mean you can't appreciate it at least a little anyway. And if people already consider Size matters to be the worst of the whole series, in that case I personally really don't wanna play Secret Agent Clank then, cause this one looks boring as heck.
I hate the new one. They try to make ratchet such a Mary Sue instead of jerk with a good heart. It holds ur hand to damn much and isnt better than original in any way I recommend skipping ratchet and clank 2016

Wow this video is awesome xD. Though I'm not a beginner at the game, I still really enjoyed this video a lot. One request: Please do a For Beginners for the other games too :D
You can actually get golden weapons in the level that you fight Qwark without going to challenge mode. I don't remember the specifics but there is a teleporter to the golden weapon room around a tower right before or right after you fight Qwark,i remember finding that on my own before i knew how to use the internet and i felt like some Genius.
Wait... but... the gold bolts do serve a purpose: You can get golden versions of the weapons you have, which are just a direct upgrade, and end up being quite powerful
He said that they don't upgrade in the first playthrough, although that's not correct. At the end of the Gemlik base level there's a secret area where you can upgrade the weapons if you're so inclined. It's certainly not an obvious route like exp upgrades or the teleport in the beginning of the game on the second playthrough, so I will concede that more than a few people probably didn't upgrade their weapons on their first run through. Unless you were either familiar with the area or saw it and knew what to do with your knowledge of the game's conventions you wouldn't have found it. That's what I was saying, if it wasn't clear in the first post.
+John Is Blessed No, it was clrear. But I'm still maintaining my point; she (I believe Buns is a girl) said that they don't upgrade in the first playthrough. You gave one reason, other reason being the bolts. Unless you spend a lot of time getting a high quantity of them (and of course, once you find enough gold bolts) you can't upgrade all of your weapons. Maybe one or two, but not all of them. Or, well, that's how I get her comments.
A good way to get lots of bolts is to put on your robot disguise before entering the Hoverboard race. Once your on the track you'll have no Hoverboard because you're a robot. Then all you have to do is walk (yes, walk) along to the big jump with the huge stack of crates. Stand under the stack with the crates or of camera shot then use the taunter to sonically burst open the boxes and rain down an endless shower of bolts upon you. It'll take a while to collect bolts. You'll have to constantly hold the button but every ten minutes will get you approx. 10,000 bolts. If you're patient you can get the RYNO quicker than paying thru all of the levels over and over.
I got Ratchet & Clank AND A WHOLE FREAKING PS3 THAT CAME WITH IT FOR MY 16TH BIRTHDAY (and no Im not even kidding about that) I loved it and was playing it for a few years
This is definitely not the weakest in the series. Not even close. In fact I’d say it’s one of the best. The fact that you can’t strafe makes you use all the weapons when the time is appropriate for them and to get creative with enemy encounters. The game wasn’t designed with that type of strafing in mind. It is not a 3rd person shooter. It’s a platforming game with guns as your powerups, as the Brit once said. Going to different planets and backtracking isn’t a chore. You’ll see something early on that you can’t get to or use and you’ll take note of it. Knowing to come back later for its rewards or whatever lies beneath. It gives you an incentive to explore the awesome planets, and even when backtracking is mandatory, it still opens up a whole new path you haven’t explored yet. That’s one of the great things about these early rc games that the later ones seemed to have forgotten. Part of the fun of that exploration is also finding the golden bolts, which you’ve seemed to have blown off as a useless collectible. The golden bolts are fun to look for because they’re always hidden well, and collecting heaps of them lets you upgrade your guns to a new, powerful version. giving you even more of an incentive to explore and find all of these things. Also adding tons of replay value. Especially since you can’t unlock half the gold guns until the next play through, also making bolts easier to earn. The skill points are an awesome inclusion that games nowadays don’t have. They are cryptic, but they have ‘skill’ in the name. You have to use your brain to figure out how to get these things. It’s not that hard. If you have to look up a guide for these things, that just takes away from the whole point of it. Having cool secret things you can find with no handholding from the devs at all. It’s perfect if you’re a completionist. Also your summary of the story for this game doesn’t do the actual story justice. You left out so many important details. Saying it’s basic garbage. Sure it’s not the greatest story ever written, but I’d argue it is the best in the series. The MAJOR character development between ratchet and clank is some really great stuff, which you called “minor” character development. I had to write this out because it seems like you don’t understand this game. Forgive me if this is sporadically typed out.
It is possible to afford the RYNO on a first play through. I did it once because I was curious. Don’t spend a single bolt on anything that isn’t absolutely necessary to move the plot and get as many bolts as you can as you go through the planets. Don’t buy any weapons, don’t buy any ammo, don’t buy anything unless not buying it makes the plot stop. I recommend mastering using the wrench and the suck cannon, because you will not have much ammo for anything. But if you do all that, then you will have enough bolts and the final bossfight will be way easier.
I remember playing through the whole game with only the blaster and visibomb, because I was saving up to get the ryno so that the game would be easy. There's irony in that somewhere.
if you wanna get the ryno fast play the first hoverboard race a few times, each time beating your high score. Then, when you reach your limit for the high score, save the game and restart the console. repeat until you get enough $
Nope! I was very late to getting to know this series, I was introduced through the future series, but I still think that this is one of the best games of the series.
I have 100% every RaC game and gotten the Platinum for all of them as well, except deadlocked as the PS3 port kinda sucks, but I plan on doing so, yes, I even got the plat for the mediocre PS4 remake. Tips for RaC1, it has aged the worst so it isn't for everyone, and it is probably the hardest one thanks to no straffing. The R.Y.N.O. took me ages to get originally but for the Platinum trophy I just did a glitch and left my PS3 on for essentially a whole say while I worked to do so instead of doing 5-6 playthroughs, which I did 3 at the time and only had about 70,000 after buying everything else. Earning the bolts in this game is just dumb, but it's still an amazing game and legitimately funny with it's sometimes really crude humor just like the rest of the original trilogy, probably the funniest anf it has an amazing soundtrack... Just like the other 2 as well. I have also played through the PS2 version, along with the first 3 about 15-20 times each. Qnd probably about 10 each on PS3 as I replay one or two of them every year. I love this series and if you have a PS3 get the collection, and if you have a PS2 hook it up and buy the games if you don't have a PS3 that is.
This game is extremely easy what are you talking about the only weapons you need to get through the entire game is the blaster and the devestator and plus this was my first ever game that I play and started playing it at three years old

Great video! You're near to the 10k subs... And so the face reveal! :3
she already revealed her face on twitter
Omg, she's like SuperSayan! So kawaii! :3
I can`t believe she was like 10k subs
Wait... so you’re telling us that she got from 10.000 to 246.000 sub in just two years!?
@Nabinani 777
and in 3 months she got almost 50,000 more subs!
This is my favorite ratchet and clank game and it also has the best R.Y.N.O.
The Bun is back :D
I feel so alone when i say that this is my favorit ratchet and clank game =,(
mine too :)
Ur not alone this is also my favorite r&c game too
It is possible to afford the RYNO on a first play through. But if you do all that, then you will have enough bolts and the final bossfight will be way easier.
congrats!! 10,000 subs
My first game on ps2 I played. Oh that was an awesome Christmas break. And still play it too this day and going commando. Awesome games!!
Sad ya didn't mention using the gold bolts to get the gold weapons, but all good buns, still a great video 😁👍
Man! I wish the remake was as good as this!
SLY COOPER WAS MY ENTIRE CHILDHOOD OMF THE NOSTALGIA IS COMING
...am I the only one who thinks this is one of the BEST Ratchet and Clank games?
Nope.
I do!
No you're not. The original IS among the best games released on the PS2, at least on my biased-mind.
Think? I know IT IS the best of the Triology
Nope! I was very late to getting to know this series, I was introduced through the future series, but I still think that this is one of the best games of the series.
3:45 So what you're saying is: The Ratchet and Clank series is the best 3D Megaman game ever made.
I played this game a year ago for the first time, it gets really hard at times. :)
God this and all of the games after were my whole childhood holy crap
YOU ALSO CALL IT THE HOLY TRINITY I LOVE YOU
i love this person i dont know if its her voice or her humor probably her voice cracking
This is Literally Nora Valkyrie explaining Ratchet and Clank to me. Nothing will change my mind.
YYYYEEEEAAAAAHHHH In the shout outs baby! I am making too big of a deal outta this
Aaaahhhh, I love these games!! :'D And I'm so pumped for the movie, it comes out the day after my birthday this year!
I started half way through and buns just yelled "THE KIDS"
The big scorpion turtle spider thingy was terrifying
I'm sorry butter buns
But your answer is on another planet
buns must be happy that the ps5 has a new Ratchet and clank game... hope she got one lol
Woman, your videos especially your commentary makes my day ;]
This game is extremely easy what are you talking about the only weapons you need to get through the entire game is the blaster and the devestator and plus this was my first ever game that I play and started playing it at three years old
Wowie, that ratchet and clank poster looks way better than the movie we got
Awesome video super butter buns 😁
To this day I still want to play this game
I love this game (all of them) so much, your video makes me want to play all of them (1, 2 and 3) again :D :D :D
Loved playing this game, shooting shit and doing Strike Raid with Ratchet's Keybl- _I_ _mean_ _wrench_.
I meant wrench.
lol
Hey imagine if there was ever a ratchet and clank world in kingdom hearts its wouldn't happen but whoa
@@Felix-nr4uf I'd honestly hate that a lot. I like the gameplay of kingdom hearts but I can't imagine seeing clank going "ratchet, Sora is gonna help us defeat the darkness" it's just... No
Shout outs yay! Ratchet and clank is like my favourite game series so I know my stuffxD
7:27 This monster...
When i was a kid i was really, really, reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally scared to fight this type of monster
Um, no. Size Matters was by far the weakest. Also, you need the gold bolts to upgrade your weapons. They aren't useless.
