    2:12 Intermittent fasting and insulin resistance
    Are you ever hungry, even when you’re full? If you find that you’re hungry even after eating, or that you’re just not satisfied after a meal, this video is for you.
    Why you’re hungry after eating:
    1. You have insulin resistance
    This is a situation where you have too much insulin, and your cells are resisting insulin. You can’t absorb nutrients, and your cells are empty of nutrition despite what you eat. Do healthy keto and intermittent fasting over a long period of time to help correct this. • How To Reverse Insulin...
    2. Your diet is low in nutrients
    It takes nutrients to fix insulin resistance. Nutrients are also one of the things that turn off hunger. It’s really important to make sure your food is nutrient-dense. You especially need minerals like potassium and magnesium.
    3. Low bile
    Your liver is not making enough bile. Bile helps you extract fat-soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids from your food. This is what will signal to your brain that you’re satisfied. • Not Satisfied After Ea...
    4. Low fat
    You’re not consuming enough fat in your diet. The fat in your food will give you fat-soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids. This will help you heal insulin resistance and help you feel more satisfied.
    * Intermittent fasting will help heal insulin resistance. Ideally, you need to fast for 18 hours. Intermittent fasting will help you tap into fat burning and start making ketones. Ketones help suppress appetite and will help you feel satisfied. To make ketones, you need to do intermittent fasting, keep carbs low, and avoid snacking.

    This was one of the symptoms that finally got me to start doing research into my diet.
    I could eat till it was mechanically impossible for me to put anything else into my stomach and still have cravings.
    Never Satisfied, Always Hungry. Something was definitely not right.
    It took about 6 months of various keto/fasting cycles but now food satisfies again, tastes better, and gives me more energy.

    Before going low carb , I used to have this sensation of feeling full and simultaneously hungry at the same time. This sensation was not ameliorated overnight. It took several months of being strictly low carb before this feeling subsided. For those who experience this seemingly paradoxical condition of having your belly full of food, but still feeling hungry, while first starting a low carb diet, all I can say is give it time. Eventually this will go away. I would also advise that until this feeling fully subsides, don't start a fasting program, as it will make it that much more difficult to sustain.

    • @alphacause
      @alphacause Рік тому +1

      @@leovargas760 It all depends on the person. For some people this hunger sensation may take a few days to subside. For others, it may take a few weeks or even months. To minimize the severity of these hunger pangs, I would just significantly increase your protein intake. Eating around 1 gram of protein per lb. of ideal body weight, or even a little bit over, can expedite this uncomfortable transition process, until you get to the point that your body is in tune with your true hunger signaling and not duped by this false hunger signal, which is usually induced by blood sugar fluctuations.

    I was hungry even when I was full when I tried the vegan diet for a short period a few years back. That was just one of many problems I experienced while vegan: poor sleep, poor libido, poor mental focus, skin would get patchy in some spots, ice cold extremities during the winter no matter what I wore, bloating, and massive poops. Glad it was short and would not do that again. All these issues resolved once I started eating beef and eggs every day and cut down on the carbs. Didn't even jump to keto.

    So I’ve been doing all of this to reverse my insulin resistance. I finally decided to break my fast this time with the super health force “vitamineral green”. Omg. I tried to eat my salad and avocados after that and I had to force myself to finish it. It’s so true! The nutrients in that vitamineral green fed my cells so I didn’t have cravings and cut my appetite in half. It does say on the bottle that it is considered a food and that’s amazing to me.

      I've been through this. I handle it a bit better now. Turmeric and ginger, perhaps in a tea, help. More garlic in your food, too. High intensity exercise will also cause your body to produce more of its own heat, long after exercise. I recall, for example, having trouble sleeping on warm nights, after a robust workout at the gym because my body kept producing more heat. This could be leveraged in the winter, while fasting.

    What if you have severe adrenal fatigue? I’ve tried fasting and Keto multiple times in the past and it has caused me some pretty significant problems. And my gall bladder isn’t working well. I’m taking enzymes now, but am nervous about adding a ton of fat in. My digestion is poor. I’d like to do this, but am struggling with those things.

    • @lynnharrell9598

      Heather Noelle, I have been doing Keto for awhile now, and I do not have a gallbladder. The addition of apple cider vinegar and bile salts has made a huge difference in how I feel after eating. Omit the carbs and sugars and eat enough fat to help keep you satisfied between meals. Stay with it and your system will adjust.

    • @lynnharrell9598
      @lynnharrell9598 4 роки тому +1

      Nancy Fahey, Although I did and still do eat coconut oil, it isn’t my primary source of fat. I incorporate fresh avocado into my diet and also cook with avocado oil. I eat a variety of nuts and use almond flour in baked goods. I eat peanuts, but not a lot. Since it is technically a legume, the carb count (and omega 6) for peanut is too high for me to maintain my daily limits. Also, when I take my daily supplements, I consume 1 tbsp of extra Virgin olive oil with a pinch of Himalayan pink salt followed by 1 tbsp of MCT oil. Since most of my vitamins and supplements are fat soluble, then these oils help with absorption. You may have to work up to more fat, but the reason you are having digestion troubles is probably because you do not have enough stomach acid. The apple cider vinegar and bile salts is where I would start if I were you, along with moderate intake of fat. I think you should start with an avocado. Hope this helps.

      I had severe adrenal based chronic fatigue and didn't know what it was, for 8-1/2 years. That was long ago. I finally found a doctor who properly diagnosed me and I received treatments that helped me. To this day, I have to be kind to my adrenals so I do not slip back to that bad state again. I try to be sure I get plenty of rest, take it easy, and especially if I have a big event or deadline I have to structure things in such a way that I am not in a stressed situation. I have "boundaries" with toxic relationship situations and have learned to silently walk away in an unnoticed way. I avoid drama at all costs, and surround myself and my home with peace. I do not have many people to my home outside of my own family. It is reserved as my refuge where I shut the world behind me when I walk through the door, which gives me instant relief. I have learned to back off from community services that I used to be involved with but all I noticed about that is that people were always competing for top positions in non-profit organizations, so I could see they had plenty of people involved so they didn't need my help! Most of those people who demand to be in charge aren't pleasant anyway. I devoted my time to my children and family instead. I simplified my life and got a lot of external stress out and it has helped tremendously in my healing and recovery. I have learned to not stack big events one after another. I give myself a few days break in between if I can. All of these things have made a big difference in my recovery and ongoing health.
      Be kind to yourself. That is the most important thing you can do to get well and stay well. You are worth it!
