The last part helped me A LOT! Thanks dude. My Kia Rio 2012 is running again after bringing the whole thing to a lock smit specialized in safes. I should have paid 700 USD but with your help and a friend telling me to bring it to a lock smit it cost me just and only 75 USD and 3 days without my car. But paying only 10% of what KIA dealer would like to charge me, made me extremely happy!!!!

I have a 1980 cressida and the key got stuck on the "start" position and I could only turn in back to the "on" position. Lock didn't want to go to accessory so I guess I'm gonna have to do what you did here and press down that pin the hard way.

Anyone have any ideas on how to connect the wires back through the steering wheel to the key ignition barrell my car was broken into and the wires are not in the steering wheel the key still turns to unlock the wheel. But it's a screw driver start now

Or clamp the Vice grip on the ignition barrel an pull it up hard an the barrel will come right out , don’t use for bad reasons ❌

Thanks for the video bro it helped me to change mine but somebody else messed mine up and took all the pieces and plastic surround it off now I have to put it back on but I don’t know how what would’ve been great idea is that you would do it from beginning with all the plastics and everything so we will know where to put everything back

Hello,Im not sure I understand what my options are. I got CIVIC 1997,3 door and I lost my keys. One option is to brake the lock and put the new one or try to read a code from the lock so guys in servis can make a new keys for me. Am I close? Answer pls before I do something stupid :)
you should be able to take down your VIN number and go into a honda dealership and they can make you a new key for around $5. Just make sure to take your title in as well as a matching driver license.
In Honda dealership saying thay can help me for 1997 year...it`s just not the option :(

Well my screw driver broke the cylinder and removed everything from inside and still wont turn, its all broken but it won't turn, driving me crazy

question. where on the ignition lock cylinder for the mk3 supra shows the code for the key
I did not see one anywhere on the cylinder. If it is the same key as the door though, you should be able to use the door code. That code is found on the door cylinder from what I have read on the forums.
Take the 2 screws off the plastic thing on the other end of the lock Cylinder. stick a screwdriver in it and turn it As the key would And it will start.
Can you do the same thing in a 1989 f150.
No you need to get a cutting torch and put the flame on cut and put it right in the ignition for about acouple minutes that will get it and than use plyers to put it out should come right out after that
So you really do have to have the cylinder turned to the forward position ? I just need to break the pin like you did imor drill it out and it should slide right out ? Niece lost the key to my old mud truck (87 Toyota.)
