Another thing you can do to make the marks more visible is to blacking the edge with a Sharpie pen and the pins will scratch through the thin ink. I did this for my old Accord with an aluminum key made entirely from scratch.

They could sneak up on your house at 2 am for example and use similar techniques to fashion a working key then they can easily slip into your house in no time right after you leave for work in the morning and they can lock it right back up on their way out so it takes you a minute to even realise you have been robbed
Everyone should have high security locks and infrared security cameras with pan and motion tracking, that alert if GSM or wifi is blocked, like my house.
The soft lead that comes off the key CANT BE VERY GOOD TO BRING CLOSE TO YOUR FACE when trying to see/shave the mask. Since you already got the bench for the vice, MAYBE bench light with a large glass that can slightly magnify it can keep help keep all the shavings on the bench and away from your face..
No you cannot impression side bar locks. Although I did impression a ford sidebar ignition when they first came out. I may have just got lucky, but Ford sidebar is different than gm style little wafers. I will consider doing a gm sidebar ignition lock removal video.

This is a lost art with the modern locksmith. Tools used today take the Smith out of locksmith. With the exception of much older cars, this would be the preferred method for something earlier than 1980s vehicles. Your truck should be super easy.
Hey. Don't know if you answer questions but I'll try? My fob has disintergrated with age. Still works perfectly except if you try & use it in the car, it falls apart again. So we got a key cut, stretchy chain & put the fob up, like when you start the car. And that works. But I just want a new fob with key without cost Aus $160 plus. Can it be fixed some way?
The wafer pins are on both sides in a 2005 Ford H75 key blank. It is possible if you solder the lead on both sides of the key blank. Difficult but not impossible. Better way would be to pick the ignition over to accessory and remove it, then take apart and make a key by code machine. Or you could put the key in a vice and hand file it. That would be a good video I will do one next time.
It's a special soft key. I think is an aluminium key. Thats why he doesnt use a magnifier glass. Those marks in the key are simply visible, and you only have to rush them till they dissapear every time You rush...

I will do a video on how to impression a key when there are wafer pins on both sides. But for now you can take out your drivers door lock. There is a key code stamped on it. Remove the rubber plug and unscrew the torx nut on the door jam perpendicular to the key lock. And remove the lock. If you text me the key code I will send you a key for $30.
