I'm a roofer by trade and I truly enjoy the tricks and skill level you show us and I appreciate that . Allows me to try and be a better roofer every day
although I know some of the stuff in the beginning of the video I watch the entire video, only because I know it helps you and the algorithm. Youre videos have helped me so much its the least I could do. I worked in construction and specifically commercial or industrial. Your videos were like refreshers for me. I took 7 years off construction. I live in rural alaska so life and circumstances made it difficult to do what I truely enjoy but watching your videos gave me confidence in my ability and now ive been working like crazy. I hope you see this and have a blessed day.
Another fine example of superb craftsmanship and detail from you guys. Even though I've seen this install many times on your channel, I can't "not" watch it. The owner is a lucky person. Kudos again.
I build barndaminiums for a living and every one is 30 ×60 and we build it from the ground up, we do cut ✂️ them by hand but that tool you guys use is priceless, way to go guys
Love the look of the roof the house is coming together it's gonna look great but I'm still singing ain't no mountain high enough in my head that will be stuck thanks Kyle
when I saw you sliding that piece of trim up as you installed the valley pieces, I figured you were trying to keep from scratching up the valley pan as you slide the panels into place. I think that is one of the reasons people like your work so well, you always give great attention to the details, even when others may not notice them. I think more people notice than what you think!
Very well done Kyle If I could suggest - High Temp Ice and Water under metal. Regular Ice and Water can melt into gutters or onto fascia or down metal on the roof. Especially that upper corner where the valley meets the wall, it'll melt and run down the valley. But hey, UA-cam always knows better, right? Thanks for taking the time to make your videos
Was looking at the recent Home Depot Pro Ad June 6th to 19th. Scrolling down there is a picture that looks like you, if it isn't then it's your doppelganger. Red hair and beard with matching red Martinez hammer, Martinez square, truwerks clothing, Iso Tune ear pro, Makita cordless track saw, cutting what should be LP Smart Siding.
Kyle, like always, nice job on the roof!! But, like I have told some of my help before, (singing, and rapping) Don't quit you day job!! 😆😆 Keep up the Great work!!
hey kyle, there is a little trick for scissorlifts on muddy floor: you could roll out a scrap piece of carpet on the floor an then drive over the carpet. perhaps you must nail the carpet with ground nails into the ground, so that it could not spin arround the wheels. greetings from germany!
Love the series, love the colors, and as always the attention to detail. Missed you at the IBS in Florida but hoping to shake your hand in Vegas this year!
Just think about how awesome it would be if you could get your buildings to be as stable as your scissor lift is in windy conditions. 😆 Great job, as usual. Thanks for the content
Probably covered earlier, or on a prior build, but I would like to know what gauge thickness do you prefer for the standing seam roofs you install? Thanks!
I installed a metal roof with brother who was 2 yrs older then me,he had no experience with the install, but he did have construction experience, he couldn't even put the screws in straight on the panels, they were slightly sideways and were indenting the overlapping panels and he was scratching the panels with his tools and he also complained all day long when he needed help he didnt like asking for it.after a couple of days I let him know I could just finish it myself.
The sound definitely changed; it isn't as crisp as the Rhode mic, but it's still okay! If it's more comfortable and convenient for you, I doubt it will make any difference to any of use listening. I was wondering what happened to the sound just seconds before you said why it was different. It still sounds okay!
I was wondering on your buildings you don’t sheath the roof how are you fastening your ridge cap with your purlins staggered. Are you using stitch screws or how are you hitting that upper purlin
Your by the Work to look on is a very good Course of Instruction. Then it is to see how this Works Perfect to make is! 👍👌Very good if you self Worker must have to a Repair.!!! 👷♂️🤔 Greeting 🇦🇹
If I do end up building a Barndominium and shop, I really want to have you come to Michigan and build it...I know, I know, I know...after Jimmy's shop you really don't want to travel again....but it's only 6 hours from you...just saying...LOL.
With your attention to detail plus your recent tour of Switzerland, when will the RR Buildings luxury diver's watch be hitting the shelves? I'd buy it in a second.
Hey Kyle, I don't think steel roof manufacturers recommend abrasive ie and water membrane? Here in Canada, the 2 major manufacturers disapprove, is it different in USA?
Roofer from New Zealand here. I love the product you are using. We have a similar system but it’s not as detailed to install. My only constructive criticisms are the valley trays should be one continuous piece, when you join them in the middle that join will rust out much faster than anything else on the roof. Also I noticed you don’t stop end the tops of the sheets. I’ll be interested to see how the flashing details mitigate wind blown water.
Sticks of valley are 10'. (3 meters) If the valley is longer than 10' (3m) you need to make them 'join in the middle'. Custom orders for valley flashing that are longer than standard length are rare.
When does Greg get his new mic too, I know he’d be hard to control with his singing, but I’m sure hearing the two way banter between you guys better would be well worth the occasional ear ache from his singing 🙉😂
I know some editing has to go into the vids, but even still... it seems like a metal roof goes on a lot faster than shingle. In your professional opinion, do you find that to be true on average? That installing metal is faster than shingle.
Is that granular ice and water? I’ve been watching vids trying to get confident enough to tackle my house and noticed some say not to use granular on metal roof
So those roof panels are only screwed on 2 sides? And 3rd side is only held together by friction with another panel and 4th side just lays on the roof. Doesn't that mean that a strong wind that gets underneath the panel can just bend it in half?
Look up “standing seam roof” for more detail. The way the “non-screwed” side locks on it will even withstand hurricane force winds. Have never put a standing seam on a house, but same principle as a Behlen ZL24 standing seam system which is what I have worked with.
with all your smart people on this channel you should create an app called "math does not lie". and have all the calculations and stuff that you use everyday.
What a beauty that roof looks guys. I always have liked the metal roof. I did roof construction and shingles suck and are so hot. Another great video y’all we getting close to the giveaway I am getting eager to know who won. I’m still giving away half to my friends small construction business if I win 👍👍👍👍. Greg for mayor.
Kyle love your videos and and work but you rubbing the bottom of that metal on that panel with the ice and shield rough will cause it to rust over time just try the ice and water smooth
Why would you put butyl tape on your drip edge? I can’t imagine rain being driven in there, and wouldn’t you want to leave an escape route for any water that should happen to get under the metal panels?
we have got a valley on our hip roof barn that we can not get to stop leaking, how can we get it to stop we have had several builders out to look at it and they don't know
I thought standing seam required the use of special fasteners that do not penetrate any part of the panels??? Looks like you screwed directly into the edge of the panel???
Is there a good way for a competent DIY-er to install a standing seam roof on a simple roof without needing to buy a bunch of specialized tooling etc.?
I'm a roofer by trade and I truly enjoy the tricks and skill level you show us and I appreciate that . Allows me to try and be a better roofer every day
Kyle wish every builder would take as much pride as you do in perfection in building . Everything you build is like your own👍

@@RRBuildings sorry I wasn't subscribed, I'm subscribed on my pc account where I watch a majority of your videos. Ty again
You and Greg are a well-oiled machine at this point. Always fun to watch you work together. And I usually learn something too. Thanks for sharing!
Another fine example of superb craftsmanship and detail from you guys. Even though I've seen this install many times on your channel, I can't "not" watch it. The owner is a lucky person. Kudos again.
I love ur next insurance ad, it was at the beginning of the video with u in it!
I build barndaminiums for a living and every one is 30 ×60 and we build it from the ground up, we do cut ✂️ them by hand but that tool you guys use is priceless, way to go guys
When I see you cutting and bending your metal and trim it reminds me of a artist painting a masterpiece.
Once again Kyle crushing the killer content!!!
Yep.
That snap table is bad ass. That angle cut was fast and clean.
Right when I was gonna ask if the house was moving, Kyle says it’s the scissor lift moving. Priceless! Awesome work guys! As always 😎💪🏽
Really like your attention to detail. Hips and valleys look perfect. Nice job
You can really describe in detail how you proceed with your job, looking forward to each video
You guys are the best at working with metal. Great craftsmanship and professional skill. Wish I could find that in my area for a reasonable price.
My dad was a carpenter, when putting roofing on he would say ( think like rain ).
God bless.
Great words of advice
Awesome metal roof work!!!!! The out come looks fantastic. The whole build has been great. You guy’s do such awesome work☺️☺️☺️👍👍👍👍
Love the look of the roof the house is coming together it's gonna look great but I'm still singing ain't no mountain high enough in my head that will be stuck thanks Kyle

Amen!
That toss was legit 😎
Every once in awhile a blind squirrel finds a nut
Great video. Was nice to see both a hip and a valley example ...
Great work. Well done Kyle & Greg! 👍😁
I wish I could work with guys for a summer and learn everything they know 💯
And yes the audio is on point Sir!
I’ve been in the warehouse of metal sales in Rogers, MN!
Very well done Kyle

Really enjoy the details in your work.

Thanks… I do have mats. Just too lazy to bring to site I guess

Sounds good
DJI mic def sounds better when it’s outside of your shirt. Great vid!
Wow. So impressive.
It’s like art for us construction dudes
Agree
Awesome work Fellas! 😃👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Just think about how awesome it would be if you could get your buildings to be as stable as your scissor lift is in windy conditions. 😆
Great job, as usual. Thanks for the content
Lining up the ribs is the difference between contract work and professional work! Good job. Don’t deviate!
Probably covered earlier, or on a prior build, but I would like to know what gauge thickness do you prefer for the standing seam roofs you install? Thanks!
Is that sanded ice and water in the valley? Everything looks fantastic
Beautiful work right there

outstanding work
Thank you so much for that amazing video

Can you make one video with more details about how to get the rise of de valley more calculation and what calculator you use and how thanks
With your attention to detail plus your recent tour of Switzerland, when will the RR Buildings luxury diver's watch be hitting the shelves? I'd buy it in a second.
The different mic sounds great.
@22:30 under the coat isn't that a large gap for flashing?
white shoes on a job site for the win!!
Love it 👍

What is the shoe on the scissor lift. It looks like it is stuck to the inside next to the controls. Thanks and have a great day.
cougar paw...magnetic
These guys work is clean as fuck. Attention to detail 👌
What standing seam brand you using?
I mean the name of the company who make the metal roof?
Looking very professional thanks
Metal sales image II
Is that granular ice and water? I’ve been watching vids trying to get confident enough to tackle my house and noticed some say not to use granular on metal roof
Awesome job. What states do you work in
I want this on my house. I'll get around to it after my current roof is destroyed by our usual golf-ball hail.
How did you found tbw angle I saw you measures but didn't get it Sr,(21:09)
So those roof panels are only screwed on 2 sides? And 3rd side is only held together by friction with another panel and 4th side just lays on the roof. Doesn't that mean that a strong wind that gets underneath the panel can just bend it in half?

How big baktery you use for drill and screwdriver? 8.0ah it will be too heavy ?
Why is the a shoe sticking to the side of the scissor lift?!? (10:50)
Magnetic
Leeeetttttsssss gooooo!👊
Great vid. Why isn’t the whole roof everywhere ice and water shield for ultimate protection like I would do it??
You could… not going to do too much with this method… air gap would be the only thing I’d add maybe for additional roof health
Thanks again. Kick ass
Greg, when is your album coming out?
Did you use granulated ice and water shield?
Where do you start? Does the rake go on first, or the panel?
with all your smart people on this channel you should create an app called "math does not lie". and have all the calculations and stuff that you use everyday.
to be honest I have thought about it
Does it make any difference as to the orientation of the male and female crimp for water and wind loads

🤔 looks like some sort of new Martinez head that Kyle is using…?? Am I way off track?
You are correct
Who is your metal supplier? I live in southern Indiana and would love if I could get the same style roof and trims I see you use in your videos.
Looks like he's been working with you to long,it's rubbing off, roof looks great
The easy work and no need to calculate very hard. Keep going. But its a an wasy job you work and no need to subscribe :)
Kyle love your videos and and work but you rubbing the bottom of that metal on that panel with the ice and shield rough will cause it to rust over time just try the ice and water smooth
I’d love to see this property IRL
Why would you put butyl tape on your drip edge? I can’t imagine rain being driven in there, and wouldn’t you want to leave an escape route for any water that should happen to get under the metal panels?
Wow!! That’s a lot of roof with a lot of problems.
What is the tool you are using to turn up the valley flashing?
Wuco bender

I thought standing seam required the use of special fasteners that do not penetrate any part of the panels??? Looks like you screwed directly into the edge of the panel???
Awesome awesome 😎
How do you guys make everything perfectly square?
lots of care given early in the process that leads to this
I’m aware of that, was hoping you’d explain more but that’s not this topic.
don't give up your day job greg
Kyle, what gauge is that material? 24, 26, 28 ???
Thanks man
I feel like one side of those panels should already come with 1 side prepped and that slot sealed
Is there a good way for a competent DIY-er to install a standing seam roof on a simple roof without needing to buy a bunch of specialized tooling etc.?
yes for sure
In real time, how long did it take to build the barndo start to finish?
I find it comical to wear excessive tool bags when everything they need and use is laying on the roof.
Good job fellows! Awesome!
Many changes of clothes, was this a week or more?
Will the snap table cut R panel valley cuts?
Yes if you get it set up for that
Isn't anyone going to ask about those short panels that you tried to hide with the clothing on the roof?
what short panels?
Old mic setup sounds more crisp i think. This is a bit muffled.
@ 3:11 I see what you did there. 😅😅
