  • In todays video I continue scrapping the massive pile of electrical gear, pick up some lights, copper wire and crack some transformers. I had some issues with the transformer press but we worked it out and still was able to process a massive pile of copper. Unfortunately I lost some footage but I think you will enjoy the video. Also I have been working with an editor to bring you more videos if you can give them a shoutout in the comments they have been doing a great job. Thanks for watching! #transformers #recycling #scrapping #scrap #copperwire #aluminum #diy #projectshopfl #copperking #led #ledlights #lighting #copperwire

    For your transformer breaking springs.....run a steel cable through the middle of the spring, loop it through both springs. So next time the spring break they do not fly around and kill you. They do this on garage door spring now.

    One of the reasons it's so well built is that if there is a shortcircuit in such a circuit, it can be 20kA or more. The conductors experience Lorentz force due to the magnetic fields generated by this current and they are forced apart from each other. They would literally bend into a mangled heap of plates.

    Really couldn't notice much of a difference in editing, seems like a good match in editors. Over the past 6 months you can tell the quality and frequency is better.
    Just some other thoughts;
    Might be worth looking at getting more sd cards to off load footage while recording with another, maybe an sd card case for organization. Seems like you can also plug a go pro into a battery bank to record longer.

    • @ProjectShopFl
      @ProjectShopFl  8 місяців тому +2

      Thanks for the suggestions. I just got 2 new cards so I have 6 now and I like the idea of a card organizer. I can plug the go pro in and on the time laps it works great but with the live action camera it will still over heat for some reason.

    Not sure how many SD cards you have or are willing to buy, but I wonder if you could have a few for Monday, a few for Tuesday, etc. and mark them as such or use colored stickers to label them. Then, when Monday comes, swap out the previous day's cards for them, put the cards you removed on your desk, and then transfer them to your computer? Or you could just have an "A" set of cards and a "B" set and swap back and forth. At least you know what files not to delete by accident. Does that make sense?

    Maybe you've done this already, if not, look at increasing your projected profit. What you pay your customers. Everyone knows costs have gone crazy up. Rent, fuel, food, labor. Don't do anything for free, because it's not to you. Your overhead has probably gone up at least 20% since you've been in the new shop. Just a thought.
