I have been scraping since I was a kid (micro). Never had enough room for anything else. There are just things you like to do and you can’t explain why. You and Steve kick ass. ✌️
Thank you! 👊
SCRAPPING.....WITH TWO " P"'S.... NOT SCRAPING.

Nice haul and great video! Pretty nice of your neighbor to help out with his forklift.

@@travisseip665 😂 Thanks!
The cops owed you. Haha Those are the biggest bad ass transformers I ever saw. What do the cops use transformers that big for? Electric chair? LOL
😂😂😂 It was for all the computers and traffic cameras for the police and fire Department
Watching you carefully disassemble that transformer with your shop hammer was THE COOLEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN !
Keep it up, dude. Thanks for showing us what you do.
Thanks!
I'm too old or my arthritis too bad! I can't do it anymore! I end up throwing hammer everywhere!
Transformers are tricky and can be MAD work
Dang brother. I had 9 copper transformers a few months back! 670 pounds of copper!
New contract 600 parking lot lights! 36 down 564 Togo!
Nice! That sounds like an awesome job. 👊
My local store just did their parking lot lights and inside lights they threw them all in the roll off trash dumpster, so far I've pulled 2960 pounds out still got more to go as long as it stays, I work full time and scrap on the side. Amazing what people throw away
@@twiztidfreakshow4186 dang! Make sure you check those transformers. Bust ‘em open if they are copper windings. Watch some of my videos on easiest way to do by hand!
Bad thing about steal in Tampa it only brings 4c per lbs so it's not worth touching couse it takes more in gas to get it to the scrap yard then you get for it.
Wow! That sucks.
hello Project Shop FL & it's is Randy & i like yours video is cool Thanks Project Shop FL Friends Randy
Thanks Randy 👍
I’m hooked now got to see it all 🤣. ✌️
😂😂 Thanks!
nice find...
Thanks!
I try to watch ur videos as much as I can. And I'm always learning. In the beginning of this video, when u were introducing ur monologue per se at the police station; I believe I saw a different side of u than I have never seen before. A more honest side where u were admitting u were gonna have issues loading & transporting the transformers. I'm glad to see ur not superman. I also love the fact that ur not afraid to ask for help if need be; ur worker, ur neighbor with the forklift, etc. Keep up the good work & I look forward to future content.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate the kind words.
I cant wait for part 2
👍👍
Great looking load great video
Thanks!
We pulled 147 pounds of #1 bright and shiny out of this really old pole transformer behind my house years ago and made almost $600 off of it. It was flat thick and we burnt it for 3 days to remove the black tar stuff from it. You should have saw us picking it up on top of a 85 big red 3 wheeler and walking next to it throttling slowly up the hill to my house. This thing was under a legit mountain of scrap people have been dumping for 100 years now a for real gold mine.
That's not bright shiny, its no.2.
Nice transformer pickup!
Thanks!
Great haul and video keep up the great work.
Thanks!
I think that the copper for old sparkie, just kidding U tube don't band me😅
👍👍👍
Good job
Thank you!
Massive.
👍👍👍
LOL, I would have had to make 3 trips with my little 6 x 8 trailer. Can't wait for part 2 :-)
😂😂😂 👍
I scrap were i live and have been for over 20 years and enjoy it . I've learned how do do somethings deferent watching your videos. I enjoy your content brother. 💯🤘
Glad they help 👊
Awesome score, been waiting for that video. Keep doing it😊
Thank you!
damn they are big hope you get what your hoping for from them great video and thanks for sharing and will watch all your videos they are the best
Thanks!
Scrappers rock👍
Thanks!
Tractor supply or internet trailer parts are everywhere
I bought everything to fix it.
Where there’s a will there’s a way to get it in the truck or on the trailer. I got a 1980lb pipe on my trailer from the edge of a corn field. I used a cherry picker, trailer winch and 3 small pieces of pipe. It was free and took me 1/2 hour.
Nice!
Some spools of grade A copper I picked up on spring cleanup weighed over 60lbs in copper ground wire each ....We flattened the back tires on my minivan with 27 rolls ... Thank goodness I made enough to get new tires and a full tank of gas and multiple meals. 😂😂
That is awesome!
Yeah I'd say u made enough to do those things with 1620lb of copper.😅
i have some of thes style transformers from general electric medical MRT... and i can knock the u shaped stell cores out, afer cutting the frame
Nice!
cool video buddy, here in Germany I can access a maximum of 80 to 100kg transformers. Just a few days ago, 70 to 72 received 275 kilos of industrial goods from GDR times. Best regards, a top follower and recycler from Germany
That's awesome, thank you!
I was waiting for the bombshell to hit you bro. I did that kind of electrical work for years and I know that about 85% of those transformers are made out of aluminum with copper bus bars sometimes they have all aluminum in them. This keeps the cost down. Also aluminum will radiates heat off a lot faster than copper will.
Thanks!
Hey Project Shop... cool vid.
Time for a trailer project overhaul - definitely new wood... lets do it.
Thanks for the suggestion it's been time. lol
Hehehehe ... copper from a cop station :)
😂😂😂
Triple working 😮
How is that?
Gonna need a new trailer! Love the videos!
Those racing slicks on the trailer are pretty sketchy! lol
I need a new lot of things. lol
@@ProjectShopFl Haha. We all need a lot of things. I hear ya bro. George Carlin did a comedy routine on the subject of "things" Funny af
Give the forklift guy 50 bucks!
He was taking care of
Definitely a nice load of money😊

Thanks for the info
dude that one trailer tire is absolutely bald. blows my mind you keep riding on it haha.
I have some other rims I will be putting on it.
If it has wheels, it's worth keeping.
👍👍👍
some of them plates or brackerts could fix the cooper king
Thanks for the suggestion
Wow that shit is huge, I've never seen transformers as big as those. You got your work cut out for you with those damn things .
Yes, they were actually kinda easy.
🙂
👍👍👍
Now you're talking!
👍👍👍
I like using a sawzall 12”blade no copper dust flying every were 👍
That works to but not as fast.
@@ProjectShopFl I know but that copper dust 🐜 good too breath and you don’t have to we’re a mask
Those aluminum pieces are for cooling !

👍
First one was 30% copper
Thanks for the info.
Daamn those were nice. Ive done a couple myself in the last year but nothing that massive. 685 and 348 lol. Really sucks the big one was aluminum. Nice score Man
Nice! The last one was copper just has AL spacers.
@@ProjectShopFl oh.. I kinda figured the aluminum was acting as a heatsink!!
U need a Hypertherm max 65 to make life easy. looks hard
HEY DID YOU KNOW THATGREEN LEEand rigget tools are the same company igot a riget tool cata log thay also sent a green lee cat alog with it ant that cool
Thanks I did not know that.
That second baby one you measured you said it was 3:48 but it was 384 you can see it on on your video
Thanks, I'm dyslexic lol
If you flip the pallet jack over it won't move.
Thanks!
it is no loop, they are just u
You will see in the next vid it was a loop
I was going to suggest you buy your fork-lift neighbor a beer. It looks like you handed him some cash tho, smooth.
👍👍 We help each other all the time.
Hey man nice job!
OT Never thought about starting drinking Redbull Zero?
I can't drink diet drinks. I actually cut way back on the Red Bulls. use to drink 1-2 a day now 2-3 a week.
I bought a box of dewaltt "14 blades and a stihl demolition saw and went to town. It hard work running the saw. I split em like u did it work's. Took a leverage bar and broke them. Cant you use your hydraulic sheer as a splitter? Curious.
I have used the spreader jaw to remove the coil once it was cut.
@ProjectShopFl I think I mentioned b4 I had a Hurst portable hydraulic pump. Gas powered. I love your channel and I will gladly donate to cause as long as u get it to south Florida. It's in my storage and was gonna sell it but market is specific and I don't sell online. If u want it.
I'm in southeast Tennessee. I've hauled it around and been offered pennies on price value and since the battery powered shears came out the typical buyers are less and less. I love your channel and b4 I sell for pennies would rather see it in use. Btw, motor runs but I never could afford the sheer
Did u have to bring them downstairs? Can’t imagine the lift can take that kind of weight
Yes it was on the 2nd floor.
The aluminium isn't a loss, it's a gain, being more valuable than steel. Being just spacers for air cooling, they could have been fibreglass worth nothing. No way they would've wasted copper for spacers. Only loss is time to remove them. How do you get good money with all the plastic on?
It's considered #2 copper
384*
???
@@ProjectShopFl when you weighed one of the transformers you said it was 348 but the scale said 384. Not a big deal just though it was a little silly 😃.
Damnit Second
😂😂😂
Looks like their moving to GFRS systems and dont need the radio power supplies anymore (There are two of those not for redundancy but for rx/tx). At first I thought they were older supplies for the rack systems, but I noticed the waveguides in the room that were on the floor so I think these were for the radios.
They were part of the battery back up system that powered the hole room.
@@ProjectShopFl im guessing that equipment was already gone.
@@blackopsrocks Some was there was another company that was taking the stuff but they could not get the transformers out the building. lol that's when they called me.
@@ProjectShopFl good score though
was definitely the TX and RX power supplies. way too big for battery backup. Also backup systems are not kept in the same room for safety and of course redundancy. Source ive worked in their server rooms doing decom, ours was alot easier because we had a way to dump crap out the third floor, straight into a scrap dumpster, had I had the ability I shoulda kept those transformers but the whole units went whole into shred steel
Was the big one from the electric chair? Lol!
Haha, A battery back up system.
Let alone if it stays in the trailer
👍👍👍
People think i steal everything when reminants of wealthy consumerism and business leftovers is the basis of what I find i just grab the good stuff only instead of a bunch of crap.
I totally get that.
Man you really need some new tires before you have a major blowout
I know thanks.
You need a bigger hammer lol
Thanks for the suggestion
Did you forget my transformer
No I still have it I have not had a chance to send it.
The large transformers might clean out 30%
One did and one was more.
that trailer might need a tire
It needs a lot of things. lol
Time to make or buy some thermite... pour it over the top of those big round metal sheets and will eat through them. I'm joking but would make for a fun video....
Haha I wish.
I think it's time you go get a 5 tonne truck with a crain might make your life much easier and look more professional for the bigger clients
I will put that on the list of things I need. lol
You got Copper off a Copper...,
😂😂😂
Get a bigger trailer! Expand!
It's on the list
All those tools in the shop don’t you have a press
I do have a press 100 ton
Those nsa spy buildings... The ones with no fkng windows you mean!?!?! Yo those look scary . Honestly id want nothing to do with that lol
Like all scrap man me as well I always tried not to sling things on the floor. Why does all scrap persons throw it all on the floor then later on you’ve got to pick it all up again that’s pointless better to sling it in a bin and then sort the bin out, or sling it straight in the proper metal bins. Even the boss I used to work for always said they had to go on the floor. What a waste of time
I guess sometimes it's easier that way. lol
For a tree you are paid $1650.
What tree?
you need to make time to fix your fork lift
I know I am trying.
Put that trailer out of its misery! Even the tires are bald....
You need a 12lb hammer or better
Thanks for the suggestion

Nice! 👍👊
engine hoist
👍👍👍
when should you move to a building that suits your needs?
the bottom of your trailer looks incredibly bad condition.. wonder the police didn't fine you before you left😂
😂😂😂
Haven’t watched the whole thing but hope you didn’t pay copper transformer price for that aluminum one. You should have known that wavy coils are aluminum. I’ve never seen those copper. Such a shame waste of a transformer!
They are all copper, one just had aluminum spacers.
@@ProjectShopFlinteresting hope in part 3 I can see the coils of the wavy one. I’ve got a few at one of my sites I left behind. Might have to take a closer 👀
os caras parecem estarem cozidos de tanta preguiça pelo amor de deus
No one is lazy around here.
Man u make it look easy. It's not!
I'm a demo saw guy, but blades are expensive. I tried cutting wet coils out casings with torch and set my partner's trailer on fire. It's not my best move!
Thanks!
So a jobsite
Can you elaborate?
Cheap chinese low efficiency transformers. They probably are upgrading to better quality for less heating the power room. 47:14
They upgraded the hole system.
