- Today we are making homemade Garlic Naan, usually Naan is prepared in a tandoor- which is a cylindrical clay or metal oven but we are making them on a stove top in a very simple way.
Naan bread is a traditional Indian flat bread. This version of homemade garlic naan bread is soft and full of flavors. Garlic Naan, Indian flat bread - naan is topped with garlic and coriander. As we don't have tandoors at home, in this video recipe, we will make homemade Garlic Naan using flat pan. These Vegan Garlic Naans are the perfect Indian breads for all the curries in the world. This is one of the easiest recipes for Garlic Naan and I would love to hear your feedback in the comments when you try this at home
It is perfect recipe to go with Curry, Dal, or with any gravy dishes.

Glad you Liked it Carolyn, I will definitely look forward to your feedback
Yay! I made naan! Thank you again for another clearly explained video. The other day I made your vegan meatballs, and today I used some of the small patty shaped ones like a gyro in this Naan recipe, with lettuce, onion, cucumber, and tzaziki sauce. The only thing is, some of them were a little dense, but some were ok. Is it possible that the better ones were when the pan was hotter? I'll try them again next week with a hotter pan. I think I just need to be braver, lol, and turn up the heat! 😆
Yes Kimberly, the pan needs to be really really hot, else the Naan won't get cooked properly and won't get the right texture, it might turn little rubbery. I m so glad you are giving everything a try ❤️❤️ let me know if you have any other questions.
I cannot wait to drive thank you
My pleasure, I will look forward to your feedback

All-purpose Flour - 300 Grams... is it possible to use another kind of flour to make naan? which one? ty in advance. love garlig naan
I’ve made naan before but your recipe seemed more intuitive, easier to me. Thank you!
I’ve followed you and turned on all notifications but for some reason I’m not receiving them. I know there’s nothing you can do about this but I thought you might like to know in case this issue is affecting your views.
Glad you liked the recipe and so happy that you find it easy to follow... That's always been my priority to make the recipes as easy as possible. Thank you for letting me know about the notifications, I will raise a case and see what happens. You definitely made my day. Thank you again for your kindness ☺️
yaaaaaaaaaaasss VEGAN
:) :) Always & forever
Olive oil is missing from the ingredient list. :)
Trying this now, hope it's delicious! 😁
It was absolutely delicious. Make it! 🙌
Thanks for letting me know, I will look forward to your feedback :)
Oh that was quick, Glad you liked it :)
Thank you for this great video and the recipe! I can't use added sugar - is there anything else I can use to activate the yeast?!
You can use the activated yeast or just add salt towards the end once the yeast is already activated. You can also add the yeast to warm water and keep it in a warm place for the yeast to be activated easily. I hope this helps
I'd like to know if you can freeze the dough balls to make another time? I am one person and with social distancing being respected I can't make that much naan (I would eat it!!!). Also, what was the bean dip you showed with the naan at the end of the video? Thank you! I will try it!
I have kept the dough in refrigerator but never tried freezing it to be honest. But yes it will last in the refrigerator for couple of days. For the black bean curry : check out this link ua-cam.com/video/VlkzvJtUzxQ/v-deo.html
@@Foodotomic That's great to know. How do I store the dough-wrapped in plastic? And do I let the dough rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking? I appreciate the help! I'm going to make this for my son when he visits next weekend...so I probably won't have leftovers this time!
@@4waystoyummy Yes Heide, wrap it in plastic and store it in refrigerator and then probably take it out 1 hour before cooking
can we make it without using yeast powder?
Yes Astha, there are recipes where you can use baking soda, and that will work too
@@Foodotomic Oh that's grt. thanks
@@asthagupta7911 My pleasure Astha :)
Can gluten free flour be used? If so which one;)
YOu can use, gluten free self rising flour to prepare them also if you can find vegan yogurt it will help the recipe too
@@Foodotomic oh Awesomesauce. Thanks. I need to find a good brand ;)
@@deniseaubry6101 I wish I could help more there, I hardly use the gluten free dough for naans but I have friends who make it and turns out good
@@Foodotomic tyvm
@@deniseaubry6101 my pleasure, I will definitely look forward to your feedback :)
I hate kneeding dough ugh
You can try the stand mixer with the dough hook, it is awesome
@@Foodotomic how long in the stand mixer?
@@ceeloud It should be around 15-17 mins depending on the type of stand mixer you are using, once it reaches the strechy soft dough you should be good :)
