I love your channel. So happy that I discovered it! Is it possible to make these pita breads with gluten-free flour? Please advise. thank you
Glad you liked the channel Sheila, yes you can make these with Gluten-free all purpose flour, or with another flour but the texture might be a little different. I know many people who have made it with all purpose gluten free flour and loved it
💜💜💜💜💜💜
Glad you liked it :)
Looks good. Can you recommend a substitute for the yeast?
Thank you :) You can substitute yeast with equal parts lemon juice and baking soda
How to make the chili tofu
You can prepare the chili tofu using this recipe ua-cam.com/video/0DYKyBaAM-E/v-deo.html
What kind of yeast do you use here in australia we have a few different kinds
I am using dry activated yeast, fleischmann's active dry yeast packets
I was watching this video after I had my dinner, but after watching I am literally starving to taste...🤤. Just found out the you tube channel I was looking for.... what about vegan tandoori, can you please make a video on that?😋...
Glad you liked the channel, what exactly do you want me to make? I think a word for missed, let me know and I ll definitely add it to the future recipe ☺️
@@Foodotomic vegan form of tandoori
@@rnpgroup6347 You mean tandoori naan or tandoori dishes ?
@@Foodotomic yeah tandoori dishes like chicken tandoori or paneer tandoori same
@@rnpgroup6347 Sure will prepare some Vegan Tandoori recipes too :)
My dough is rising at the moment. I wonder if I can leave the 8 balls of dough in the fridge before I want to bake them in the pan? Thanx!
You can let them sit at room temperature, if you are making it today itself, but make sure they are covered else you can place them in fridge
Amazing.
Wonder if I can keep frozen dough???
Yes you can refrigerate the dough and let it out for some time before making them.
@@Foodotomic oki... Tq for ur response 😊
@@monikarusmini4420 my pleasure :)
🤔anyone know if this works with King Arthur gf meausure for measure flour?
Don't like using "All Purpose Flour". I wonder if another like like Almond flour can be used instead?
You can definitely use it, but might not give you the same texture in the Pita
I don't know why the 50 ml of water seemed way to small to even start a dough ball. lol I eventually had to add a half cup of water to mine.
That's correct Tj, I have mentioned the same in the description section to add water as required :)
Will it still cook the same if I don't add the oil?
Yes it will, you can actually remove the oil and cook it on the stove top
Will this work with gluten-free flour?
Yes, absolutely. It might not give you the exact same texture though.
Can it be done with wheat flour instead of maida
Yes you can, but you won't get the exact same texture. You can also mix wheat flour with little maida
Can we make this low carb flour?
For sure, you might not get the exact same texture though
@@Foodotomic how many carbs in your recipe? My husband is type two diabetic

Thanks for watching :)
Hey I just tried it but the water in the recipe seems to be way off. Are you sure you meant to write 50ml?
50 ml is meant for the yeast activation and then you need to add some more while kneading it Sofia, you can add the water till you get that smooth consistency in the dough. Let me know if that helps, apologies if that was not clear in the video
Amount of water to use is confusing!
Yeast is vegan?
From this dough can we make donuts?
Yes Srutee, the dough recipe is very close to making donuts. I am going to make a donuts video soon too
@@Foodotomic thanks 🙏
@@sruteepatro6861 my pleasure :)
I tried this recipe and it did not come out right with the quantity of water. Too much flower for so little water.
Hello Kat, I have mentioned in the video to add the water required to knead the dough, you can also check the ingredient's quantity in the caption.
Think there is a typo, because just 50ml of water on 300 grams of flour?
Better make it 150 ml.
The 50 ml is for activating the yeast and then yes remaining 100 ml is later while kneading the dough :)
@@Foodotomic baking them today and looking forward to it together with my celeriac shawarma.
@@ZWGamemasterGame I will definitely look forward to your feedback :) let me know how they turn out :)
@@Foodotomic they where delicious, but they didn't puff up, had the bubbles, but after that, nothing. Could still cut them and fill them. Maybe there was something wrong with the yeast or flower. Will try them again soon.
Only 50ml water for 300gr flour.. are you sur of this ??? 🤔
I did add a little while kneading, but 50ml is mentioned for the yeast prep, later you can increase and decrease the quantity of water as per the dough
@@Foodotomic OK but how much more then please ?
@@alineduranceau1792 I would still say, not more than 30-40 ml more, it again depends on the type of flour. At one point the flour will stop sticking to your hand and it will get really smooth
@@Foodotomic OK thank you for the answer :)
@@alineduranceau1792 my pleasure, do let me know if you need any further help :)
Exc
Thanks
50 ml water? For 300g of flour? Are you sure?
I had also mentioned that you need to add the water as much as to knead the dough
Why so much oil?
You can reduce the oil and prepare it as well
I used this tutorial and so think I burned mine like a brick.
So sorry to hear that, did you use oven to make them?
@@Foodotomic yeah I did, I think I just overcooked them too long.
not to be mean but this is not vegan
and why would you say so?
