Bless this dear lady. She has months of recovery ahead of her. I was a burn nurse for years and know too well what she will go through...it’s unimaginable. Thanks also to my peers for your help and support...
I worked on ucsd burn center back on the 80s.
I carry a 10lb CO2 extinguisher in my car, so far I've used it twice. Once to put out a (older) VW bus with a engine fire and another time when an overheated car started some dry grass on fire. IMHO everyone should carry at least small extinguisher
Poor woman. Being burned has to be the most painful thing. And the treatments and recovery is so painful. I hope she'll be ok.
This video had me on pins & needles! How horrifying to be stuck in a burning vehicle, and you're suffering! Have Mercy! I truly hope she survives these injuries, and can physically & emotionally heal!
When the fire reached the cabin and the plastics and trim materials started to burn she would have been unconscious in seconds. Unfortunately the fumes from that stuff when it's burning can do horrific damage to the lungs and circulatory system so I strongly suspect that even if she does recover from the crash injuries and the burns she may well be very severely disabled due to the lung damage and consequent breathing difficulties. Modern recycled plastics are better than the older stuff which would often give off hydrogen cyanide gas as it burned, but it's still seriously nasty...
You know what the same is a lot more fun
One of my biggest fears. Being burned alive and drowning. I hope and pray she survived and makes a full recovery
@Brent Tanner what a sick comment😠
😢
Brent Tanner I agree but burning would have to be #1the recovery is as painful as the accident...this poor woman. They do say drowning is a bit peaceful after the initial freak out.. bless anyone that has ever been through any of it😢😢
I've been burnt in an apartment fire. I've drowned and almost died. I'm a tough lady and I heal so well that no one can tell I was in a fire. It was hell. I remember the drowning as peaceful since I stopped breathing temporarily and felt peace that surpasses all understanding.
The two sides were in a
May she recover from her injuries and heal mentally God give her a helping hand
I never thought about drowning, but the thought of being burned is far more horrifying. God be with her.
Drowning doesn't smell.
Drowning can be subtle, not flailing and screaming. Qaaa
I can still remember when I was 8 I badly burned my leg from my ankle to my knee the pain was horrific in those days they used plastic skin to heal it that was even more painful as I was allergic things have improved since then with treatments I am now 67 but remember the pain
Prayers for the woman and all else involved.
Dear Lord I hope she was unconscious so she wasn't in pain. I can't imagine what she's going through. Prayers for recovery both mentally and physically.
This is a reminder that we are traveling in metal machines. How long it took them my god. This is why I hate speeders.
Got dang what these 1st responders must witness day in and day out. We owe them our very lives.
May this woman heal in time from all her wounds , God willing . Bless all those firefighters, paramedics that were there to help her . 💖
Amen
Incredible footage. Much respect to our first responders.
Great job by the SDFD, remarkable. Most of all that was a great landing job by those helicopter pilot, unbelievable landing on narrow city streets. I hope after all the great work these first responders did the lady is still alive, that would be heartbreaking. I googled this accident, but all I found waa the same information thats on the video,
She was going way too fast, the way that Flex wrapped around the tree.
The lady in the other car refused treatment and her passenger left the scene...suspicious
Makes me wonder if the person who left the scene was driving.
God bless you Firemans
Damn... that looks like a tight squeeze for the pilot. Kudos.
She'll Never be the same. Tree vs car-Tree Wins every time. Drive safe folks!!. Great work to the Emergency Crew. And to the ones who picked me up off the road when a Big Semi Truck slammed into me. Was in Hospital 4 days unconscious (Yuma Arizona) They didn't do a Damn thing for me.
Update plz
Burning pain is for days, I would rather be sedated while I heal plus the smoke inhalation will damage your lungs. What a nightmare, I hope it wasn't that severe .
Great job!
FIREMEN ARE AWESOME . I HOPE THE BEST FOR HER. PRAYERS.
Any news as to if this poor woman survived?
7:47 At first I thought it was a drone, it’s a helicopter 🚁
I hope she survived and recovered well....I have driven a Ford Flex like the one here .....let me say one thing. The a pillar b pillar. C pillar all of them are as thick as that damn tree they hit. No wonder it took a while to get the roof off. They needed a damn steel saw.
Ohh...broken pelvis, severely burned and air lifted while the other left unscaved ...sorry bad luck
That car was wrapped around that tree geez 🙏🏿
Yes, the speed they were travelling must have been insane. Can never understand why people drive fast.
My God 😞
🙏🙏😖
I thought this was a body recovery!
Questions: Who is on a technical rescue team? Who decides on helicopter transport?
Who decides which fireman does certain tasks, like electric tools, taking victim out of car, administering medical aid, etc.
Who is Miramar?
I know someone "out there" can explain. Thanks.
Miramar is a neighborhood in the City of San Diego. The technical rescue team handles rescues that are more difficult than the average trapped motorist, and they can be called to scenes that go beyond car accidents such as building collapses or any other confined space rescue. They are equipped and trained with tools and equipment that go beyond typical fire department training. As for who assigns tasks at the scene, typically, the captain will make the assignments en route to a scene, if they are not already predetermined. Once at the scene, the captain, or whoever is the incident commander, will call for a helicopter transport, but it is typically based on the opinion of the firefighter paramedic(s) assessing the victim.
@@TheMaleficent1 thank you so much for the fast reply. I knew someone would tell me the answers. This is one of the few ways the average citizen learns about our great first responders and their ways and methods.
Miramar is the spin off r & b music band of Shalamar from the 1980's.....
Schade, dass die Videos wenig Licht haben, auch wenn Nacht ist, brauchen Sie denn kein Licht?
Burn unit?
Where's the ambulance???
9:06
It was there. They put her in it and took her out to get her in the chopper. Open your eyes.
Life flight cost $20,000.00 these days.
What's that?
@@hellosweetheart3350 ..Flight for Life....helicopter
And life is priceless
Try $45,000.
Public works should put tree guards to soften the impact of crashing cars.
😂What about slow down and pay attention?
I know I said we should all be tree huggers, but this is a whole new level of tree hugging!!!
Mmm smells like bacon
angel tsuki No it doesn’t. And it stays with you a very long time...
