Glad you mentioned that you had worked on it for a long time to get proficient. You make it look easy but in a real world security application under limited time, stress and other security elements it looks like the MT5 technology definately slows down the picking process.
Great to see you get it on film finally HT!! A well designed and high tolerance lock doesn't need security pins to put up a good fight, awesome picking.
Holy Santa Maria! So you picked a Mul-T-Lock MT5, thats impresseeve! I'm just glad you're perhaps the worlds best lock picker doing this as I've just bought a Mul-T-Lock MT5+ Scandinavian Oval for my Abus 83CS/80. They ain't cheap! I'd hate to think that it _is_ pickable after-all and I've been suckered by ninja sales hype. Nah, its still unpickable its just a few top lockpickers in the world, like you, who can do this, so, I'm still chilled knowing my mighty "Rock" is still a pretty secure sonbitch.😎😊
+Brian Hignett Thanks. They are significantly harder than the Interactive and Classic... the precision required in pick placement is unlike anything I've picked in the past.
As a homeowner whose trying to improve his home security, I find these types of videos at the same time both fascinating and depressing. Are there any domestic locks that afford decent protection?
+Potti314 I can't begin to tell you how strange it is... this lock gave me trouble for so long, then all of the sudden, I owned it. It's a good feeling.
Thank you very much for the excellent content. I see the key without a channel, is it possible to open a cylinder of this type when there is a channel? Thanks
Thanks... if you liked this, you will like the MT5+, the version with the sliders and sidebar added on. See my videos 249, 250, 270 & 281 for that lock. :-)
+OUR REALITY 1119 Thanks... I made it myself out of billet aluminum. FWIW, I understand that l0ckcr4ck3r might start making something similar for sale soon. Being familiar with his machining work, I'm sure her will do an awesome job.
Awesome video Thanks. I'd love to be able to pick one an MTL. I'm curious to know how can you tell when you're picking an inner or outer pin? And when using the flag pick do you attack from the same direction always??
+CopLock Thanks. I have the 4/8 pin MTL set aside for your package, so you will get a chance to try them soon. That's a really good beginner MTL. What do you mean "attack from the same direction"?
Thanks again! I meant do you always slide the pick in from the same direction/angle? I saw you using a left flag pick?? and you were sliding it down the right side of the core. I think
I need help with a mult lock key says m2 9 MT5 has sliders or something, I only have a photo my friend has it for me when I am ready. I just got my souber Mul-t-Lock kit but don't know about the sliders. can you help?
Hi guys Congratulations on the great video is very good. I'm going to need to change the cylinder of my door, in your opinion which is the hardest picking? congrats
It's crazy, I can open my MT5 rather quickly clockwise, and the alpha spring seem to be the first pin to set before all the others. I can't pick the lock counterclockwise whatever I try. I can't set the alpha spring first cause it's not binding and stay springy. So I pick all the outerpins first, then I'm stuck... No feedback... I'm Trying to set the alpha spring chamber after the outer pins but no dice... I don't know what gets me stuck. Is there a trick I'm missing ? Thx
have some questions about those pins. does the narrow part of the top pins fit down inside the bottom pins? it looks like inner bottom pins have different depth cuts on the top of them I'm thinking to go further into outer bottom pins. the outer bottom pins have a reduced diameter at different depths what are those for?
+Chris Ahrens The driver pins are telescoping and (in addition to the driver assembly being spring loaded), the inner pin is separately spring loaded. The key pins are telescoping as well. As such, the inner driver can fit into outer key pin, and the inner key pin can fit into the outer driver. That means that the inner and outer pin need to be separately raised to the shear line. As for the reduced diameter... that's common in dimple locks and keeps the key pins from falling too far into the keyway. I hope that helps.
I have a padlock with euro profile. and im a very very newbie in this lock thingy.. Can i replace the cylinder with any euro cylinder? And also would be the euro cylinder from my door house same with this padlock? thanks
I was cut off and I'm sorry for the great length I have been writing but it amounts to this, what if anything can I use that will keep my things or my locks from being picked CAN I possibly use as at this point I'm broke, looking in NY whether Brooklyn NY for a storage facility to protect my belongings but I need a lock or a something to put on my door to keep it from being opened. Does this exist, what is it, how do I get it, please help me I need to go see Dr. And get test to see exactly what's doing this if it's not my lungs what is it where is it can I survive I'm just not ready to go I know I have not experience joy, that's my greatest reason for not wanting to leave here yet, it's been an awful time and I think you know what I mean....please help me. I've had a serious amount of difficulty with my face face and and yet I pray that I survive this and inventions I want that to be mine, and I wanted a fabulous balance of my life
You can reach me at (718) 427-5799 or email me at RoeMBo124@outlook.com The last locksmith who rekeyed the same ( old one, not even the 5. With the spring which I just saw a video deeming it just as useless, but they are going to take me To court for payment of $942,00 and they picked the lock entered and took my last $9400.00
If you want something more pick resistant than a MTL, try an Abloy Protec or EVVA MCS. they are expensive, but about as secure as you can get right now. Good luck -- sounds like you can use some.
+OUR REALITY 1119 l0ckcr4ck3r is the screen name (on UA-cam and Keypicking.com) of a guy from North Carolina. He does some of the best lock cutaways around. He's also the guy who lent me the MTL in this video. If he does end up making them, He'll probably announce it on keypicking. If you are getting into picking, I'd recommend joining up there anyway.
Can anyone provide a source for the Multi-Lock MT5+ European cylinder that can replace the standard core in a KASP 19070x padlock? I believe the KASP has a 30mm cylinder. This exchange has been recommended by both the LPL and Bosianbill.
+Rashed Mohammed Thanks. Sorry, but the answer is "practice." I know that's not what you were looking for, but that's the truth. Every time you see me open a lock quickly, know that is the result of hundreds (many thousands) of hours of practice.
Glad you mentioned that you had worked on it for a long time to get proficient. You make it look easy but in a real world security application under limited time, stress and other security elements it looks like the MT5 technology definately slows down the picking process.

+l0ckcr4ck3r Thanks, and thanks for letting me play with your lock! It was great fun, and a learning experience.
Excellent work! Congrats on the opening!
+LockMan28 Thank you.

brilliant picking as usual. looks like a nightmare pick! well done!!
+tonyholt90 THanks.
Hi Harry, We are seeing the MT5 Down under now. I have in fact picked one, but no where near as quick as yourself. Well done as usual. Regards, Brian.
I’d spend your security dollars reinforcing door frames and hinges, putting security film on windows, etc. thieves don’t pick.
Thanks for your advice. 'Forewarned is Forearmed' springs to mind!! Kindest regards, Peter A
Fantastic picking. I hope the day comes for me as well that I wake up an pick the hardest lock like you did pick the MT5 ;-)
+Potti314 I can't begin to tell you how strange it is... this lock gave me trouble for so long, then all of the sudden, I owned it. It's a good feeling.
You probably get this question a few times a day but can you recommend a good euro cylinder.
Awesome picking mate, really enjoy the video.
Thanks for sharing ;-)))
+Tallan Pick Thanks.

This video belongs in the masochism channel. ;-) Your skills are awesome.
+dirk LOL. THanks.
Well done. I picked my first mt5. Next mt5+. Some mul t locks are easy than others to pick. 1year pickingye ha. Love the vids
Thanks... I've not had much luck with the mt5+... a few random opens, but I'm convinced they are mostly due to chance!
When are you finally prepared to explain how to pick inner and outer pins? I asked it already several times!
Very nicely done
+charles philippe Thanks.
Great job picking brother
Where did you get your parts tray from ? , it's the best one I've seen .. thanks ..

Nice pick. Which set of picks are you using?
+Mitchell Sobol Thanks. In this video, I'm using a SpooXe pick... essentially a commercially modified Goso.
where did you get that tension wrench?
That came out of a really crappy HUK dimple pick set... but the tension wrench one of my favorites for dimple locks
I need help with a mult lock key says m2 9 MT5 has sliders or something, I only have a photo my friend has it for me when I am ready. I just got my souber Mul-t-Lock kit but don't know about the sliders. can you help?
You have an MT5+. They are VERY HARD. I'd take the sliders and sidebar (bottombar?) out and master the pins before attempting to do both at once.
Which one is more secure, Interactive Plus or MT5 ?
Hi guys
Congratulations on the great video is very good.
I'm going to need to change the cylinder of my door, in your opinion which is the hardest picking?
congrats
I lock myself out today, hired a locksmith pick it open.....25-30mins in now and still he has not opened it.....
It's crazy, I can open my MT5 rather quickly clockwise, and the alpha spring seem to be the first pin to set before all the others. I can't pick the lock counterclockwise whatever I try. +LockPickingLawyer thank you that helps. great job picking it
damn...great job!
+Jeff Moss Thanks.
thank you , I picked many lock but I can't pick lock at the pic
and I have southhord instruments, Is it working with that's lock (at the pic)?
+Rashed Mohammed I'm not sure exactly what you are asking, but SouthOrd generally makes quality picks, and you shouldn't have any problem with them.
This or a ultion, which one would you buy?
Would it be worth investing in this cylinder?
wheres the sidebar (snake) ?
This is an MT5, not the MT5+ ... to see the MT5+ with the sliders and sidebar, see my video numbers 249, 250 & 281.
LockPickingLawyer o thanks a lot!!
I wonder if he still finds this challenging.

@@PWRFLROE Hey, Did you ever see his other video about pickproofing? ua-cam.com/video/7JlgKCUqzA0/v-deo.html
Hello harry. Just put my mt5 on youtube . Picked it. but messy gutting .coz iam new to gutting locks. Do you want to trade mine for yours...jon
Congrats on picking the MT5. Sorry, but the MT5 I picked was on loan -- I've since returned it.
What is 10ckcr4ck3r ? , I don't understand ...

LockPickingLawyer Thank you for the reply . I'm getting into picking because it's clean .. LOL ..
No side bar?
No, this is the MT5, not the MT5+. For the MT5+ with the sliders and sidebar, see my videos #249, 250, 270, and 281.

Подскажи пожалуйста, сначала нужно верхние или нижние пины прочесывать? У меня такой же мт5 что не получается!! За раннее , Плиз’’.

MT5+ has sliders and a sidebar. I’ve pick at least 4 of them on this channel. 👍
