This is the best video I’ve seen so far on how to do it yourself! Every other video I’ve seen they just take some random part of hair and do it. You actually sectioned your hair off an even made extensions I have so much more of an idea of how to do this now!

Ive never seen anybody add an extension at the end of the shaft so that it actually becomes part of the loc there. Ive tried using a crochet hook just to tidy up existing locs or try to add new growth to a loc and I CANNOT get the hang of it. Ive had dreadlocks for almost a decade now... over the years ive had a few rip out from a thin point in the loc and held on to them hoping id find a proper way to reattach them😭 if theres any videos you have that further explain how to use the crochet hook properly id much appreciate a point in the right direction. Much love❤
I have been watching u for years and myself always wanted a half head of dreads. I bleach my own hair and been many colours and over 10 years I've gotten good, and when my hair grows i plan on copying everything u have done except the fringe.

Ever get super numb fingertips from crocheting so much? Lmao. Also, maybe slightly shorter dreads in the rows you plan on doing? Will give a layered effect and make your hair seem generally thicker! Love watching your hair journey. Ya beautie

When the dreads are made take out the bands. They only to hold the sections :)

You can brush them out. I'm now on my 3rd set of dreads and got my hair back to normal every time :)

oh yes! dreads work amazing with curly hair, you can even extend them for extra length with curly hair extensions to match aswell! :)
