Did you ever think about doing vlogs while doing your daily runs? Il love it and iam sure others will do
"I managed to tie it up with a cable tie"
(Readjustable) cable ties are the single most useful piece of equipment a driver can carry. Saved my bacon so many times.
and there's the evidence 4:28
Agreed. I’m a engineer not even a HGV driver and you wouldn’t believe how many times those things have got me out of the s#*t!
Scanias are such amazing trucks, wish we had them here in the states..
I would take a American truck for room but the high ceiling of European trucks are kind of nice I think. I wish Scania come to the US one day. I think there still is a niche market for cabovers in some areas. Especially companies that regularly drive in compact areas such as large cities.
@@DontUputThatEvilOnMe Scania did sell their trucks in the US for a short time between 1985-1992.
@@DontUputThatEvilOnMe I think they'd be very popular for either city deliveries and/or very heavy haulers. Over here, in Sweden the only brands used for lumber, excavation or transport of heavy machinery, is Scania or Volvo. You'll never see an Iveco or Daf hauling lumber, nor with a hook behind the cab for asphalt tubs and gravel beds. I've ever only seen one MAN lumber truck and it was a TGX-35-640. If you need power, Scania and Volvo will always have what you need.
After the Actros, The R is my favourite truck of all time. So envious you get to spend every day in one of these :)
Same!
That is a beast of an engine Stavros...!!! 💪🚛
SCANIA - Awsome engineering..love it
Your videos are very dynamic and its good to see a very original v8 like this, congrats from Brazil !!

Best truck review channel so far
I don´t even have a commercial driver's license, and don´t know much about trucks, but I watch your videos before I go to bed, because they are so relaxing and make me tired lol. Anyway peace and have a nice day Stavros.
Great video! Cheers from Finland!
nice ride Stavros, I like it. 👍
I like the table! wish we had those over here, I'd love to give one of those things a drive some day never been in a cabover
Stavros I'm loving your truck I prefer that type of truck to my one even soldered new Scania V8 s730 series is good I still have the old Scania pal
really nice truck my friend. I like the silver and blue. Love the originality also.
I to have an enormous dipstick! Great video as always. I miss driving Scania's I find the indicater noise strangely soothing!
Me to and when I'm in a taxi or ok the bus love the indicator sound lol
You have a realy nice truck stavros with a lot of power 💪💪👍
I really love your UA-cam channel ....I watch the video every day....
Nice looking prime mover. Less (bling) is always more when it comes to a working vehicle. I've had a chance to do a days work in a new shape R500 and you're correct, the auto shift has been quickened up quite a bit, (and the steering lightened). Where I live in SE Queensland, Australia, the G500 is becoming very popular and I see more of them on the road as the weeks go by.
I knew a driver once upon a time, the dipstick wouldn't reach the oil so he got a longer one😂. Nice truck Stavros👍
jeeeeeeeeeeeesus, that thing is spotless inside, and it's a 14 plate :O the 58 plates that i saw in my company are disgusting inside, even the rental 19 plate we had for 2 weeks. very very nice done keeping it clean
I'll keep an eye out for ya on the road...if your passing through Gort, i'll give ya a wave....Keep on Trucking....
For a 2014 the truck still looks good and sounds great.
Stavros . You're getting ready for your new truck , I reckon .!!!
Great Video It would be great to see a day in the life of you working
Hey Stavros, really great to finally see your daily truck! Also I noticed you have a Monaco plate in the windshield, have you ever driven your truck there? What's the longest journey you've made?
Nice video👍
Awesome Truck like Scania...
Awesome video
Nice to see your daily drive mate...
I really enjoy your content, always well delivered & edited...
Hope you don't mind me asking but what cameras do you use?
Btw, Cable ties have got me out of trouble many a time... 😊👍
Always cool to see the Euro trucks! We definitely need to do a comparison/collaboration video sometime!!!
Nice video mate i loved it my favourite truck is scania. Also i like volvo fh16 tough competition between 2 i am a class2 driver atm but in next few months i will be taking class1 under me belt and join the big boys gang. Keep up the good job and video wish you good luck in future
@scaniaman2006 R620 thanls
Once again nice video Stavros! For 600K miles! that is one mint truck, gold in Africa.
I had a Scania 124L 420 HP DC 12 with Electronic diesel control 6 by 2 tag axle..3 over 3 gearbox GRS 900
Very hardy engines these ones, easily clocking 2M kilometres
Lots of appreciation from Kenya!.
Kindly do a video of an Actros 2544/2546 Mp3...or the Actros 2545 Mp4 full auto straight 6 engine please
Interesting to see your office
nice to see on road
I was thinking of post poning this, until I saw the daily driver...
So you really got me curious on this very... "Mundane" truck :D
Decent motor there Stavros. You take good care of your truck. Never been a fan of the forklift type steering wheel gizmo. Great video.
what you mean his steering wheel spinner knob? They're great if you do a lot of low speed maneuvering but really and truly shouldn't be used at road speeds for safety reasons. We have one on our old JD tractor and it is great for that kind of purpose. Also have one on my pickup since I carry mail in that truck and have to reach across from the passenger side to the driver side to steer. Makes that kind of work much easier. Would never use one while operating in normal conditions though
i like youre videos.. you are good man
Awsome vid stavros and i like your truck👍
Hey hi Stavros, like the videos, how about coming down to Australia come and see, test drive what we do .. Roadtrain type 1 and triple Roadtrain over 120t love to have you do a video down under in the outback 😁
Nice and clean R560. Stravos i like too see a video about a Volvo F16 from the late 80,s or early 90,s
CHEERS!!!!!
Enjoy watching your youtube channel. I feel like want to change my job to be a truck driver like you^^
R560 driver here to✌️ 8" double stacks and a straight pipe make it purr pretty awesome
I spotted you today pulled in at j14 👍👍
Jesus stav 1500 lts you have never to fill up in ira with them tanks . Good vid as always
beautifull video /// great
R 560..... Ottimo camion
Heading for cork direction
You can also use that bottom step on the front as a bench
Good day Stavros. Nice truck bro, ya keep her well. Have a good one. Respct.
I drive a Volvo B7RLE (bus) 7litre engine. Gets about 6-7mpg round town. Only 270bhp. Same thing with the retarder though. Coming down a bumpy hill and it will kill the retarder. Gives you a bit of a surprise sometimes because you have to get on the brakes!
Cool truck you drive😊 Im planning to take truck licence this year. Looking forward to drive trucks😊 / Mattias from sweden.
Lycka till😁

Nice truck Stavros. It’s a pity you can’t bring the phone book up in the cluster if you have a Premium Radio. Seems you can with the smaller radios with Bluetooth.
Hi Stavropol, liked review of the truck. Does this engine consume oil? In how many kilometres do you change oil?
Love it
Currently driving a '12 Volvo FH 500 tipping truck (mass transport for concrete factories) and came from a company running Scania 450s ('12 and newer)(grocery distribution locally) and seeing this one really made me miss the Scanias...
From the last generation of trucks, Scanias just have a nicer instrument panel and buttons. The '12 volvo's buttons looks like they're made for a toy. I realize they're easy to read and so they're good for fast operation, but I still think they look stupid.
Absolutely agree, forget anything with a manual gearbox 🤣
Stavros great vlogs why not stick a cb in the daily would make it more fun on the road
Channel 19
Hello Stavros and greetings from Trinidad, WI. Thoroughly enjoy your videos.
At 11:50, you note that the v8 isn’t quite what she once was. For a relatively derated engine, is this normal, especially after less than 375,000miles and no abnormally heavy hauls?
All the best, do keep safe.
Great video as usual stavros. I have to disagree with you on the gearbox choice. Much prefer a manual gearbox myself
How do you find the time to do so many vids while holding down a full time job. We will be stavros spotting from now on.
Hey Stavros, great channel sir. I am curious... Do you get and shoulder drop on those super singles? More than you would on a standard Tyre?
I drive 385/55r22.5 tires in the front and I can tell you that you'll have just as many shoulder drops as with 315/70r22.5, regular tires, but it makes the truck more stable and you'll generally have to make fewer corrections. They are more expensive, though, so that's a trade-off. But one well worth it.
It’s not how long your dipstick is that matters. It’s how you use it.
The issue with the retarder going off is a safety thing thats tied into the anit lock brakes and stability control. When you hit a big enough bump with the retarder or engine brake on, and especially when wet pavement, the wheel will skid since it drastically slowed down from losing grip or even road contact for that brief moment. So the truck senses that and kills the retarder or engine brake to prevent a skid or jack knife. I know our american trucks will do that and I believe for us its tied with the ABS system.
Morning Stavros nice job done to your Truck looking sweet 👍What kind of powder is that in your fridge Stav? 🤣 🤣

Cool! Is that your truck??
6 years of not removing plastic, dang you have more dedication than me, an Asian.
Great video Stavros What’s your opinion on the new Volvo’s?
Aron Doogan I’ve yet to check it out in the flesh
Are steering knobs legal there? In Finland they are illegal but quite many uses them
can i ask, what program you use to edit your videos :) ?
Do u do many nights out mate. Lovely truck.
so which of the storms we've gotten recently were you driving through?
About the retarder and the bumps it must be the abs, my r480 did the same and i notised it used to do it in the wet conditions. When it got slipery and the wheels started to lock up it desabled the retarder
yep I agree, I used to have this issue regularly when I was still at work, on rough roads or in wet conditions the ABS sensed lock up and disengaged the retarder
What truck were you driving before this one?
Nice Truck Stavros, which truck do you prefer, the new generation or the older R Series Scanias ??
Cooldudejoe2006 personally I think that the older R series looks better from the outside but I much prefer the interior of the new gen R series
@@calum2403 to me the new gen R look better both inside and out
What is your daily truck run for delivering or is it just random
Any chance off you getting it straight piped
Which is the best truck out there
A straight 6 is never better than a V8 Stavros..... 😂
R u goin to dunnganon truck run at Granville Sunday 5april
Damn your truck was easy started, i work at a scania dealer/workshop in norway, and most of the scania trucks that are older than 2016 are much harder to get going
@@omursaraslan6316 yeah, they are the most reliable trucks on the market but the glowplugs get old and then they are harder to start, and it also is a bit colder here in norway
@@johannesaas8891 Glowplugs on a truck engine?
What’s that filler cap under the passenger door for?
id say youll get the new s series .
v8 doing 89ks 🙈 my r450 17 plate does 93ks but its a lovely 4x2 mines 10.2mpgs over the last 60k miles
What rear tire are you using?
Hie have you ever faced a brake down with your truck
what is the maximum payload can be train by this truck?
I thought you drove a old commar or Bedford LOL
Do you also have a open pipe switch?
ILikeGames No, completely stock
I'm your great fan from Iran hope you buy a new generation of scania
I have questions is your truck limited means you cant go faster than 89?
@scaniaman2006 R620 so as you say trucks are limited and drivers can't go faster than that
@scaniaman2006 R620 as you know im from iran and in iran trucks and cars are the same i mean even truck can go more than 90 km but most of the time they go around 100 to 110 so its little hard for me to think about European trucks are limited
Why you have cover your plates?
