Hi Stavros, every week I watch your videos I like that you always have something new to show us.Good luck for your new truck.I love the sound of the V8 . Thanks Paul from Malta Cheers
The sound of that V8 is what got me hooked on Scanias... When I grew up we lived not too long from the highway E4 south of Stockholm. I remember vividly lying awake at night, listening to those behemoth Scania V8s struggling up the hill... That sound was heaven to me. Nice video Stavros! I'm 100% convinced you'll love driving that 580S 👍🏼
As an American man who has worked with commercial trucks, but never driven them; if Scania was allowed to see trucks in the US, our domestic manufacturers would really need to upgrade their trucks. The economy of space is fantastically utilized in these Scanias while the systems seem to be much more advanced in comparison. I recognize this would result in much greater complexity of repairs as well as the frequency of repairs, but the benefits would outweigh the problems.
how you figure? The top end models of the trucks over here are just as nice and have just as many bells and whistles. Obviously fleets don't buy them though
What a beautiful truck. It’s amazing some of the new features on these S series trucks. The last scania I drove was an almost new 144 (so had the almost flat floor). I last drove nearly 15 years ago. Still miss the driving.
Nice video. Your SCANIA S reminds me back to last thursday when I drove with my neighbour in his new generation SCANIA G370. Next week we get from his company the SCANIA R450 new generation.
Good morning Stavros, I hope you are well. That's an awesome truck that you have there, with so many home comforts and technology to make your job more easier and pleasurable. *You'll have to get a nice pair of slippers to wear in the truck, just to round off the experience. Good luck to you and have a nice week ahead!! 🍀 🙂👍
Stavros check, Scania V8 Check, test-drive check. A beautiful video with a great truck. The most simple and no nonsense dashboard with all the controls at hand and easy to read instruments cluster.
Best of luck with the new Scania hope it brings you and Rory Lynch a long life and a bring a lot of safe miles to Rory Lynch transport business stay safe Stavros ,
Nice to see you out and about in your new baby. Thanks for showing how the retarder works, I've often wondered how it works. It's was about 26 years ago when I last drove a truck, the only thing we had to keep your drink cool was a bottle bracket on the mirror arm. Good luck with her. Till the next video cheers.
Hay. I am watching your videos here in USA. Thanks for the great tour. What a well designed and executed truck. It makes the trucks here look hillbilly primitive. So much technology and attentions to details that makes the driving enjoyable and safe. I love the cabover looks of the European counterpart over the long nose ones here. What an elegant rig. The cab is nicer than any of my vehicles', including my Porsche GT4. Congratulations. Does this lorry have disc brakes at the front?
Great video Stavros! Many happy years motoring in a machine like that! Give us an update after a few months on what are your likes and dislikes with this specific truck, what would you improve, and so on. Cheers!
I am not a driver at all but I love the enthusiasm you put into every video and I never knew these trucks had so much gadgets and hide-holes lol, awesome videos buddy :D Also love how you get distracted by that aeroplane and stuff just great :D
And one little girl wasn't convinced in one of Stavros videos that the Renault premium was the Pride of the fleet 😅😅😅I loved that truck run for Katie.. Cheers Stavors 👍👍
G'day mate, Your description of trucks is second to none, a bloke or woman would be a mug not to view your video's before deciding on the trucks that you've covered for most jobs. Good on ya mate.👍
Nice video Stavros I hope the trailer too had a reversing cam so when we connect the trailer to truck the camera would switch from fifth wheel mode to trailer mode. thanks.
I hope my boss would give me one of those beauties some day! But first i've gotta finish my school and get my drivinglicenses. Can't wait to drive one of those some day
See sticking in the one firm pays off and looking after the truck as well great looking truck,, yer know you'll have years of good quality driving ahead
The higher the number set on the fridge, the coltder it is so if you gonna have water set at number 10, after some time you will get a big ice cube :))
nice vid Stavros this a beautiful truck and south africa launched the truck series last year and it looks bloody cool. Shoutout from durban south africa
About the V8 I was working on Scania_Vabis in Södertälje at the time they started with the V8, I was in the workshop that corrected and fixed the foults on the trucks before delivering them! //C
Must admit for the 1st that I’m liking this new scania design, cool manual top deflector operation getting the best aerodynamics. Let’s hope you get better mpg than your last rig 👍🏻
The most important part was when you mentioned, no EGR, only SCR. With the dramatic improvements in combustion recently, I wish the manufacturers would drop it entirely and go only SCR. I’ll gladly consume more DEF, AdBlue as you guys call it, for a more reliable engine.
I work in a truckingcompany in norway, and we have about 6 scania R580 tipper trucks, and they just have so many more buttons than your S580. It's almost as i get confused when i drive. But as always, great vido
A lovely truck! Please make some videos in the future, want to know your opinion how it behaves with load. Have seen videos about S440, so at 90 km speed it had 1050 rpm and it was not enough to pull at 12th gear with load, so it causes gear shifting down to 11th and as a result high fuel consumption. Right axle ratio is very important especially at hilly areas
Enjoy your new truck, hopefully it will make life as a trucker less stressful. I Enjoy your videos and enthusiasm. How do you manage to be in such good form all the time?
Thanks for joining me this Sunday morning, welcome to the latest addition to our fleet at Rory Lynch Transport
Is this your new truck

Freightliner, volvo etc are slowly catching up to todays tech and specs with new 2022 models getting disk brakes standard and front air suspension.
enjoying trips down Irish roads always fancied driving a modern truck from a 81year old
ex mobile crane driver
This truck seems so light years ahead of anything we have in the USA. Thanks again for the video stavros.

Never drove a cab over, the flat nose must be more maneuverable in tight places!
At least one guy brings trucks on UA-cam. Very good Stavros. I still love vintage scanias
Good morning Stavros, I hope you are well.

Never seen ya smile so much Stavros! Great video. Beautiful new 560. Best of luck with her. May the road rise to meet her.
It doesnt have any bulbs because everything is in LED technology
Good point!
I love the look of LEDs. Buuuut here in arctic climate the snow won't melt. Meaning its practicly trash during night runs in the winter.

I wish i could have one here in Canada. I miss my Scania from 20 plus years ago.
Do you not have them in Canada? I know Volvos are big over there.

All European trucks have disc brakes all around since the 90's..
