That's a cool tunnel. It looks like they didn't waste any time building perfect straight walls and / or applying covers, kinda looks like a machine just plowed through the mountain and they slapped some lights on the ceiling :D
It gives it an awesome "WWII bunker in a movie"/"bond villain hideout" look that I just cannot get over. Like the very stark contrast between the natural walls of the tunnel and the really nice, clean-looking road just gives it such a cool look.
Most tunnels in Norway I know of have this rough finish. The tunnels are pretty expensive as is, there’s no point to paying a lot of money for smooth concrete walls only for good looks. It’s another thing when additional structural stability is needed and you have to build concrete walls, then they’ll be nice and smooth.
Impressive in many ways. Smooth, quiet, commanding view of the twisty, wet and super narrow road. This style of truck has almost disappeared from the USA and have been replaced by stretched frame tractors with massive sleeping cabins and long engine noses. Really incredible you did not meet any oncoming truck as you was crossing the bridge under construction. The fact that its also an automatic.. very cool indeed. I still encounter some very narrow streets and awkward turns even for my own little hatchback, so have massive respect for those that drive bigger vehicles such as lorry drivers, who have to do all the training to safely control these massive rigs that would be incredibly dangerous in the hands of an ordinary person, and parcel couriers, who are expected to deliver 100+ parcels a day in their big vans, even if some recipients are out in the sticks down some narrow country lane!
