    Odd as it might sound, double bass drumming was actually pioneered by a jazz drummer named Louie Bellson who played with such bandleaders as Tommy Dorsey and Duke Ellington.

      Harrison Myers Yes Louie came on with those two bass drums and it was pretty much a new era Louie was unbelievable in his jazz playing and well then there’s Buddy Rich who in reality no one was in his league But look what double bass has become today probably thanks to Louie Belson

      Another odd fact: there is lots of jazz songs that feature a predecessor to blast beats in the solos before metal used them.

    Just upgraded to the new speed cobra from an old and cheap sonor double pedal. And i have to say! From struggling to play fast on the sonor, i blow my own mind of how fast i can play now with the speed cobra. Not cheap, but it's worth it, and it'll last you for maaaaaany years.

    • @cansavaryego7193
      @cansavaryego7193 7 років тому +2

      Raihan Rosli The cam shapes are different which affects the feel
      The rolling glide has a fully circular cam which makes it feel even through out the stroke and more of s traditional feel lets say
      The power glide has a more angular cam which makes it more powerful hitting pedal

    I play a single pedal most of My Life and I went to the music store to order a double pedal forget which one exactly. I think it's the iron Cobra Around $300. I went through 3 returns until I gave up because All the parts were screwed in so tight I couldn't set the pedal to the correct positioning.. I have the single pedal which is fine Can you explain this and have you ever had this happen to you Cause that's a ridiculous problem to deal with..

    the over quality of this pedal I wouldn't say is there in my opinion I have a pair and have a few issues the metal is quite shaved down where I connect the shaft between the 2 pedals making it hard to take it apart and to assemble them and gets worse every time I play alot of shows with my band and its frustrating when I only have so much time to set up and the pedals wont go together because the metal is mangled.. also my right footboard has ALOT of side to side play..keep in mind these are basically new sooo I dunno I am looking into new pedals lastly the spring tension doesnt go tight enough personally for my need anyway I keep it maxed and feels like I have it tensioned like half way

    The speed cobra isn’t the flagship. It is one of them but no better than the iron cobra. Slightly slightly different but the iron cobra is also their flagship pedal. Both of those are Tama‘s top notch pedals. I have both of these newest versions and love them both and are very similar.

What the heck did he just say? Lol. I ain't talkin crap, I'm just saying, it was noticeable, doesn't really matter, I knew what the kit was. But if I was a noob, and was interested in that kit, I be calling around, asking if anyone carries a Senor kit, or a Senower, or whatever he said, and probably wouldn't find one. @@mbj6555 Interesting, I had a quick google for a drum chart and found one that says crotchet=103. Then I timed the opening 4 bars of the original and it's definitely 120bpm before slowing at bar 5. I timed this one as 108. Not arguing either side, songs are often performed faster or slower than the original, and the intro to this video sounded great.

    Strange dynamics: loud cymbals, (in my opinion) a weird, flat sounding snare & very little kick drum, esp. since this is about bass drum pedals. No offence, but there are seperate close mics on the kit, so it should be possible to get a more accurate result. Mabye just use 1 mic for the whole kit and work on your dynamics?...just sayin'.

    Yeah, let's do a bass review with the bass almost completely turned down. And why do the cobras swing so far back? These are the only pedals that have repeatedly hit me in the shins and it's dumb. I don't think a lot of these people understand "extreme metal" those 16th notes he's playing are not extreme. I can literally play them and faster on my pearl eliminators with a single pedal. Extreme metal can be 32nd notes ,64th notes and even higher. I don't get what people see in the cobras and I've tried them repeatedly, just because i keep thinking "well maybe I missed something, people keep talkin g about them" but then... no. No good. We need some Mongeese to kill these cobras.
