RX-8 is a really cool car. It has one of the best interiors, where a guy like me(6'3" tall) can sit behind himself without any problem(unlike in mustang and RX-7 FD, I tried, it hurts), it is very comfortable, but there are lots of chemical agents on the road in winter in Moscow, so I prefer to keep it in a warm place until April, and then have lots of fun. @@connordyck2305 not to mention the automatic in a rotary car is pointless because half the fun is revving that fucker out to 9500 RPM and if I'm not mistaken I'm pretty sure the automatics were programmed to shift at 7,500 rpm
@@Mr_Hillbilly_weeb exactly, the automatics were limited to lower revs because they didn't have a strong enough automatic transmission to let it rev to 9500
>sports car
>automatic transmission
pick one
Especially in car like RX8.
i got my rx8 for like 9k with 93k km with an new rotary ( changed at 88k) and i love this car.. hello from germany
If you want something fun, look for something with lots of after support. The easier it is to work on, the more fun you'll have
Just a quick thing on the rx8, while unreliable but fun. Was not solely a manual. Now the series 2(09-11) was only a 6 port motor paired to a 6sp maual. In series 1 there was a 4 port woth either a 4spd at or a 5spd mt. And the 6 port came woth the 6 spd mt or a 6spd at. Great video tho
I would also add on the Mitsubishi Eclipse (2G and 3G). Very cheap and reliable, look good, motor is very moddable
The 3G isn't really moddable, is it? I mean, you can mount a 4G63 in it since the GS (3G) shares the same or similar mounts but its really expensive as shit.
I'd probably do that to mine if it wasn't all rusted to shit.
Rotary isn't a problem, I keep it in good condition, but with sanctions it's a bit harder than 2 years ago
I remember like 3 or 4 years ago you can find a 350z for 3k here at Washington
i got extremely happy when he mentioned the Solstice lol
we need more solstice fans ngl
Another good daily cars are 2 that I personally own or owned - Acura TL type s and Hyundai Veloster turbo.
3:28 Forza Motorsport 2 was the only Forza I ever played very many years back and I still remember that 350z by heart
Yeah, I love the z!
Brad: The VQ is pretty much bullet proof as long as you don’t turbocharge it.
HiLow: Wanna see us struggle for 4-5 days trying to shove spooly bois into our 350zs?
The 350z is so expensive now 😭it’s like 10k for one that’s has like 150 miles , and it’s 2003
86/BRZ/FRS ALL DAY EVERYDAY.
Had an rx8 loved the car but only problem is got to make sure the you don’t flood the engine
Rx8 as a daily is the worst thing you can do...
Love how you included the RX8, trying to build up the money to buy one of them.
Glad to see the catfish Camaro Z28 on this list, great bang for the buck and cheap to mod 👍 I used to own one, modded it, the LS1 engine is a beast 👌
Rx8s also came in automatic. I am dying to get a manual Rx8. I currently own a mazda Cx7 which looks almost the same from the front
No VW GTI? I love mine. Turbo fun hot hatch. Was less than 3k.
What year?
@@jonah.mcminn 2003 1.8 turbo. Has 150k miles.
@@ericsartanahorner thanks for the response
I’ve had a lot of reliability problems with mine but I have a 2010 gti but I’ve had to put 4K+ into the engine in the past year maybe less
I HAVE WAITED LONG ENOUGH THERE ARE NO VIDS ON THIS SUBJECT 😆😆😆😆
The solstice is timeless the design held up great
I like the consistency between videos, in one you mention to AVOID RX8, and in this one it is a daily driver.
By watching too many Scotty Kilmer videos, I know wouldn’t agree with half this list lol
by working on enough cars I can safely say I don not agree with like 80% of the list
Finally! The Solstice GXP gets its due! I saw one on sale with 40k miles on it and my jaw hit the floor. Such a beautiful car.
My RX-8 was a manual, but they did come in AT too. The AT was downrated in HP. But it was still available in the US.
The 350z has the third highest mortality rate of all cars😬
you missed the frickin amazing car, the toyota's spiritual successor to the ae 86, the gt 86 and brz{ not the new one, that's a gr, which is a pain because it destroyed the idea of a cheap, soft engined, affordable, reliable Japanese small car that you can drive to the college and take drifting and also do amazing lap times.
Both are expensive
i just recently bought a rx8 for 2500 not running but got it running for under $300 fun smooth car
Brad why do you guys never mention the Pontiac G6 GXP in these type of videos? 252 hp V6 in the coupe and sedan. Definitely a fun drive and a lotta bang for your buck on gas
Personally I love the Mazda RX-8 and what I would do to it is shoehorn a LS1 or 2JZ and enjoy the reliability of it with a smile as for the rotary engine I'll sell it before I put it to use
Username checks out
@@pA-yy-A but again where I'm from it's easier and cheaper for me to get one 2JZ and I love the sound of it coming from a Mazda RX-8
just recently got a 2010 rx8 for $7500 and its been so nice
I drive a 1991 Miata that I bought for $4k (w/ 48k miles) featuring a 1.6L engine with a 5 speed trans in silver color. And I gotta say, I am one happy dude.
The Toyota 86/brz/frs should of been on this list
Thing is you can’t get one for under $10000, at least here in California
Should’ve thrown in the Volvo 2015 s60 t6 ( the twin charged one ) sucka’ is fast as hell got plenty of room for the kind of car and has decent gas mileage
Hyundai Genesis coupe is a great choice the 2.0t is just over 200hp and the 3.8 has over 300hp. I got my 2010 3.8 for $8,400 with only 73,000 miles I’ve had no problems with it and it’s a great and fun daily driver very disappointed it wasn’t mentioned in this video this car is heavily slept on and it’s sad
I love this Channel, Even Though I already have a youtube channel about race car// Great Video
The 4.6 new edge mustang is amazing. I still have my first one. The engine lasted 360,000 miles until the tranny gave out. Throw some quality coilovers and 285s in the back and you have a great handling car. All while getting 24 mpg on the freeway. Dont get the auto transmission its a slush box.
Hyundai Genesis Coupes and the older Tiburons are pretty decent bang for buck, and especially Tibbies are really reliable and fun, though not super fast. Makes for a great daily driver and people are practically giving you money to take one 😂
Mustang GT is the most reliable V8 easiest car to work on when warranty goes out.
You are a person of culture I see 😌
@@derrickkmartin4037 Yes I am, and and Ferrari's are the most reliable in Italy 🇮🇹, Aston Martin, and Lotus in Britain 🇬🇧 (I know 2004 Elise, though American 🇺🇸 it is the 5.0, and a proper 6 speed manual transmission. PP2 with Brembo Breaks and the Magneride Suspension, doesn't lean on hard cornering or, dip in hard breaking. ( Like putting 2 positive facing magnets 🧲 together you just can't, and won't bottom out either.
Rx-8's could be had with an automatic from the start. Surprised, your stats are usually correct.
wish you mentioned Audi TT's more, especially the MK1 :(
rx8 is the best option if you have extra cash for an engine swap, k series, ls swap or a 1jz vvti is prefect.
So, I'm 6'6" tall. Which of these cars has the most leg & head room, or is there another you might recommend?
None they all are very small, you could get any of em just need a custom job for the seat like other tall dudes
corvette
definitely not the rx8, i'm 5'10" and barely fit in mine
Welcome back brad 👋
Wankel rotary: LEGENDARY DOESNT MEAN GOOD
I like how he started talking about a high Reving Honda luxury car than showed off a Pontiac
love from India Brad.
‘Not one, but TWO seats’ I found this absolutely hilarious for some reason
11:47 "Quattro awd" 🤣
Bro this cars are amazing😍‼️

the Mazda RX8 would be so beast if the rotary engine was more reliable and didn’t need so much love:((
14:30 @nightride 14:34 the miata isn't beating the MALOO
7th gen Celica GTS. Fun car, easy and cheap to mod, good gas mileage!
14:39 look at that malaprop though
Still have not saw one eagle talon ... ultra cheap and super fun dsm
Subie Forester 2.5 XT is technically a sports car with over 240hp and STI parts work like boltons. Plus u can fit a whole family.
SPORT utility vehicle. SUV for the win.
Vid starts @2:05
Another good cheap sports car is an Mercedes slk230 because on average where I am they are about 8k for a 2000s one which for a sports and a Mercedes is quite good
I'm glad you included two great driver's cars: the Z3 and the 350Z. They are indeed practical as affordable daily drivers.
I would suggest also consider a used 370Z, as the prices on the early year models have come down quite a bit. I ought a 2019 370Z 6MT sport coupe new a few years ago and I can attest to its practicality as a daily driver, its reliability and how much fun it is to drive. After having it for 3 1/2 years now it still puts a smile on my face.
You missed the 86/brz/frs!! Civic, TL, and more!
Find me one for under 10k
Make a video on armored vehicles
I have an 2003 audi tt roadster (manual).. 225 ponys that I enjoy everyday.
