As a ex firefighter, Truck Driver and Snowplow operator. Yellow color bulbs Headlights and or Fog lights does better in fog, or heavy snow than White LEDs. I'm strictly a meat and potatoes gal here on my ranch in Texas. We have quite few F series trucks ourselves. My personal favorite is my new F250 2020 with the big 7. Gas engine. Its very powerful in any pulling situation. Though I use my F450 or F350 for long hauls. But my F250 is a basic work truck. 2 wheel drive. Big power to weight. Lots of room. Its a supercab model. Which for me is roomy enough. I saw no need for a 4x4 or 4 doors or any of those electronic gizmos. None if my trucks are complicated. They're all very powerful and honestly, I'd never ever own or drive anything else.
All I did was purchase a base model F250 Supercab with the big 7. I added my own ranch equipment. You know, headache rack, ranch guard bumper. Fifth wheel and skid plate for under brush. Thats it. I love my truck like no other. Every cowboy ask me about all that equipment. I tell them a lady can never ever have enough equipment! lol

Great video!! I use Fords due to being able to lock everything in the truck and get back in with the keypad on the driver's door... 100's of uses with the keypad... a family member can get in the truck and leave you an item and lock it back, shopping-- others can come out early and not find you for a key.. same with being at the hotel.. or you walk out to check your mail and you can put the mail in your truck with out going inside to get the fob.... have the repair done and have the shop lock it up with your fob in it and you pick it up at 4am before they open... no need to come back when they're open...

Yep. This is what makes these full size trucks worth every penny. They’re one of the biggest tools you’ll own. Treat ‘em right & they’ll serve you a long time. Just remember to replace BOTH fuel filters every 20K miles. It’s an easy job that most folks can knock out in about 30 mins. Just be careful disconnecting the return line for the fuel filter on top of the engine - the connector is very fragile. After you break it (when not if), replace it with a $20 after market aluminum connector (lots of discussion about this on Ford forums).

Trucks now are a long way from my dad's 68 Chevy pickup with 3 on the tree when I was a kid...lol. They are total huge tanks now in comparison - soooo nice! Really like Ford's SUVs too...the dogs usually own the back though, and love the room...

6:15 I think the best thing that ford has and no one else does is the ability to leave your fob inside the truck with the truck idling (dog in it AC or the heat running) and press both bottom buttons on keypad and walk alway. Truck runs locked, and when you come back and want in, you simply enter your code and you’re in! It’s the best for dog owners like me! He goes on all my deliveries and to work every day and I love that my 19 Powerstroke (and all years really) gives us that feature!

I drove a Chevy 3500 for 15 years, wonderful truck. When it finally decided to go to the boneyard,. I shopped around and found a F250 gas version traded it in for a F250 6.7 Lariat and later on I went looking for bigger truck and again shopped Ford, Dodge, and Chevy/ GMC and we decided on the F350 DRW Lariat. I have not had any issues driving the Fords for the past ten years and towing an RV with them. I will say that my daily driver is the GMC Canyon with the BabyMax in it which I love for a daily driver because I average 26 to 29 MPG in it. The wife drives a Jeep which she loves and probably will not drive anything but a Jeep. So it really doesn’t matter on the brand, you have to drive what you like and like what you drive or there is no purpose on spending the money on it.

    1) You can disable the honk using the drivers settings in the gauge cluster, same area as other customizable options such as DRL and the like.
2)Split view camera is a front 180 degree camera, it's there to allow you to see better around corners that you would have a hard time seeing, like exiting a parking lot that has a wall or shrubs.
    3) You can press the unlock button twice then hold it to roll down all the windows. Same in reverse, press lock then hold and it will roll it back up.
    4) the Key Fob shaped hole is for multiple things, most notable to program a new key. It also has a second feature, if the truck has a hard time detecting the key, such as the battery is low, you can place it there to start the truck normally.
    5) The BLIS sensors in the taillights are for an extension to the BLIS to enable trailer BLIS. To enable it you need to access the cluster and add a trailer, mainly by setting the width and length.
    6) with the SYNC 3 system those USB plugs accessible from the drivers seat allows you to mobile mirror your phone through either Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Plugging your phone in wi allow you to access easier versions of most apps like messaging, music and GPS. It will also use the GPS from your phone withGoogle maps, applemaps, or my favorite WAZE.
There are tons of other features as well but I only have a 2019 ranger now but if you have anymore questions feel free to msg me.

For those who use their trucks to carry truck campers, Ford has an auxiliary plug which can be run to a camera on the back of the camper. The same plug can be used to connect to a wired camera on the back of a trailer like a horse trailer or a fifth wheel. I saw this on another person's video and the Ford site. So much to learn about these machines.

The truck won’t lock if you don’t have the key in your pocket and you try to use the black button but the two last buttons on the keypad will lock the key in the truck... The little black button on the handle locks the truck just to let you know, also every brand screws you with the conversion to LED I don’t get it but apparently the factory harness can’t handle the output. Just bring the truck to a HID place or a custom headlight place and they can do it for a few hundred.

Take your extra key fob and place it under the center console rubber insert. Where the storage tray is close to cup holders) That will stop the annoying beeping. I did not see this, sorry if a duplicate. The Key fob can also be sync to the seat memory buttons. Once you set all your positions & memorize it, then To sync your key fob with your memory seats, keep holding the appropriate memory button until you hear the chime twice. As soon as you hear the second chime, press the lock button on your key fob immediately. Now, every time you press the unlock button, your seat will automatically adjust to your preferred settings. This is especially helpful if you make use out of the easy entry and easy exit feature which moves the steering wheel and seat each time you get in and get out of your Ford. I have one setting & my wife has position 2.

I was always a GM guy...until I looked at the F-350 SuperDuty Ford's in 2009. The axles were enough to make me roll the dice on the Ford. The '09 now has over 200k on it, and was only back to the dealer once under warranty. Only oil changes, brakes, and a couple other wear items in over 12 years. Got a '19 F-450 next to tow my toy hauler. Do my own maintenance/oil changes, and never been back to the dealer in 2-years/35k miles. Nothing but oil & fuel filters so far. Still have more than 75% of tread left on the tires! No complaints whatsoever...
I run BFG AT/KO's on the F-350 and my other trucks. Best all purpose tires I've ever run. Wish they had a 19.5" version for the F-450, I'd run 'em on that too! I run a similar Tri-fold on the F-350, and the quad panel Back-Flip on my F-450. The Back--Flip is a bit heavy, but I like that I can fold it all the way open and prop it against the back of the cab to get full bed access without having to take it off. I have only opened the panoramic sunroof on my truck maybe twice. Wouldn't have paid extra for that if I factory ordered it. Adaptive cruise control is awesome. Thing that scares me the most about these trucks is what it's going to cost to fix the electronics if/when they fail!!!

Courtney- I already went down the road you are talking about, for approximately 32 years i have owned Fords F250 or 350's, I jumped ship after dealing with my Ford dealer on my ordered as specified / new F350 that got delayed twice on delivery by 2 months total, needless to say i didn't buy that truck, as i sold my 2013 F350 Lariat privately a week before i was told the new one was to arrive originally.
So i was truck-less.... i came across the new shiny GMC Denali 3500 SRW with the 6.6L Duramax, drove it three times the dealer even let me take it for 2 days, she is a great truck, love the motor & transmission it tows better than the Ford in my opinion, but i am going back to a Ford and here is why.
I am 6-3" 225# and it seems like the GMC has closed in on me over the past couple of years "the cab just feels smaller", as i jumped in a new F350 at work a few months ago i realize the Fords have a ton more room for me.
They both cost a great deal of money they both have the tech i need and like but in the end the Ford has me simply for the room in the cab.
Keep posting the videos they are great and the HLA snowpusher is working great you sold me, since i bought it it has not snowed!

Thanks for your perspective. I own a 2017 F-350, Diesel, SRW, XLT trim. Here's my input:
    1) Probably due to NOT having retracting running boards and/or a proximity sensing key fob to unlock doors, my F350 NEVER HONKS upon closing a door or pressing 'lock' on the key fob.
    2) I thought about getting BLISS until I heard the cost to replace a BLISS taillight - supposedly close to $900
    3) I heard that the shaped slot for a key fob in the storage area is used when programming a new key
    4) I have incandescent lights. They're HORRIBLE, even for incandescents. They're comparable to my '69 Chevy pickup. They are no match to the incandescents on a standard ~2016 Chevy pickup. The light projects poorly and disperses too much. Furthermore even when running low beam, both the upper and lower pair of lights are on. Oncoming traffic sees this and often flash their high beams, thinking that my high beams are on. Given my effort to respect others on the road, it is VERY annoying to be perceived otherwise just because Ford could not get the lighting right with two headlights (and still failed with four) .

Without buying a fleet vehicle I'd like to but a work truck I didn't cringe when someone walked too close to or drive by on a forklift with a thousand bricks on it! F 350 XL Regular cab 4x4 SRW 7.3 Godzilla with a 5 speed manual. Just back from Ford.com. 2020 F 350 XL 4x4 had to go with the 10 speed with the 7.3 gas 4:30.1 locking diffs vinyl and I splurged $130 for mud guards. For the ugliest plain work truck you can expect to pay $41,940. My first new truck in 1984 was $6,000. By 1996 my next truck was a F 150 4x4 Lariat with a 351 HO short bed $16k. I went on for some years finally stopping at 2007 F 150 XLT extra cab 4x4. 3:73.1 limited slip front and rear with tow package $37k. It is almost perfect with 98k miles. EVERY fluid in it has been changed regularly and front and rear diffs and transfer case 3 times transmission twice. Unhooked the lines and filter change both times and I put the high volume oil pump in it so the 5.4 grenade would last. I Tinted the windows bug guard mud guards and put 17" wheels aluminum chrome on it with the factory offset and basically 32" ATs and its pretty. It sits in my shop unless its pulling my boat. Never seen snow. We can talk about my $3500 work truck another time! ;o)

I am sure someone suggested it already but yes you can use forscan and program it to close your windows with key fob, end the double honk but I would recommend putting it in police mode so you have to have the key in the vehicle to engage the transmission. You can also quickly rewire your mirror pins and your mirrors will automatically fold in with when you lock/unlock truck.
I have not installed these yet but many owners recommend these LED's in the link below. I think the dealer says it is a 2 hour install by removing the grill but there's a youtube video showing how you can remove the windshield wiper resavoir and install them without removing the grill.
I sware by the adapative cruise control. I love it and will never buy another vehicle with out. on long trips I just set it and let it brake for me. It would be great if you could program your speed based on gps then you wouldnt have to constantly change your speed when going through small towns and other areas. It would also be nice if your blinker chime would be turned off when you're on a call. Forescan may allow changing this but I havent tried.

That's why I traded it in on a special order 22 F-350 SRW with 3.31 gears, I'm not to fond of the push to start setup, after a month of driving it I'm still trying to pull the key out of the non existent ignition switch.

Yea you can roll the windows up by hitting the button on the door panel for 5 seconds ;) our 2017 king ranch f250 has had nothing but problems from death wobble first 300 miles to the radio literally hasn’t worked since day one. Expensive stuff is nice but you can’t beat an old work truck.

it might have been said already but, i leave my spare key fob in my 2015 f150 at all times. it does two things, keeps the annoying horn from beeping when engine is running and i get out, and keeps the door bell silent when the engine is off and the door is open

Not a smart move to leave a key in the truck. If it's ever stolen, and your truck is recovered with a key in it, any damage claim will likely be denied. As a former insurance adjuster, I can tell you that any insurance claim involving theft of the vehicle will be denied if it becomes known that a key was intentionally left in the vehicle. Check your policy exclusions/limitations. You will find an exception of Claim that says something like this: Insured (you) shall safeguard keys and/or fobs to the vehicle at all times. Keys/fobs shall not be left inside the vehicle and shall be kept in a secure, or locked place to reduce the chance of Theft." Plain-speak is your insurance will deny the claim because you didn't protect the insured 'asset'.

Yes, I agree the horn is annoying. There's nothing like the horn going off when you're leaving somewhere in the early morning!

What you did not mention is the trailer handling by the computers. This is why I bought a Ford. If someone hooks a trailer that is not loaded properly then it handles it. Read 3 sons and my wife.

Yep, FORScan can disable the Double Honk when exiting the truck when the engine is running. FORScan can also enable the other half of Windows Down / Windows Up using the Key FOB. Free as mentioned in other comments.

Joe Dietrich with Forscan you can even make the power fold mirrors work like Lincoln auto fold when you lock the doors and they stay folded until you start the truck

Kenneth Feld it’s also for if the battery on the fob dies, put the key in the spot and it will allow the truck to start

Car thieves know this. Why do you think insurance companies require BOTH sets of fobs to be turned in when writing the Total Loss claim check? If the owner admits the 2nd fob was in the truck, guess who's not getting a check from their insurance???

If you toucch the outside of the handle with the key fob in your pocket, it will lock the truck. I have a 2017 F250 Lariat and LOVE it. The beep thing is a pain when you shut the door for sure. I do the same thing and don't close it til it latches so it doesn't beep.

Just got my 2020 F350 Platinum Jan 15 after having the same truck in a 2019.
The radio program control screens are different on 2020 which is nice since now the presets can have AM or FM or Satellite all the same screen without having to change "Source”.
The heated steering wheel button is NOT on the climate screen anymore but I can see it at the top beside the clock on the home screen.
Having driven it for about 1 month now, it does seem to ride smoother even though this particular truck came with the heavy service front suspension which I really did not want or need.
The steering wheel feels easier to turn to me on the 2020 because it now has an electrohydraulic power steering which Ford needed & uses for the Pro Trailer Backup Assist & improves the truck's steering, giving it lighter effort at lower speeds.
I love that the mirrors now "Auto Fold" as soon as I lock the truck. The headlights also seem to be brighter as I am constantly being flashed for having High Beams on when I am Low Beam. One thing I noticed is that as soon I unlock it, I can hear an electrical humming sound coming from under the hood on the front driver's side. The sound does turn off after a few minutes if I don't start the truck. Just not sure why it makes this sound. Possibly the LED lights coming on from being unlocked? If anyone knows, please let me know.
The 2020 short box also came with 3 inch hitch receiver instead of the 2 1/2 on 2019 short box. The nice thing about the 3 inch receiver hitch is that the holes are bigger & my safety hooks can now fit in the holes. I had to add 3/4 shackles on my 2019 to accept the safety chain hooks. I still have a few 2 inch drawbars so I had to go get a 2 1/2 inch to 2 inch reducing sleeve. My 2020 came with 3 inch to 2 1/2 reducing sleeve. I popped into Ford in Calgary & they GAVE me a CURT 45408 Receiver Reducer sleeves for FREE.
The 2020 F350 Platinum has way more pick up & go than the 2019. Also the 2020 10-speed transmission adds extra driving modes: Slippery, Deep Sand and Snow, and Eco.
The new third-generation 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 now puts out 475 hp and 1050 lb-ft.. It has a new turbo, new internals and a new 36,000-psi fueling system to deliver power; the outgoing 2019 engine was rated for 450 hp and 935 lb-ft.
Another thing i noticed is Ford moved the windshield washer squirters from the hood on the 2019 to the cowl on the 2020.
I put my DEF gauge up in the top right corner beside the Distance to Empty. I have the Turbo Boost gauge beside the Transmission Temp on the gauge view screen.
You will notice it consumes WAY more DEF fluid when you tow. I had to fill it up twice on a 2500 km trip pulling 18,000 lbs cargo trailer from Ontario. It consumes even more DEF when pulling my 5th wheel camper (12,000 LBS) through the mountains between Alberta & BC.
Ford also added a front camera washer on the 2020

I was a Ram guy also. My oldest son had a 2004 Ram 2500 long box & my youngest son had a 2006 Ram 3500 long box & my brother had 2005 Ram 3500 long box.
I was in 2014 Ram 3500 MegaCab with HO 6.7L Cummins® Turbo Diesel with AISIN AS69RC & it was a beast for pulling. I absolutely loved my MegaCab.
Switched to Ford F350 Limited in 2018 when maintenance costs start kicking in on the Ram. I just got the new 2020 F350 Platinum with new PowerStroke Jan 15. The difference between the 2020 & the 2018 is astonishing. The 2020 F350 Platinum has way more pick up & go than the 2018. Also the 2020 10-speed transmission adds extra driving modes: Slippery, Deep Sand and Snow, and Eco. I have been using Eco mode when I am not towing & I've been getting 12.0 litres/100km (equals 19.6 US miles per gallon) on tank of diesel.
The massaging front seats are very soothing on long trips or even in the city sitting at all those red lights. IN MY OPINION, Ram still has a way to go to catch up with Ford on the comfort side of things. The 2020 F350 Platinum has wireless charging now so I don't need the cumbersome cord anymore.
On the Ram, I hated having to go outside & swing up mirrors & re-adjust them all when towing & then switch everything back when not towing.
Yes, I have had quite a few recalls on my 2014 Ram 3500 MegaCab also & some recalls had not been fixed yet when I sold it in 2018. I had buyers for my 2014 Ram 3500 MegaCab in the USA but I could NOT export the truck across the border unless all the recalls were addressed by RAM. Unfortunately, RAM didn't have the parts to remedy all the outstanding recalls so I ended up selling the truck to a fella in BC. My 2020 F350 Platinum has 3.55 electronic locking rear differential. I love the locking feature also. I don’t always need 4 wheel drive. If one rear wheel spins, I pull out the knob & the rear diff is LOCKED.
The Ford F350 only have a lane departure feature (not lane assist) as it does NOT steer the truck back into the lane in any way. The steering wheel starts to vibrate vigorously when the truck crosses any lines to the left or right. It ignores these lines if I activate my turn signal before I to do a lane change so it won't vibrate during lane change. I can set the steering wheel vibration intensity through the settings. I LOVE the adaptive cruise. Adaptive cruise was NOT available at the time on the 2014 RAM. I set the adaptive cruise & forget about it. I can set the distance i want between me & the vehicle ahead of me (i.e 4 car lengths or 10 car lengths) & the truck will keep that distance regardless of the vehicle ahead slows down.
If the vehicle ahead stops, my truck stops on its own maintaining the set distance. When the vehicle ahead moves ahead again, my truck resumes at the preset following distance.
The Ford F350 Platinum also has the collision avoidance feature called PRE-COLLISION ASSIST with AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking).
So if I am driving along manually (not on cruise control mode because the adaptive cruise mode NEVER lets it get to that point) & the vehicle ahead suddenly stops, the truck flashes a red bar in the windshield & warning in dash info display in the console & starts beeping very loudly. I am told it will also apply the brakes but I haven't had it slam the brakes on for me YET as I have always managed to take corrective driving action as soon as it starts to beep loudly.

The only non Ford trucks that I wish I still had would be my 2005 Perterbilt 387 or my 2006 Peterbilt 379. But, when it comes to pickup trucks, Ford has the best and most comfortable seats in the business.
