I really appreciate you guys and your reviews, I knew after watching the Ike Gauntlet videos which pickups would work for me. When I finally decided to buy a pickup to supplement my 1999 Super Duty (We love that pickup and kept it) we knew we had options and started our negotiations with that in mind. We eventually landed on a 2019 F350 and with all the incentives and our company rebates we ended up getting enough off the price to more than cover the Diesel so we decided not to wait for the Godzilla. FYI, I laughed when you said you were in Las Vegas NM...This is one of many locations I travel to in our 4 state region working for my company, its fun to tell my better half "I'm off to Vegas". Stay healthy!
I hauled 2 ton in the bed of my pickup today iv put 3 and half tons befor and it's a f150 2004 heritage 10 gen was badass 4.6 hauls like a champ barley even have to hit the gas only up hills and u dont need overdrive it will get up to speed without it,... it's awesome I love my truck I can put more than a 1 ton dully in weight on my truck I can haul triple the payload it awesome I can just imagine today's when I was driveing how the turbo diesel would be like ,its probably amazing... Lol that 12,000 to 15,000 pounds is a heavy duty truck lol that is nouthing mine has done 13,900 befor driveing 2 and half hour away like a champ weighs 4,600 pounds, and my dad hauls 20,000 a day in his EcoBoost in trash business lol I can honestly say we haul alot on ower f150s and proved they are the toughest truck ... That scrap yard said mine was the biggest load they've ever seen on a half ton lol haha I guess I'm going to have to put heavy duty on mine lol or super f150 lol and 16 mpg isn't bad at all that's great I get that with a straight pipe and about 10,000 pounds that 350 is amazingly ecosport for commenting so much but I love comparing the work I can do . That dully 350 hauling 7,000 is really not alot you need to put like 50,000 on that and see what it does I can do what you guy are doing in my f150 lol I can haul 2 of those tractors and a bob cat ik I can ...might be squatting alot but ik I could do it I'm gonna get more leafspring and better shock soon I'm upgrading ik I could it that 6.7 to 0 to 60 is amazing mine gets like 9 second but I'm gonna make it faster now that I know this I'm starting to realize that heavy duty truck are the same as normal pick ups they just do huge load more efficiently I think that the reason they made the EcoBoost bc my dad has the same power as me but he gets better gas mileage I'm the completely opposite though built to burn fuel and shit so it all the depends on what your doing ,all trucks are great though just what do you exactly want and what your doing with it and we're you do want your money to go in the long run
I would really like to hear an update on your 7.3 Ford F-250 after you get some miles on that motor?? Curious to see if the MPG improved after it broke in a little? Excellent review of the Super Duty
If you're concerned about mpg just buy one and upgrade its fuel tank. There's 60 gallon tanks, 70 gallon tanks. Can go 1000 miles on a single tank in these easy.
I can't wait for you to test the 6.2 10 speed... I'm in the market to buy a new heavy duty truck, either a ram or f-350 and leaning towards the Ford, I have been watching your channel a lot for reviews
I am torn between the 7.3 and the 6.7. Cost, as always, will be the deciding factor, when I buy, as I have seen some good deals on 2500 Ram Cummins, too.
@@richfarfugnuven6308 I'm saying its insane because on the street the truck just roasts the tires with minimal effort. It is too much torque when not hauling a load.
The way I see it if your not towing and hauling too heavy and use the truck for the weekend to take the family on road trips and sometimes use it for work and play get the 6.2/10 speed good power and efficiency, if your towing every day especially heavy or you got a hotshot lifestyle definitely the 6.7 power stroke/10 speed , and if you got dump trucks or snowplow trucks or a business that uses those specific kinds of truck’s definitely get the 7.3 V8 strong and good power but overall it’s just my opinion , but hey get whatever your heart wants
My first car was a Ford truck. 50 years later, I'm still driving a Ford truck. Needless to say, I'm not here looking for advice, just get a kick out of the videos

Az resident here. Looking at an F350 Dually with the 6.7. Id love an F450, but I just cant get past the commercial tires. Super singles would be a fun conversion for a 450, but very pricey. I think the 7.3L would be ok, but it gets HOT here in Phoenix. Trying to tow with gasoline up out of the Valley in the summer for vacay.. yeah I want diesel!

Ford's literature says the 7.3 is not compatible with E85 gas This is a problem in that way too many gas stations only offer E85. Having to visit stations which may or may not have gasoline that's compatible with the 7.3 will be a hassle
7.3 liter: good old pushrod engine would be my choice. I believe that 10 speed auto is a joint venture between Ford and GM so same trans should be available in HD GM trucks as well.
Hey TFL, I recently saw a video, where a guy bought a brand new 2021 F-150 Limited in white. Gorgeous. However 1,000 miles into it he noticed some serious rusting of the differentiate, axle, and most of "VITAL" components of the truck. Can you do a video addressing that? I was thinking of buying one till I saw that.
TFL, Where is the video that has the DRW with the 3.73 axel and 7.3l v8????? I have looked thru your entire video library and still have not found it. Thats my exact truck that I just ordered. Please help me find that video
Thinking of putting rack on bed for roof rack tent. Also tow mid size trailer for bed and bathroom. I might also take truck for Costco run. Should I get f450 6.7 or wait for next gen with 2,000 pound of torque. Can’t make up my mind
I see that you did an Ike Gauntlet run and a fuel economy run in blizzard conditions. Does that make the numbers worse or better than if it were run in dry conditions. I guess if you ran all the makes in crappy weather it would yield like results.
@8:37 wasn't the Ike gauntlet run with 16,000 lbs not 7,000? Also, it would have been good to state the mileage with the weight being towed. But awesome video 👌.
My father just got the f350 with the 10 speed and the 6.2. I’m curious as to what it can tow. It’s an xl crew cab long bed 4x4. Unfortunately his 2015 6.2 blew up; probably dropped a valve. Hopefully they fixed that.
Do all new 3/4 ton trucks weigh north of 8k lbs? My old ‘02 Duramax was about 6,800 lbs and I thought that was heavy. The weight negates much of the Ford’s advantage of an incredible 475hp/and 1k of torque. I got about 18 mpg hwy in my diesel. Not much progress in 18 years. I assume most of weight is in the now fully boxed HD frame. Could they lop off 1k lbs? PS: Where is Moab video?
Nice and informative, too bad the 2020 trucks are out of production for only God knows how long, and the existing 2020 Suoerduty's might actually become collectors items (the lowest production number for a year).
Unless I was towing day in an day out, 4-6 daze a week I’d be satisfied with the new 7.3 Godzilla Engine! But for an occasional vacation towing my 5,500 lbs travel trailer the diesel is unwarranted! Not when the gas engines have so much hp an tq!
I am also looking at the f250 or f350 as a truck camper. Frankly the options are a bit exhausting. Go with better MPG via the diesel? Save $10K and possibly some headaches, via the standard V8? Split the difference via the new Godzilla V8? I care about payload, mpg, fx4 off road package, and overall cost(s).
@@johndubrawski7094 Hey John, I am doing the same thing, looking to choose f250 as a truck camper. Do you mind sharing your choices for the options? thanks.
As someone that's gone from a 6.2 to the 7.3 it's night and day. The 7.3 is soooo much more powerful plus it gets the same if not slightly better fuel mileage
Not getting a Ford Super Duty until the Death Wobble is addressed. No one wants to talk about that. I love the F350 and F450 design and power choices but I am not buying until that is resolved. I am actually looking at the GM products now because the Ram Dually looks like crap. Everybody hating on the GM frontend, but I like it.
I own one. Couple times it wants to do the same shit my 2018 silverado 1500 8 speed did every once in awhile. The bang and jerk thing, hard to explain. Not very concerned though as it's under warranty.
Enjoy your vids and great content. You do need a sound editor. The entire vid I was jockeying my sound control. Too loud or I can't hear. Don't take offense, constructive criticism is all.
That would be wonderful, But I doubt 500k miles could be achieved with any substantial towing. That's where the Diesel will shine. It has a beefier block, better iron in the block, bigger bearings, etc. In addition the maximum torque and maximum horsepower of Ford's Diesel occurs at half the RPM, so there is much less scuffing and friction.
TFLnow very true I commented before seeing that part 😅. I have one on order and would love to see how it handles towing at its maximum as I’ll be towing a mini excavator. So may put airbags in it if needed. Thanks for the reply!
Just asking my wife and I are wanting to buy a fifth wheel to travel the country in would the 7.3 with the 10 speed trans and 3.73 rear end would that be good enough to tow a 17000 lb fifth wheel
@@kevincotton1453 Based on the Numbers. It would be overloaded. The max f250 could tow is with a 4x2 142" rig w/ 15,400lbs. You would have to upgrade to a 4.3 axle. Careful with your payload capacity.
You know what you get when you break down that word "expert"??? Well, an "ex" is a has been, and a "spert" is a drip under pressure. So, do you really want to be an "expert"???
Ford. And I'm a Ram 3500 owner. For me it's Cummins/AISIN for the I6ness for the 1 ton space and Ford or even Chevy in the 3/4 and below. Ram is okay but too Chrysler-y which is almost never a good thing. They have absolute beast interiors though. IOW I will do and have done Ford for half tons, would do either GM or Ford 3/4, and like Ram for the 1 ton (because the drivetrain isn't Ram at all when you get the HO).
Ford needs an update on the 6.2l . GMs 6.6 is much stronger and Rams 6.4 hemi is also supposed to be stronger than the Ford. I know the 7.3 is the top dog for gas but the 6.2 could be revamped/ refreshed a bit.

Waiting on my 2021 F-350 King Ranch 6.7 to be built. They say they are starting production on Oct 26th but who knows with these crazy times.
It would be interesting to compare all 4 powertrains in identical body styles and gear ratios pulling identical weights
@@jordankelly4684 mpg is miles per gallons :p its not the same thing as range
Great in depth review with very specific test scenarios for everyone.
I can't wait for you to test the 6.2 10 speed... I'm in the market to buy a new heavy duty truck, either a ram or f-350 and leaning towards the Ford, I have been watching your channel a lot for reviews
You actually can’t get the 10 speed with the 6.2 in a F250. It’s only available in the F350.
They should test it. to see how the 10-speed handles.
Awesome!!! Please do this with all the brands!
I am torn between the 7.3 and the 6.7. Cost, as always, will be the deciding factor, when I buy, as I have seen some good deals on 2500 Ram Cummins, too.
The 6.7l diesel will be a monster with a better exhaust, cold air intake, and even a mild tune...
Its already insane.
@@Blue_Flame_Raptor I like insane to the N'th degree. 6 75 seconds 0-60 is not insane.
WY O - We will never drive anything BUT a Ford truck! they are absolutely the BEST!
Same here, nothing can touch a Ford truck!
Love this comment.
Good stuff. There are a lot of people that can look online and configure, however, not everyone knows which configuration is good for what. Your explanation is going to help a lot of people. Besides, you're TFL and people enjoy seeing the visuals you offer. The real world views and reviews adds to the buying choices. I was not even aware the base was 33K +. That is a LOT of money in my opinion for a basic entry level. Ranchers and the likes that just need a work horse sure have to pay big bucks these days.
I really like the 6.2/A10 combo. I really like the 6.2 and the 10 speed just really helps with picking the right gear.
Leland Holton do you think that combo will give you the best gas mileage set up? I’m curious what the real world numbers on that combination would provide...
@TFLnow @The Fast Lane Truck Would still like you to review the 6.2L with a 10-speed in the F350
“Ford is the best in Texas!” It at least in my household! We enjoy the platinum package and towing capabilities as well! Thanks TFL!
Soooo nice to see some Tremor content. Looking forward to more. Those numbers are impressive! Some more side by side comparisons, I hope, is on the menu!
I would get a dark blue f250 Tremor package with 7.3 gas.
Just got the 7.3 in Blue Jean blue on a whim. Was looking for a 3.5l 150 when the wife saw the Godzilla. Still a little sticker shocked, but the hills in Idaho are big. Looking forward to not hitting a low of 20mph like the 5.4L with the trailer.
Damn, I already bought one 3 months ago. Guess it's too late for me now. I'll just have to do with the f350 lariat 7.3 tremor with the stowable loading ramps I ordered it with...
14:31 Wow! Seeing a pickup Truck pulling a Excavator like this is so Awesome. 😯😀
I'm looking into getting at 250 or maybe a 350 for hauling a Moving / Tool trailer. I don't have a Class A license yet but want something that's ready to go if a get a trailer that over 10,000 lbs. 😊
I wish Ford would put the Tremor package on a short box Super Cab.
Indeed, it doesn't seem like it would cost them much to add this config as a choice.
They already have a million different configurations for the trucks as it is.
My choice will be a f 350 xlt tremor with 7.3 Godzilla 4.30 ratio
Thanks Andre.. Lots of good information here.. Stay safe n healthy during this time
Ford's literature says the 7.3 is not compatible with E85 gas
This is a problem in that way too many gas stations only offer E85. Having to visit stations which may or may not have gasoline that's compatible with the 7.3 will be a hassle
Why can’t you order an oxford White with a black out sport package? Any ideas?? Thanks...
Wasn't that video clip of the 6.2L going up the mountain where it later grenades the fan blade, which wipes out the radiator?
I think it was before the actual test but yea
7.3 liter: good old pushrod engine would be my choice. I believe that 10 speed auto is a joint venture between Ford and GM so same trans should be available in HD GM trucks as well.
It is available with the duramax. Just minor differences between the Ford 10R140 and the "Allison" 10L1000
I would buy the F250 Super Duty crew cab.
What would you all choose for a part time travel trailer tow? 8Klbs, 29’
TFL,
Where is the video that has the DRW with the 3.73 axel and 7.3l v8????? I have looked thru your entire video library and still have not found it. Thats my exact truck that I just ordered. Please help me find that video
When are you starting the Super Tremor build!?
Powerstroke was the the only option on the website as of a week ago on the F450
They allow special orders of 6.2L gas w 10 speed in dually?
I spent hours on the configurator. You can build some awesome stuff.
Thinking of putting rack on bed for roof rack tent. Also tow mid size trailer for bed and bathroom. I might also take truck for Costco run. Should I get f450 6.7 or wait for next gen with 2,000 pound of torque. Can’t make up my mind
Ford should be having some really good deals right now!
I see that you did an Ike Gauntlet run and a fuel economy run in blizzard conditions. Does that make the numbers worse or better than if it were run in dry conditions. I guess if you ran all the makes in crappy weather it would yield like results.
Makes it worse, without a doubt.
"I set it to miles an hour, so everybody can see me."
I don’t get or even understand what a podcast is.I can only see you on UA-cam
6.7 turbo diesel powerstroke superduty for me.
Thanks Ford does trucks right
Dealerships sales departments are closed here in Vegas. So, good luck buying here.
They are open in Minnesota by appointment only
They are doing online sales now.
@8:37 wasn't the Ike gauntlet run with 16,000 lbs not 7,000? Also, it would have been good to state the mileage with the weight being towed. But awesome video 👌.
when you gonna test RAM 6.4 with 8 speed towing on IKE ?
Hopefully soon.
My father just got the f350 with the 10 speed and the 6.2. I’m curious as to what it can tow. It’s an xl crew cab long bed 4x4. Unfortunately his 2015 6.2 blew up; probably dropped a valve. Hopefully they fixed that.
You would be surprised at the towing ability. Doesn't even feel like a cattle trailer is back there except for the cows moving around.
Awesome. All trucks all the time TFL. Could be new channel name. How many TFL channels are there? 😀
All the emissions BS is killing the new diesels.
My 99 F250 extended cab short bed 4x4 with the 7.3 diesel weighed 7800lbs.
Seems like the 0-60 time started to early when u brake torqued???? Shouldnt the timer start when truck moves
LOVE this summary type video.
Excellent video!
Thanks for the video love your channel
Great job on the video guy’s!
Helpful as I’m choosing a f350 for a truckcamper
I am also looking at the f250 or f350 as a truck camper. Frankly the options are a bit exhausting. Go with better MPG via the diesel? Save $10K and possibly some headaches, via the standard V8? Split the difference via the new Godzilla V8? I care about payload, mpg, fx4 off road package, and overall cost(s).
@@johndubrawski7094 Hey John, I am doing the same thing, looking to choose f250 as a truck camper. Do you mind sharing your choices for the options? thanks.
Do you know what the fuel milage is in litres per 100 for how the Canadian trucks measure it?
Great review thanks
Is the 7.3 really that big of a jump from the 6.2? Ide loved to se a side by side comparison
Me as well
Judging from their Ike Gauntlet runs with the two of them, If my recollection is correct, it's a pretty big performance jump with the 7.3.
As someone that's gone from a 6.2 to the 7.3 it's night and day. The 7.3 is soooo much more powerful plus it gets the same if not slightly better fuel mileage
I love my 2021 7.3 f250
Not getting a Ford Super Duty until the Death Wobble is addressed. No one wants to talk about that. I love the F350 and F450 design and power choices but I am not buying until that is resolved. I am actually looking at the GM products now because the Ram Dually looks like crap. Everybody hating on the GM frontend, but I like it.
have you guys heard that transmission with 10 speeds is having issues?
I own one. Couple times it wants to do the same shit my 2018 silverado 1500 8 speed did every once in awhile. The bang and jerk thing, hard to explain.
Not very concerned though as it's under warranty.
Everything Ford makes has issues
Great content!
Enjoy your vids and great content. You do need a sound editor. The entire vid I was jockeying my sound control. Too loud or I can't hear. Don't take offense, constructive criticism is all.
7 3L needs a turbo or a supercharger...
Now I wanna see if that 7.3 gas engine get 500k miles or even 1 millions on it and how that handling
6.2 will do it. I think the 7.3 might be able in gen 2.
Are you guys making anymore videos on your Tremor? I look daily for them but it’s Been quite awhile!
This is one😉
TFLnow very true I commented before seeing that part 😅. I have one on order and would love to see how it handles towing at its maximum as I’ll be towing a mini excavator. So may put airbags in it if needed.
Thanks for the reply!
Give me that Crew cab In XL form
👍Those Ford power trains kick a**!
11:55 you have an error. Which is it? 4wd or 2wd?
Sorry for the typo here...
Just asking my wife and I are wanting to buy a fifth wheel to travel the country in would the 7.3 with the 10 speed trans and 3.73 rear end would that be good enough to tow a 17000 lb fifth wheel
I'm sorry for a f- 250
@@kevincotton1453 Based on the Numbers. It would be overloaded. The max f250 could tow is with a 4x2 142" rig w/ 15,400lbs. You would have to upgrade to a 4.3 axle. Careful with your payload capacity.
Now we know the 10 is trouble
Not much mileage difference on 7.3 with 4.30 vs 3.whatever...
The 7.3 idles at 1000 rpm?
What is in the 608a package?
You know what you get when you break down that word "expert"??? Well, an "ex" is a has been, and a "spert" is a drip under pressure. So, do you really want to be an "expert"???
Which one was it that broke down and had to be put on a flatbed
6.2
To be fair it blew the radiator
What was the fuel mileage for the 7.3L dullay with 3.73 rearend?
Like 15mpg
Which is better... The ram 2500 or this??
Ford
The Ford is much better!
Info I need.
Tremor dully?
If ford makes ventilators, how many will be recalled? Lol
😂👍
Every. Single. One.
Ford needs an update on the 6.2l . GMs 6.6 is much stronger and Rams 6.4 hemi is also supposed to be stronger than the Ford. I know the 7.3 is the top dog for gas but the 6.2 could be revamped/ refreshed a bit.
Why buy a heavy duty truck and not get diesel ?
Kris because people need the better payload of the heavy duty but don’t need all of the power of a diesel.
Modern Diesel is an expensive PITA whether you need it or not, so you're better off not getting it if you don't actually need it.
Ford, leading the way...
I wish Ford would loose the “Super Duty” badging! The truck purchasing public is not so dumb! We know the differences!
