I know Streamlabs offer this but I can’t seem to find out how to make it work, do you know? Thanks 🙏🏻
Hope you guys can take these tips to improve your stream quality! These same settings can be used for "recording" too (feel free to go crazier with the bitrate). It helps to have a good computer as you will be able to record/stream videos in higher quality using Apple hardware.

About the CPU preset, I have search a fair amount to get answer on it. But mostly, I always find this standard answer: _'For OBS at least, putting it any slower than veryfast can disable many x264 optimizations. You are better off increasing the frame rate, resolution, or bitrate to improve the quality (in the case of recordings, a quality based rate limit all the way up to placebo would be better - but cost a ton of storage). Changing this setting to improve quality is not recommended as the improvements are very minor and come at a great CPU cost.'_ But since I have a huge CPU (giggidy), it feels like a waste to not use it. And I'm using OBS, and am a little concerned that it can "disable optimizations", whatever that means... Gained any knowledge about this after this video?

It's great you explain what you're saying (most don't), but it is not true about the GPUs. Most processors (which includes the CPU, central processing unit) already have a GPU on-board (you cannot buy a prebuilt desktop today that has no GPU). Your default should always be hardware video encoding because CPU is very inefficient to do that and you need it to do other things, while your GPU (even on-die) has video encoding circuits that are really fast. OBS is specifically _very good_ at supporting all GPUs as well.

I am having trouble with my wave 3 always crashing during stream the audio just stops completely in streamlabs obs during stream. I constantly have to end stream reset mac and do that work around is there anything you recommend to fix the audio issue with it crashing /

This video was so helpful!! I finally got the right settings for dropped frames. Thank you for this video!! But now I have another problem. When I play on my PS5 using Remote Play to my MacBook Pro. The game lags hard! When I move the analog sticks in a first person game the camera spins around making a full turn. Or when I'm moving the game character it stops doing what I want it to and suddenly moves a different direction. I have been looking everywhere for this controller lag but haven't found anything for Mac users. Any ideas would be much appreciated! 👍 Thank you!

As long as you have a dedicated GPU you’ll have this option. If not you’ll have to shell out extra money on an external GPU

Your Mac is probably underpowered. I have a MacBook Pro almost maxed out spec wise and the fans still kick on.

If you’re computer is under powered that can cause the issue, especially if your internet is good for upload speed.
