Another great super group. Ted Nugent, Jack Blades (Night Ranger), Tommy Shaw (Styx) along with drummer Michael Cartellone (now playing drums with the current Lynyrd Skynyrd). I saw them in concert Sept 18, 1991 in Jacksonville, FL. The tickets were around $20 each. Loudest concert ever! It was a real privilege seeing these guys play.
I’m always amazed when finding a reaction to this song as to how few people comment on the reverse angle of the guitar (From the inside looking out). That has to be the best part of the video. Granted, this super group was outstanding, they were short lived. Just like the Traveling Wilbury’s and the Highwaymen.
They only have two albums but what's there speaks for itself. This "SUPERGROUP" got together, and Tommy asked what name they should use and Uncle Ted said, "I don't know about you, but we look like a bunch of Damn Yankees" Tommy my man 😎 When I was in my truck this album was playing😁
1990 was such a year. I was 23. The Berlin wall had fallen. The USSR was disbanding. And peace looked like it was finally here at last. How wrong was I? but truth is, I'll never forget that optimism. Great band, great song.
First time watching one of your reaction videos and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing you both enjoy this song with your head shaking and smiles. I was smiling right along with you! That's what great music can do, it can bring together people of different backgrounds and cultures. Love it!
Great band with uncleTed! Some (guitar) suggestions you'll love : Estas Tonne - The song of the golden dragon. (live version on Liebenstein channel) Roy Buchanan - Five string blues (audio only). Death - Voice of the soul Peter Green's Fleetwood mac - Oh well parts 1 and 2 (listen to the album versions) Buckethead - Soothsayer. Or 'Jordan'. Lili Haydn - Maggot brain (live 2011) Eivør - Falling free (live at the old theater in Torshavn) Funkadelic - Maggot brain (do the album version....but great live stuff too) Walter Trout and the Radicals - Broken heart (live 42 24 08)
I discovered this song recently too. Didn't care much for the Yankees but songs like this one and High Enough are amazing. Too bad the rise of Grunge spelt the end for bands like these, they even explained they were paid a lot of money by their company to stop recording.
Try "My Hallucination" by Shaw/Blades. A version of the band without Ted's shredding guitar but keeping Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades vocals. A lot more chill, but excellent harmonies
The guy on the guitar is none other than Ted Nugent, the motorcity madman. Love this band.

August 1991 starlake amphitheater near pittsburgh pa... YESSS the absolute loudest concert EVER... ❤❤❤❤
The greatest super group ever. Great Ted, Jack, Tommy and Michael
The build in this song is so good
Tommy Shaw is great guitarist/singer. Check him out when he visited Live From Daryl's House
These guys are incredible! I’ve been praying for a reunion…
You know the guy on guitar…He’s your Uncle Ted!
Good super band!
Glad you guys liked this. Damn Yankees were a great supergroup
Loved Your reaction!! that was one of the best albums from 1990

When I was in my truck this album was playing😁
The crazed guitarist was the great Ted Nugent, vocalist Tommy Shaw formerly of Styx, bassist Jack Blades of Night Ranger.
Ted Nugent is the guitar player you're talking about. You should see him in the live version of this!!!
the greatest rock song ever!!!! vocals were mind blowing! guitar was so intense! this is the defination of a "SUPER GROUP"

Love love LOVE this song. It was nice to see you both smile during different times of this song. 😊
Bass player Jack Blades is from Night Ranger!! MUST check his band out too! Such fun & energy!
The smiles on your faces tells us everything...Thank You
This band was fire. They were so good that they were paid to stop recording.
Sorry, I repeated your reply. Did not know it at the time when they disappeared. 'Don't tread on me' probably did it.
The band is Tommy Shaw from Styx, Jack Blades from Night Ranger and Ted Nugent from the Amboy Dukes.

Great song, Uncle Ted takes you there.. Luv u guys.
I just saw Mr Big live
High Enough by this band is even better
High Enough is excellent, but there ain't nothing better than Come Again.

"Goofy, but he's producing some really serious sounds." 😂 Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Ted Nugent.
The most epic guitar solo ever! Seen Ted Nugent (AKA The Motor City Madman) live 3 times and my ears rang for weeks afterwards.
First time seeing your channel.Cute accents and I enjoyed it.
Just a great Fn song.
You should do "Don't Tread On Me" next!!!
The Mr Big comparison was good. Both bands were combinations of the best of other bands.
checkin in...
Yep... There's definitely a Mr Big vibe about Damn Yankees and Ted Nugent on guitar is as mad as a bag of frogs 😂😂
Check - Sleepind at last - Saturn
1990.. I actually thought Peace would have a chance.
Look up Ted Nugent he is the goofy guitar guy. He as well can sing that good.
Back then they were paid millions of dollars do not make a third album. They were too loud for main stream rock and rool is what they were told.
Yep grundge was coming they were afraid these guys were going to get in the way . Damn shame all these guys are great musicians
No Led Zeppelin for 10 days.
WHAT....MOST EPIC QUITAR SOLO EVER IS DAVID GILMORE OF PINK FLOYD ON COMFORTABLY NUMB...NUGENT ISN'T EVEN CLOSE...GET REAL...
We call him Uncle Ted. 🤘
