I have a keytar with aftertouch but had no idea what it meant, so thanks for making this video. 😁

"Love Theme From The Warriors of Atlantis" damn now I want that to be a real movie.
I love the aftertouch on my Juno 2, it still works

Well the theme sounds very similar to the braveheart theme.

Nice content. I didn't know it would do that. So - how exactly do I set the after touch on my DM12? Is that a mod parameter?

Is it poly or just mono?

Anyone here know if aftertouch can be applied to different parameters on the deepmind? I'm new to synths, I'll some research, but just thought I'd ask.

The answer is "Yes". The DM12 has a very extensive mod-matrix, and aftertouch can be applied to almost anything.

Hey! I, 100% agree with you on the expressiveness of after touch on both these devices. Rivals the JD 800. You should try out the Roli Seaboard.

Aftertouch is just that.... when you let go of the keys the sound continues - according to the amount you set!
So it is nothing to do with the affects on the sound when extra velocity / weight are engaged when you are playing.
Aftertouch is just that.... Let go of the keys & hear it if the keyboard has aftertouch.
Any keyboard worth having has aftertouch.
But while you are actually playing the keys you are engaging attack, decay, sustain & release.
    Aftertouch comes after that!!

You’re confusing aftertouch with escape (or release) velocity … perhaps just release amount. It’s hard to tell, because you don’t seem to have any genuine knowledge of the topic.
What I demonstrate here is indeed aftertouch. Specifically these keyboards implement “channel aftertouch”. More sophisticated instruments implement “polyphonic aftertouch”.

"Aftertouch is just that.... when you let go of the keys the sound continues - according to the amount you set! " 🤣 That's the most incorrect explanation of aftertouch I've ever heard. Aftertouch is; pressing a key(s) which causes a sound. Then, whilst you still have the key(s) pressed, you press even harder/firmer on the key(s) which will then alter the sound, depending on what you've linked your aftertouch to, LFO, Freq of an oscillator, resonance, pitch, etc.
