    Question please. Can you record vocals and live guitar by plugging right into the fantom8? My goal is to use the fantom to make a demo album for my dad until I get a good daw. He sings and plays guitar

    Great stuff... With the new update I was wondering if custom drum samples could be used on the key bed somehow instead of just the pads... Not a fan of them.

      Yes my friend, that can now be done, The exact WAY you do it is still not ideal IMHO. I'll cover that in an upcoming video.

    Hey brother, or anyone else that knows this workstation, can you please help me here. I am trying to record modulation into my strings after the fact that I have already recorded a loop, but I can't hear what the modulation is doing in real time as I'm recording it over top of the strings loop. It's only after the loop goes by once, that I can hear what I did with the modulation, but I want to hear it while I am recording it in real time? I just hope there is a way to do this, because it's impossible to record modulation while I'm using both of your hands.
    I know there's probably a way, because I can do it on the JD-Xi, but I can't seem to find it on here, and I have tried almost everything. Is there any way to hear the modulation while the loop is playing and recording in real time, instead of hearing it when the loop has gone through already? I can't figure it out here for the life of me, and there's not too many videos at all on these kinds of things?...SBN RESONATE

    Hey ZT Audio! I learn a lot from you. I know that this video is bit old now so I hope you will see my question. I've been trying to duplicate what you are doing in the video but for some reason the cut-off and resonance changes aren't coming through live as I move the slider during recording. It sounds the same no matter what I do with the slider. Then after I stop and play back I can hear the changes that were made. It's not very useful this way because I can't hear what changes are being made live. Do you think that I have something set wrong or is OS version 1.6 messed up a bit? Are you updated to 1.6 and it still works for you? Thanks much for all your videos.

      despite the excellent quality of his videos, for some reason, ZT does not seem to come back and answer questions on a lot of them, however, since the OS has gone way up since 2 years ago, hopefully, with the latest version, your problem is solved.

    I cant seem to record a straight filter sweep on my f6, using the cutoff knob. Maybe the filter effect needs to be assigned to a different controller?

      banjo Stanley yea that’s exactly what I was gonna mention, it doesn’t record the automation using the actual filter knobs, or like how you could record the change in release and attack and such in the FA- Series. I couldn’t figure out how to write that kind of automation with the Fantom.

      You have to assign a desired perimeter (such as cut off and resonance) to a control knob first. Once you do that, the sequencer will record your real time changes from the control knobs. Hold 'shift' and move a control knob to open the assignment screen.

      @@amrsbadawi There's a metronome, but you still have not defined what you mean by "standalone" metronome. So the answer has to be "maybe", until you can clarify.

      @@ZTAudio i mean outside the REC/sequencer functionality.a Metronome where you can set it up 4/4 with triplets for example etc...

    • @ZTAudio
      @ZTAudio  4 роки тому +1

      @@amrsbadawi Hot aware of that capability. It's really not something you'd expect to find in a pro-quality workstation.
      You CAN however, program a simple 1-bar loop with quarter-note clicks or something. That would take you all of 30 seconds to setup, and then you'd have a perfectly serviceable metronome.
