Thank you! Advice and video helped repair our washing machine when none of the manufacturers tips worked.

I get very humbled by your comment. All I'm trying to do is teach in the correct way that everyone understands. It would be really helpful for me to get my video shared and help us fight appliance waste! Please remember to subscribe to our channel, as that really helps us 😇
I will continue to invest the beer donations that I receive predominantly into the new video technology that I'm learning with tracking cameras and better audio to make it easier for everyone to understand.
I'm also employing someone now to assist me in my workload. You can support us by donating to our website www.how-to-repair.com/help/buy-paul-a-beer/

Thank you so much for this video! Managed to fix our washing machine after watching your advice - a sneaky sock stuck in the sump hose :) I’m now in the wife’s good books 😀

Gained a short reprieve for my washing machine with this video. Can’t get a part to fix the main problem but we can limp along now I’ve fixed the blocked drain until the new one comes. Would have been shafted without this video as we have a baby and can’t cope for long without a machine.

Thanks from Denmark (in the European union) we almost followed each and every word and found an old key in a Siemens iq700.

Thanks a million, followed your video and I sorted out my blocked Bosch Washer/Dryer... the anti-siphon ball was wedged in the sump hose.

You might consider an edit to address machines with a solid bottom, such as my Siemens WM12S460TI

Thanks so much for your excellent videos. I have a Beko washing machine that won't drain after I heard a loud rattling noise, which I presume to be a coin. After manually draining the machine I checked the filter which was clear. I then opened up the machine and removed the heating element which turn out to be also clean. I am wondering where the coin went? Is it in the sump hose? Or did it leave the machine and is stuck in the drainage hose? If it is in the drainage hose how can I remove it or replace the hose?
    Thanks so much, Dano

I have a Beko WTL104121w that will not release the door lock after cycle, I cleared the fault and replaced the Door lock, was fine for 1 week, then I replaced the pump, again fine for 1 week now the fault has returned, it will not fully drain and even when switched off you can hear a solenoid trying to activate and deactivate the door look, any advice, the machine is only 2 years old I don’t want to buy a new machine, a friend said it’s the PCB

Paul thanks for the call... and here's the diagnosis: removing the sump hose was a piece of cake. Cleaned out the gunk, found a coin BUT no siphon ball!!! Is that possible??? My other washing machine has one... Anyway I turned the drum round HOPING the obstruction would fall down to the sump hole, futile: wherever that sock or whatever it is has lodged, it's not accessible. Motor, belt and bearings seem to be in good condition. So I guess this leaves me with no other option than to take apart the whole machine. It's a Candy Grand 6 kg front loading, 40cm depth. Could it be that the drum has warped? If that's the case, maybe I should just put it back together after cleaning it out best I can and use it till the machine inevitably falls apart, don't think it's worth changing the drum. How can i be sure though, how do i find if there is indeed something obstructing and it isn't a warped drum? Any other suggestions?

you should see it with a torch through the drum holes or take out heater and rotate drum
Iam Glad we could help you

We have a Beko WME7247S washing machine. Tonight when I switched it on to do a wash rather than filling up water flooded out from underneath the washer all over the floor. Could it be the sump hose or do you have any other suggestion ? We checked the back and everything looks okay. We could't see any water leaking from that area.
