@@hassanaisha7993 the only waste of water here was because he literally loaded 3 plates and a bowl. In any other occasion dishwasher saves plenty of water. Duh, I’d probably use more water while hand washing those 3 plates…
Fun fact, if you plan on washing your dishes for more than 3 minutes, a dish washer is more efficent. It actually reuses most of the water (so a typical wash cycle only uses about 3-4 gallons of water. Meanwhile, hand washing will use 2+ gallons of water a minute. Most high efficiency washing machines also use pretty cool water since they use HE soaps and don't need to heat the water significantly. Overall, if you are planning on washing dishes for more than 3 minutes, a dishwasher will be more efficient for your wallet and the environment!
Disagree. You can use faucet regulators to change the sink from 2 GPM to 1.5 or even 1 GPM (some newer faucets are already at 1GPM with a button to press for a faster fill). You can also fill one side of the sink (1/2 or 3/4 the way up) with hot soapy water. Wash and then use the other side as a rinse basin. Just don't run the water while hand washing your dishes and it'll be more efficient as you aren't using electricity for the dishwasher pumps/motors and heating elements.
We’ve been washing dishes for as long as I can remember. One day I just decided to put the dishes in the dishwasher because of how many ads I saw claiming it reduces water. So I gave it a try and at the end of the month the water bill had skyrocketed. I don’t think it saves but uses a crap ton more of water. They make you think it doesn’t because of money. Edit: grammar corrections.
@@_rpeezy_6419 Sure you can do that too! I'm all for reducing water usage and waste. That's a great suggestion. At the end of the day most modern sinks hold 6ish gallons, so half a sink is 3 gallons. You're gonna use a decent amount of water in the process, but using your method you would reduce electricity costs!
I didn’t grow up with one and my mom made it seem like she didn’t believe it was effective as hand washing. It didn’t help that even when I visited people who did have them they chose not to use them. I realized later that it’s a cultural thing. In my late 20s I finally moved into my own apartment with a new dishwasher and I absolutely love it. I don’t have enough dishes to overfill it so I’ve never had my dishes not come out spotless. I’m sure 15-20 years ago they weren’t as efficient
I have a friend who’s Costa Rican and lived in NY the first half of her life and they don’t use their dishwasher to wash the dishes, they hand wash and put them in the dishwasher to dry. She’s in her own house now so I’ll have to ask her if she’s still going to hand wash or use her dishwasher now. I have an aunt on my dads side who had her dishwasher removed from the kitchen entirely.

My partner loads the dishes in just as they are, and then acts all surprised when they aren't clean at the end.
@@whengrapespop5728 no you're not. You're supposed to scrape off the food then put directly in the dishwasher. Dishwashing powder (as in the stuff used for dishwashing machines specifically) have enzymes in them that attach to the food scraps and provide a better clean. Also modern dishwashers have sensors that can tell how dirty the dishes are and will act accordingly. As for pood particles, there's usually a catch at the bottom that collects scraps that you're supposed to empty... Then of course loading the dishwasher correctly so that the jets etc can angle the best way possible. If you're rinsing before, you are getting a worse job and wasting SO much water.
This makes me never want to use a dish washer again. It took an hour to clean a plate, I saw soap going in the machine but yet I never saw soapy water. No!!! Ill use my hands, a sponge, and dawn dish SOAP!!
You're smart! keep being at least eco friendly! But, hey.. close that tap whenever you're scrubbing the plate with the soap cause you're still wasting water by that. 😃👌
If you are washing a few dishes, then handwash is better. But if it's a full load, then dishwasher is better in every aspects. Also, the whole point of dishwasher detergent is to not make foams but still can cut through the grease.
This wasn't a properly loaded dishwasher. The plate was backwards. A full loaded dishwasher actually conserves water and uses a much higher temperature, thus sanitizing better. Also amount of bubbles does not equate soap effectiveness. You can make homemade dish detergent and it has few bubbles unless you add in other things.

@@hassanaisha7993 so you're telling me hand-washing isn't a waste of water.

I think part of the reason that people think it isn't effective enough, is becuase they don't use pre-wash
I grew up with my family using them. That was over 20 years ago. They worked the same back then as they do now, at least from my experience.

It saves water this way.
@@nahiyanalamgir7056 Saves it from what?
@@dawnhasbroken6304 Wastage.
@@nahiyanalamgir7056 Once filled with the supply water line, a dish washer creates its own water pressure using it’s internal impeller style pump. The pressure or velocity of the stream is not dependent on the volume of water or pressure delivered from the supply inlet. They could be far more energetic with zero waste of water.
@@michaeltaylors2456 Agreed.
I've wanted to see this forever. Thank you.
Fact : People can wash dish more fast then Washer Machine.
True
....plus save alot more water :D
@@cipri123wr oh yeah
Me : *remember how i use so much water to wash big pan.
All that for a few plates ?
And apparently waste less water
My man casually bought a whole dishwasher for a 15-minute video. What a legend. After a pandemic, during a war and talk of the end of the world, watching a plate slowly get washed by someone else was sexy, relaxing and fascinating. I love my dishwasher so much, just because it steams everything and makes it feel so clean. Didn't realize how hot it was until the thermal bit. Excellent video
I like how he casually buys one of the best dishwashers of 2021
It’s midnight and I have school tomorrow, and here I am watching the inside of a dishwasher
