Mate, I've been working up the gumption to do this thing for months, and every time I go over the procedure, its your videos I look for. I've watch tons of these videos by other youtubers and despite you being the only one that seems to know what he's talking about you were 19th on the list, with a couple of shorts bars, too, when I just searched this time. If anyone else reading this knows how to help with the algorithm, this man Deserves it. Someone with expertise explains as well as instructs, and - definitely in my case - provides the confidence you may need. We need the experts at the top. Its lovely weather here today, and I've got some time. Will post once I've got the machine to 1st wash.
I'm very humbled by this comment and appreciate your support. There are many UA-camrs who make videos just for money, but they don't always have the knowledge to back it up. I've been on UA-cam since 2006 and started just to help friends. Over the years, my channel has grown quite large because of the consistent information I provide. I will continue to make long, perhaps boring, videos with relevant and correct information rather than just flipping a video for money. I will always hold manufacturers accountable when they produce rubbish for profit instead of quality products for consumers. Thanks again for all your support.
Hi thanks a lot for your comment, and I'm glad to receive your thoughts. It would be really helpful for me to get my video shared and help us fight appliance waste! Please remember to subscribe to our channel, as that really helps us 😇 Since we work very hard in our warehouse making free video guides for you all on appliances, we always appreciate a beer, offering a choice of single or round beer. www.how-to-repair.com/help/buy-paul-a-beer/ Thanks, Paul 👍
I can't believe I forgot to subscribe - that's it done. I did the procedure yesterday. The seal is clean, but there are still a little spots of black staining on the inside part and I had to get the machine back in working order first thing, so there was no time for more soaking - I have to admit I only turned and scrubbed it one time about thirty minutes after I first put it in to soak overnight, but I've got some Segemur Gel I bought before I found out about the conditions on the inside of the machine coating it now. I followed the 90° wash with the rags, dishwasher tablets, squirt of bleach, water-fill-top-up, and suspending the wash at it's peak temperature, (for about an hour - forgot), before resuming the full wash. The results were perfect: the smell from the machine is GONE - it smells brand new - and I'm more than happy with the seal -even if the Segemur is a bust. Now for the bad news: as soon as I started removing the front panel, I realised it was corroded - causing the paint to bubble under the soap drawer, and across a significant amount of the bottom of the panel just above the strip with the filter trap access thing. I'm in the middle of a bunch of household decorating and I've got everything I need to remove it , sand it, and respray it, but I'll have to find out if this is a viable or wise way to keep him out of the landfill - getting quite fond of the little guy now. Will check your videos to see what's there, now. Thank you for all this, mate - this was a lot more fun than a reasonable man might expect. 👍
@@NeilThomson-f7tYou know what, i like both of you. Paul for the outstanding work, dedication and pure genuine will to help and you for your recognition and appreciation. I myself watched a few videos before discovering this one, and yeah the others did get it clean but not anywhere to the level of thoroughness of this here. I’m just going to quickly look up a video on how to remove the front panel on a Samsung (i don’t want to remove any screws more than necessary) and I’ll get right on it. As for the algorithm, UA-cam has been weird about it as of late, most creators have been struggling to crack it but generally it’s the usual stuff that help, liking subscribing sharing but especially commenting. The video needs movement and circulation, or soak wash rinse spin so to speak :) Anyway, cheers to you both and remain kind, gentlemen!
I think you need to do a series of shorts from this video to get more views. I just spent half a day scrubbing the horrible black mould out of my rubber seal on the Hotpoint washing machine and the effing stuff is back and now I know why. I used the HG Mould Remover Foam Spray, Mould Spray & Mildew Cleaner, it comes out like a foam and it is very good but I had to treat it 3 times. I don' know if I have the gumption to open the whole thing up and try and take out the rubber seal.
Hands down the best "how to clean a washing machine" video out there . Made Simple, easy to understand and explained perfectly each step and all of that in a calming voice. Ps: keeping the environment in mind at all times was the cherry on top👌
Wow, thanks that one nearly go a tear thank you! Thank you For leaving a comment this is for you ua-cam.com/users/shortse432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's is what keeps this channel going. Thanks 👍
Definitely, great video, I used to change the brushes in my mum's washer when I was a teen, many moons ago.. my Hotpoint just complained about F05 so I thought I best brush up on my knowledge, glad I did 10/10 👌😎
The right to repair. These kinds of videos are important, and huge thanks to the people who take the time to make those videos. NOTE: a Siemens IQ700 must not be turned off at the main switch while the program is running, then it will start from the beginning 🙂
Yes, I agree, you could say I'm one of the most popular people with them. lol Vincent Lee I would love you to leave your opinion on our poll about manufacturers building in obsolescence to appliances. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxygHomnUySd_bYjaJBdEHPO6T4dYo9Ahm and this is for you ua-cam.com/users/shortse432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's is what keeps this channel going. Wow I have watched 20+ tutorials for our Samsung washing machine trying to figure out how to deep clean it and remove the lime scale and mold/mildew build up because it’s ruining our clothes! I use the washer’s self cleaning option and several different washer cleaners regularly and still the hard water and family laundry have destroyed this machine’s ability to function well in just a couple years. Soooo grateful for this video - I have hope that I can save the washer without having to replace it. Thank you!!!
we have been leaving the door and draw open on our washing machine ever since we got it (3 years ago) and i have to say it really does make a difference it’s never had mould once it looks like new and it’s always had a nice clean smell. compared to when we had our old one that one was very mouldy as we always kept it all shut and it really did have an unpleasant smell. this is a very useful video indeed 👍
We have a Samsung WF218ANW with practically the same setup as the washer in this video, and I followed your instructions to the letter. I’m happily listening to the initial wash on highest and longest setting after it’s all back together again. I could NOT believe the foul gunk that had build up over the years. You’re a life saver!! Thank you for all your hard work and ability to make it easy to follow along. Much appreciated. 🙂🙂
yes it's hard to believe we are all washing clothes in it. thanks 👍 for watching and please remember to subscribe to the Channel as that's what keeps us going in able to make the video for you
In a word Brilliant. And from a Scotsman that says a lot. Great work mate, first time I have seen your channel My wife now has dementia so I have for my first time ever in 70 years done a wash and realized how much the machine needs to be deep cleaned, wish me luck. Cheers again and thank you for the detail in your presentation.
We purchased our front load whirlpool washer and dryer about 3.5 years ago. I’ve typically just done tub clean cycles using afresh tabs thinking that was sufficient. Just a few days ago I looked more in depth at the washer and was stunned by the amount of dirt and black mold that had accumulated in the rubber door seal. This video is exactly what I’ve been looking for for in depth cleaning and maintenance. Thank you for putting together a thorough video explaining how to tackle this project, your time and efforts are well appreciated!

Thank you, thank you!!! Your step by step video was perfect to restore my 20 year old machine. The mould on our door seal was much worse than in your video. We had tried all sorts of products with no success. Unbelievably the seal looks brand new!!!! I was in total shock! We then did the drum clean and wow, the colour of the water was gross. Thank you for sharing your expert knowledge and saving us hundreds of dollars in servicing costs!!
I am not an appliance repairman. I have however used your videos to repair my dishwasher and my washing machine over the years. Cost to me of about £80 in parts and about 3 hrs of my time. (I'm not as quick as you at disassembly/reassembly) You have saved me hundreds of £ 👍
You earned my subscription only 3 minutes in. Repair not Replace is something I try to live by myself, so it is always a delight when I find people who share that approach. Massive respect, looking forward to checking out the rest of your content!
Fantastic to know about you and your critical efforts to help us save the planet! Addressing this issue of no longer being able to repair machines (from cars to all appliances etc, etc) is seldom being discussed much less helping us do as much as we still can--and initiate and support governmental regualtions to reverse this movement by corporate entities. BRAVO!
The problem being there are not enough people standing up to the manufacturers with the built-in obsolescence and the UN environmental way the profits always come first Glad it was helpful! Brilliant. Was very close to getting rid of my washing machine due to it making my clothes smell. Thanks very much for putting this video together... is hugely helpful! Subscribed!
I got on UA-cam to find out how to drain my washer and came across your video. I have just purchased a new washing machine due to mould. It will be here later on this afternoon. I really wish l had seen your video before. So nice of you to share the tips that majority of people have no clue about 👏🏼 like my silly self 😂
Evening Paul. Thanks very much for the video. We have a Hotpoint Smart Tech. WMFUG 942P. Wife's been complaining about a smell. So yours truly manned up and removed the gasket washed as you suggested and reinstalled. All from the front.👍🏻. Never done that before!! But thanks to your advice wife is almost happy. 😄😄. A beer is on its way.
I can only repeat most of the previous comments. Excellent video, informative, concise, every piece of info needed to complete the job. Please keep making these videos , all the best to you.
Three minutes into this video and I already have to hit pause, the Like button and leave a comment praising your message on the environmental impact not only of this industry but also of our own choices. Thank you! More people should listen to this.
I can't beleive how good this actually worked.I had serious doubts if i could get the seal cleaned.I thought for sure I was going to have to spend $150 on a new bellows (door seal). Thanks so much for putting out tried and true information!!
Glad I could help you. if i make a video its the truth, Thank you For leaving a comment this is for you ua-cam.com/users/shortse432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's is what keeps this channel going. Thanks 👍
You’re the best! I’ve managed to clean my machine to perfection & also gotten a bra wire out through the heating element hole thanks to your easy to follow tutorials! Thanks so much! ❤ xx
Thank you so much for this! I need this today as my washing came out smelling so I need to do a good deep clean with it. I also love the mentality that we need to repair and try and prevent waste when things just need a little work to fix. My sister always gets rid of things when they just need a good clean, it drives me mad.

Valuable, valuable video. I hope to use this to clean my uncle’s washer (I’m temporarily living with him). It has mold, gets a smell particularly after any kind of warm or hot water wash, and has gunk built up like mud between the drum barrel and door seal. It clogs even the drainage holes in the door seal rubber. Nasty stuff. My uncle-an engineer-has treated the mold and moisture issue as a just a design flaw. He does the recommended maintenance tips given at the end (minus the dishwasher tablets and rags with a boil cycle). Also, the model he has does not have an easy access to even a filter that could be cleaned from the front. Yeah. I’m gonna ask If I can take two days to do all of this maintenance on his washer. If he has never done any kind of cleaning like this on the washer-and I’m gonna advocate about the dirty mud and mold that gets on my clothes, and just flat out mold exposure-to see if this is an option we can try. I’m sure he would be happy with the cost effective solution versus purchasing anything new. As long as he does not say no for the reason of “I’m fine the way it is.”
Thank you sir for doing the video. Your video is the best by far. You are explanation is clear and easy to follow. All I wanted was to figure out how to get rid of the mold in the door seal. I am so glad I watched it...Grossed out but enlightened and empowered. I have just sent this link to friends and subscribed. Thank you!
I'm really glad I watched your video. I tried to do something similar before with dishwasher tablets but it didnt work. However, I thought ile give it another try. I used 3 tablets & put the machine on a boil wash, but also raised the water levels up higher in the drum as was suggested. My machine now smells as fresh as a daisy. Thank you.
Great video, it's very nice that a professional like you shared information about cleaning and maintaining the washing machine. Thank you so much for this video and your work. Good job.
Thank you so much - having watched your video I plucked up the courage to clean out my machine - and then watched through again step by step as I actually did it. I had to get help putting the inner spring back on but otherwise managed the whole thing by myself - my Dad was aghast when I sent him the photo when I’d dismantled everything 😂 This was so helpful and I am delighted to no longer be pulling my laundry out of the machine and find greasy streaks. Saved me having to pay someone else too who I’m sure would have just replaced the seal and not done the full clean ie back to square one in no time. Hugely appreciative and will be sharing with all the friends who have the same problem with washing machine gunk!

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !! Thank you so much. Your video is the best one on how to clean that rubber seal. It’s been bugging me for years. And I appreciate very much your explanation on why these machines are built that way. So wrong.
Really glad you managed to get your machine clean again What would really help me to get my video seen as I'm no IT expert is to either share the channel or at least post it to your friends my videos might not be UA-cam superstars, but they save Appliances from the scrapheap. I think you just my washing machine AND my laundry. Tried all the surface tips from other sites to no avail. I was starting to despair when I happened upon your video! Thank you thank you!
Brilliant, thanks for sharing. The only comment I need to make as a person who's been sick due to mold, is: please, while cleaning or dealing with mold in any way, you must wear a proper mask, googles and cover ears and skin. Mold is a serious issue, and people don't know it.. thank you!
This is a brilliant video from a very experienced & knowledgeable engineer. The explanation was slow (great) and well-structured to follow. Anyone can follow it to help save the CO2 footprint in buying a new machine. Wish I saw this video before as I had to throw a molded seal for a new one. I did clean it with white Vinegar and bicarbonate soda and it did not work. We do leave the door and soap box open after every wash but the same problem on my Bosch machine appeared. Cloths getting mold on them. So this time, I have followed the video and cleaned all the pipes, soap box, and door seal. Today I have submerged every item in a bleach solution and will check the result tomorrow. I added two 750 ml of bleach and added warm water to bring it to some level to enable submerging the items. One question is that should I have just submerged the items in raw bleach or would the solution I have prepared do, as it is not clear in the video.
Absolutely brilliant - thank you so much for all your knowledge. The amount of videos I have seen which don't even get close to this level of clean - I kept wondering how they were actually truly cleaning all the inner workings. Really looking forward to cleaning tomorrow 👍

I have been trying to get the smell, gunk in between the drums and the nasty mold off the rubber seal for a long time. You are the only person that has solved my problem! Thank you!
I have to conference, I threw away a 2 year old front loader washer because of this problem, years ago. Now I’m so confident that I’m doing it my self today. Thank you, I have the door seal out and is disgusting the amount of buildup is incredible, we were just about to get a new one but you just saved me from making that mistake again. Thank you 🙏 I got it all out and I’m not going to clean it until my wife comes from work, I’m sure going to score some points today!!! 😂 Again thank you!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

this is exactly what I needed, thank you so much for taking the time to put together such a comprehensive video. as others have said, what a decent chap you are! I have been cleaning the gunk from inside the lip of the seal but the bad smell would always return and occasionally some items in a wash would get strained from a stray piece of gunk! yuck! so glad to find out I can take it apart and get at the rest of the gunk. I am weirdly looking forward to giving it all a good clean 🤣

I can’t believe that I have just watched this at 7:30 on Sunday morning as I’m laying in bed! Great instructions and tips and I’m ready too have a go…..
So glad I landed on this excellent video. My samsung is 9 years old and I have the privledge of living in a beautiful and genreally hot part of Australia, but even so the seal finally started sheding crud on to the clothes even after ensuring the soap draw and cabinet are never left closed. Followed the steps and the maachine is as good as new. Thanks so much.
Wow!! you are truly amazing. My Miele washing machine had a drain problem, water level problem and bad smell. Wth of your videos I fixed, I took it apart to pieces, unclogged and cleaned everything, now it is like new. Thank you so much

You have a great channel here. Very informative and professional work. I don't know how you do it in Britain, but we in Eastern Europe actually split the sealed tub, replace the bearings and reseal in back with epoxy. It is not always an ideal solution, and the work is tedious, but it can be done.

Yes you are right! I'm just helping out the neighborhood. My job is actually a different one, but I've been doing this out of a hobby for a long time. You're doing a great job keep it up.

TYSM. I was given an awesome washer by a sweetheart but they bought it off someone else and didn't know to check for anything. They know now. The front loading washer was left in storage wet and clearly evident never properly maintained or even cleaned. Full of debris, mold and even what looked like a dryer sheet smh filter was disgusting and over full. Unfortunately I'm not only allergic to mold I have asthma. I cleaned the filter, dispenser drawer and tried to clean the seal. I ran a self cleaning mode with a powdered cleaning solution specifically for getting to everything. Worked except for the door seal. Problem is because of my allergy to mold and my asthma I had respiratory issues for 2 days after. I came here to see how to safely and properly take the seal off so I can soak it and can't thank you enough. At least now I have a method to clean the seal, which is the main mold problem area, and will help me get this done quickly so I don't have to go into another episode. So, thank you again 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰🥰🥰
Absolutely awesome video on how to deep clean a machine. How the door seal came out was just astonishing. Will now try the trick with the dishwasher tablets and the rugs, because I suspect the outer side of my drum being very dirty. Thank you so much for this super-informative video!

Great video. Thanks. I managed to save our 7y old Siemens washer, partly with the of a technician. But changing the nozzle plate would be prohibitively expensive, and so far it is still working, although the scaling is bad. I hope the next video will show how to deal with that. The machine is so unnecessarily difficult to maintain. Taking out the nozzle plate for descaling should and as far I can see could be very easy, yet I need to remove the whole front of the machine. One thing that I found very difficult was to the belch back on. I had to have my wife help me there. Really just needed and extra hand. The technician also has a VERY hard time getting it back on (a lot of curse words). So maybe a slight warning to people before they remove the belch.
This video and one of your others has saved my hotpoint ultima going to the yard. We were getting black dots over our clothes from the mold. I removed and cleaned the seal and the powder chamber and hose and the jets. Likely original cause of the problem was the jets blocked with limescale. All cleaned out now and £500 on a new machine saved.

Wow! I can't wait to get a minute to take care of this on my machine. I have tried to leave a bleach water solution sitting on the visible parts but now that I see how much is probably hiding in the back I will take it apart. Thank you for your help.

Wow, wow, wow!!!! Come to Canada and live with us! ❤ you honest man you. Thank u so much. My husband will surely be as enthusiastic as you are (I have no doubt) when I show him your video and ask him, please, please can he do this to our machine. Smile thanks again.❤❤❤

This is a most informative video! May I suggest you to use citric acid at 20% in water solution as a descaler? It is very effective, does not release any fumes and has a minimal environmental impact. Mold can be treated with concentrated hydrogen peroxide at 10-12% concentration, just spray on affected parts and leave the oxygen take effect; an effervescent reaction will take place, wait until the foam has stopped . It is ecological as it decomposes in oxygen and water. If the mold infection is too strong, it would be useful to try with sodium percarbonate. This is releases active oxygen too at a much higher concentration: just pour 150-200g in a bowl of hot water (5 litres) and leave soaking overnight. Again this is eco friendly and it is used to sanitise brewery circuits as well without leaving any nasty residues on the mechanical parts. Ps: sodium percarbonate is the main ingredient in dishwasher tablets as well.
i will try that Thank you for leaving a comment this is for you ua-cam.com/users/shortse432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's is what keeps this channel going. Thanks 👍

A really good video I personally use a small amount of washing up liquid and bleach every month or so, a small amount of washing up liquid and bleach (a teaspoon of each) doesn't foam up too badly I then use my dish cloths as the "rags" to agitate the water, it gives the dish cloths a really good clean in the process too, I leave my dish cloths in disinfectant periodically also, but a boil wash with bleach does them wonders I leave the machine door and detergent drawer open in between washes, and I live in a soft water area too I have never had any issues with mould build up or a smelly washing machine as a result of following some simple steps to prevent it
Brilliant, all I'd like to add though is sometimes it's a good idea to take pictures of parts in place before removing, that way you can refer to the pictures when re installing them making sure they go back exactly as they were originally installed, thanks Paul 😊

wow.. I love this ch 3 times you saved me money be fixing my machine and now you've cleaned it to a state I thought I could only get from buying new parts etc.. Amazing vids, many thanks
Thank you so much, how refreshing to watch such an honest video, our washing machine needs the drum removed, as it’s full of mould, really hoping it will come off (it’s a Grundig). I will definitely be saving your clips for future reference. 🙏
Hi! I live in the States and came across your video looking to see about cleaning the boot on my Maytag. I replaced it about 7-8 years ago when the spider broke and I had to replace that. I bought the spider used on eBay for a good price and learned a lot in the process. Now the boot needs to be cleaned and I wanted to see what a good process would be. Your video was awesome and provided me with just what I needed to know to clean this. Boy, do they get disgustingly dirty! I look forward to going through more of your videos. Thank you very much for your guidance and clear instructions. It made me feel comfortable taking everything apart and I'm glad that the washing machine won´t end up being thrash. I made a little donation for your great work!

Agree on planned obsolescence, disagree that climate change is remotely a big deal, but I do agree it’s frustrating when people throw away stuff without attempting to understand the problem, how to fix it, and how to lower the chance of it happening again. Great vid, thanks!!!!!

Great video today as my time was short I use all the tips to clean the rubber without dissemble it but I am already on search of how to do it I have a Hoover one touch wash machine fairly new. We travelled and kept it closed so had a strange odour. I always cleaned the soap compartment and never looked up and saw there was some brown crust on it is now all cleaned. Thanks for this video.

Thumbs up, great video. It's a shame that modern machines are only build to last a few years and then it's usually uneconomical to repair the device. Learned a lot and will try it on our Miele machine on which I repaired the electronic last year.
Just got married in February and my wife’s LG washer has never been cleaned since 2013. It’s bad bad. The door seal is leaking from the buildup. Thank you for this video

The video needs movement and circulation, or soak wash rinse spin so to speak :)
Anyway, cheers to you both and remain kind, gentlemen!

This is the first UA-cam video that I didn't skip. Your calm and steady explanation is easily understandable for ESL speaker like me. Thank you
Wow I have watched 20+ tutorials for our Samsung washing machine trying to figure out how to deep clean it and remove the lime scale and mold/mildew build up because it’s ruining our clothes!
Same here.👍
I also found a babies bottle brush was handy when cleaning the roof of the soap dispenser compartment & other hard to reach parts.👍
It certainly helps, but not forever! Still, it's given me a few extra years before needing to intervene.
I do the same and I use a boil wash at least once a week
We have a Samsung WF218ANW with practically the same setup as the washer in this video, and I followed your instructions to the letter. I’m happily listening to the initial wash on highest and longest setting after it’s all back together again. I could NOT believe the foul gunk that had build up over the years. You’re a life saver!! Thank you for all your hard work and ability to make it easy to follow along. Much appreciated. 🙂🙂
yes it's hard to believe we are all washing clothes in it. thanks 👍 for watching and please remember to subscribe to the Channel as that's what keeps us going in able to make the video for you
I'll second that
In a word Brilliant.
And from a Scotsman that says a lot.
Great work mate, first time I have seen your channel
My wife now has dementia so I have for my first time ever in 70 years done a wash and realized how much the machine needs to be deep cleaned, wish me luck.

(I'm not as quick as you at disassembly/reassembly)
You have saved me hundreds of £ 👍
allways here to help, where i can

That was utterly brilliant.
Nothing has ever been presented as well as this.

You’re the best! I’ve managed to clean my machine to perfection & also gotten a bra wire out through the heating element hole thanks to your easy to follow tutorials! Thanks so much! ❤ xx
I am very grateful for this video. I rarely comment but really want to boost your channel.

I had to get help putting the inner spring back on but otherwise managed the whole thing by myself - my Dad was aghast when I sent him the photo when I’d dismantled everything 😂
This was so helpful and I am delighted to no longer be pulling my laundry out of the machine and find greasy streaks.

So wrong.
You are a god. Saved me $640 in repairs, or $1000 buying a new one. Thank you.

@@How-to-repair done and done.
Mold is a serious issue, and people don't know it.. thank you!
Without doubt, the best washing machine cleaning video that I've ever seen (and I've watched a few)

Thank you!
I'm humbled, thanks for your comment mate. I will use your donation to upgrade my video quality.
Thank you 🙏
I got it all out and I’m not going to clean it until my wife comes from work, I’m sure going to score some points today!!! 😂
Again thank you!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I did as you recommended and washer is now clean as a new one. This is an inexpensive and great DIY way to get the job done the right way.

This is truly a tremendous tutorial!
this is exactly what I needed, thank you so much for taking the time to put together such a comprehensive video. as others have said, what a decent chap you are!

Very informative and professional work.
I don't know how you do it in Britain, but we in Eastern Europe actually split the sealed tub, replace the bearings and reseal in back with epoxy.

A beautiful presentation. Many good tips. Thanks for sharing this experience. 💐💐💐

I'm glad we could help have a good New year
This video and one of your others has saved my hotpoint ultima going to the yard. We were getting black dots over our clothes from the mold. I removed and cleaned the seal and the powder chamber and hose and the jets. Likely original cause of the problem was the jets blocked with limescale. All cleaned out now and £500 on a new machine saved.

What a nice gentleman, thank you for the tutorial!
My pleasure!
Wow! I can't wait to get a minute to take care of this on my machine. I have tried to leave a bleach water solution sitting on the visible parts but now that I see how much is probably hiding in the back I will take it apart. Thank you for your help.

Thanks 👍
So funny, just bought a house that came with this washer. So glad I found you,, my washer will be clean shortly.

A really good video
I personally use a small amount of washing up liquid and bleach every month or so, a small amount of washing up liquid and bleach (a teaspoon of each) doesn't foam up too badly
I then use my dish cloths as the "rags" to agitate the water, it gives the dish cloths a really good clean in the process too, I leave my dish cloths in disinfectant periodically also, but a boil wash with bleach does them wonders
I leave the machine door and detergent drawer open in between washes, and I live in a soft water area too
I have never had any issues with mould build up or a smelly washing machine as a result of following some simple steps to prevent it
Wow! Thank you so much for all that info. This will certainly extend the life of my machine! 👏👏👏👏🇨🇦
Brilliant, all I'd like to add though is sometimes it's a good idea to take pictures of parts in place before removing, that way you can refer to the pictures when re installing them making sure they go back exactly as they were originally installed, thanks Paul 😊

You're very professional and helpful. I appreciate that and hope business is great for you.👍 Cheers!

Thank you very much for your guidance and clear instructions. It made me feel comfortable taking everything apart and I'm glad that the washing machine won´t end up being thrash. I made a little donation for your great work!

Thank you so much for all the tips. I’m not sure I can pull my apart but I’ll certainly do the boil wash. I’ve use the dish detergent to clean mine frequently.

Agree on planned obsolescence, disagree that climate change is remotely a big deal, but I do agree it’s frustrating when people throw away stuff without attempting to understand the problem, how to fix it, and how to lower the chance of it happening again. Great vid, thanks!!!!!

Amazing video. Great advice on removing the gunk from around the drum. So many other videos completely leave out that step and even the tip to top up the boil wash and leave it soak
