Random question but with any type of Point of Sale incentive/discount, do you pay sales tax on the price before all the discounts are applied? For example, if a person in Colorado bought an EV and got $7500 federal tax credit + $5000 Colorado tax credit off of the vehicle.

Sale tax still calculated based on the sale price before the fed and state incentives/credit. I just placed the order last month for model Y, and that’s the calculation for the sale tax.
Guess that’s more like the tax return rather than the discount of the car.
