The way I see it the Super duty and the ram are both good but they fall under In different categories in my opinion, I’d get the ford power stroke if I had a family and a tow hauler/ boat just because it’s a little bit faster and I’ll have that confidence merging on the highway and quick accelerating power passing a vehicle on the right lane especially on a steep incline, yeah the exhaust break isn’t the best but I’m pretty sure you’ll be fine towing those trailers they’re big and heavy but they don’t weigh that much , as long as you know what your doing and have experience towing you should be fine stopping safely. Where on the ram side I’d get it if you were doing a lot of heavy towing like gooseneck trailer’s transporting cars or dump trailers filled with gravel shingle debri or rocks, and especially if you live in a area where there are a lot of hills that’s when that Cummins exhaust break would shine stoping power , but either way you can’t go wrong with any of them , it’s just which one suits you and which one you like better if I had the choice I’d go with the power stroke beautiful good overall truck but no hate towards the ram also good looking truck just personal preference 🤷♂️👌
Delete the Cummins and problem solved.
Except the dodge trucks can’t stay on the road, get worse fuel mileage, and are far slower than the ford. (Owner of both a 22 powerstroke F250 and a SRW 3500 Cummins)
As someone who's been in construction for half my professional career. I do not need an exhaust break when towing/hauling heavy. That's what good heavy duty truck and properly setup trailer breaks are for. I've hauled many things with ford's, rams and GM's. And prefer ford's for their power. They also had better heavier duty breaks as well.
@@brucehirsch5437 I've hauled as heavy as 275,000 lbs gross. You would have been laughed off the job with your theory.
@@brucehirsch5437 tell that to all the truckers. They'll just laugh at you. Save your "brakes" man.
Pulled up an 8% with an 2021 F350 diesel pulling a 40ft 15k plus fifth wheel. Truck never struggled nor did it feel I was pulling anything.
I have a 2017 F350SRW and a 2019 F450. My trailer is a 2018 Jayco Seismic, coming in at 20,500lbs. I tow through the mountains constantly. Downhill on a 7% grade, I never touch the brake or accelerator, I use adaptive cruise. If I want to go from 65mph to 45mph, I hit the decelerator button.
Ford uses engine + transmission software to control your speed.
Those that are looking for a violent feel with the ex brake, just need to stay with Ram, Ford focuses more on the speed you want to go.
I have never been more relaxed while towing than I have with these two trucks. No drama.
Fair enough
Love the video! One thing why don't you have your seat belt on. Your boy dies. Lol be safe.
Ram has a violent exhaust brake. I’ve owned all 3 brands. The Ford has the softest exhaust brake but I still prefer everything else about the Ford over the other two.
I don't even have an HD truck...yet. My 2019 RAM 1500 with HEMI though, will maintain whatever speed I have set on cruise coming down a hill while towing my travel trailer. It's pretty impressive for not having an exhaust brake.
Enjoyed the video, great job. When at that level, both trucks are very good, but don't forget that when the RAM is turning into a pile of rust, the Ford will will still be shiny because of the aluminum construction. The added advantage of the aluminum is Ford made the frame stiffer because they had the weight savings from the body. I own a '21 F350 dually 6.7 and tow 16,400 with it. It performs VERY well. Keep up the good work JB.
The Ford aluminum body may be there but the chassis and everything under the truck will be gone...gone...gone
If you put the exhaust break in automatic mode it will solve the problem. I tow in auto mode and the descent it under complete control on the steepest of grades. It also downshift automatically if you put the brakes on.
^^This comment is gold^^
Brad you are 100 right
Automatic holds the speed, manual will continually slow the rig down until the throttle is applied.
I agree.
Even hot shot guys that have tried both trucks say the Ford exhaust brake is SHI* compared to the Ram
In the ford when you’re going down hill you need to use the cruise so the truck knows how fast you want to go. It will hold that speed without using brakes. You’re right on the exhaust brake on the ram, it’s ALWAYS working. I’ve found on my F350 it’s a lot stronger when it’s in cruise control
Love that ford. I worked for Chrysler in Newark Delaware building the dodge Durangos for over 8 years.
That’s awesome!
After owning 2017 F250 6.7 for the last 5 1/2 years and now having a 2022 Ram 3500 6.7 HO, I am glad I made the switch to the Cummins platform. Night and day difference on the exhaust brake and temps on the trans, not to mention not having to worry about a CP4 pump failure due to fuel viscosity fluctuations. After spending $12,000 on a CP4 failure in the Ford that isn't covered under warranty or insurance gives me peace of mind with the Cummins since they reverted back to the CP3.
I made the switch to power stroke from a Cummins and I am elated much happier with the trans and power compared to the Cummins. Now I loved the Cummins but my dodge cost me more in short order to fix the issues the truck itself had than my powerstroke has. Both are good trucks
see if you can use the Ford for one more pull. Set the Engine Brake for 60 mph and let it go.... then try it with the Ram. Find a nice decline, it will not go over 60 mph. My 6.7 holds the load back easily .
I agree my f450 and f350 both hold the speed. I owned a dodge and it's a dog when to my 17 6.7l and my 23 450 6.7h.o is at another level. So far it's the best dually I've ever owned.
Ford powerstroke for the win love it
If you are hooking a gooseneck. When coupled you should see very little of groove below the gooseneck ball. This video shows a high pin. Not sure it was processed of filming or what not. But if you are "hooked" and looking at alot of the groove or curvature under the ball. You are high pinned (latch that should be holding underneath to keep the trailer from coming off) is standing on top of the ball.
My brother has a ram I got a ford got them the same time work the same job pull 20k all over the country and both are great trucks only difference is his ram needed one tranny my ford has shit the cp4 2x and had the motor pulled twice for the oil pan gasket leaking and now I got blow by and trans shifting hard say what you want but my next truck will be a ram and not to mention the hard plastic in this thing that rattles like a bucket of bolts.
Super Duty die hard fan right here n Super Duty 4 life JB
If you do more comparison videos like this, it will generate views! I’ve been with you since the beginning and am rooting for you. Focus on quality not quantity. Comparisons. Even if you have to rent a truck, borrow, 24 hour test drive. Great video brotha
Not every video is for everyone, I personally post what I find helpful to me will be helpful for someone else even if it’s just a few. Thanks for your support 👍🏾
It’s sure nice to have these great trucks to choose from, they’re all pretty damn good these days. I’m a ford fan but I spent a decade working out of a super duty in the oilfield. Overloaded, shitty roads, some brutal conditions and never had any problems. Ford was by far the most common service truck in the oil patch, the dodge ruled on the highway running hotshot service and the chevies were pretty non existent in the service side of the oilfield. A lot of pumpers ran half tons for checking wells and such but no heavy duty use…
I drive a 2022 Supercab F550 daily for work (previously had a 2020 Supercab F550). I'm in and out of it all day, lots of miles and hours, and it weighs about 15,000lbs on the norm, I'm currently at 26,000 miles on the 2022, and over 2400hrs. Both of those were/are 10 speeds. The 2020 10spd took a crap at 8,500 miles and had to be brought in for repair, it ended up putting about 35,000 miles on that one before I jumped in the 2022. The 2022 10spd so far, has been doing okay at a total of 26,000 miles. From my understanding, the 10spd transmissions are non serviceable. That is what the mechanics in my fleet have told me. No filters to change, no drain valves, no pans etc. There isn't even a dip stick under the hood. Multiple other F550s with 10spds have had problems as well.
The exhaust brake on both the 2020 F550 and the 2022 F550 were completely random when they would come on. I've had both trucks run through the Allegheny mountains in PA, and never noticed the exhust brake working like in my personal 2014 3500 SRW Ram Cummins. I pull a 5th wheel travel trailer (also with gen 2 Goosebox) with my personal truck, and the exhaust brake is nothing short of IMPRESSIVE, on how it will slow the combination down at will.
My current 2022 F550 scoots pretty good for as heavy as it is (the 2020 did as well). But I truly think after putting over 50,000 miles between two different 6.7L Powerstrokes with 10spd transmissions, that it is just too many gears. It's always searching for gears, tends to hangout in some gears much longer then others, it skips gears in search of a higher one. I mean whats the point of 10 gears, really? You can't even service it.
I'd like to see an 8spd trans offered for some of these heavy (light duty) duty diesel trucks.
I'll take the inline 6 over either of the V8's anyday.
What people need to understand is that transmissions with more gears need to be down shifted two maybe three times to have the same results as a transmission with less gears will get with one down shift. Semi trucks can have 9,10,13,15 even 18 speed transmissions. More equals closer ratios. More down shifts are required to get the same results as transmission with less gears
Cummins burns through def and is too sluggish speaking as a former Cummins owner. My dad also bought a new 3500 dully for a 40ft fifthwheel camper and hated it. The truck wasn't stable on the road with highwinds,, and for whatever reason seemed to struggle uphill. After two months he traded for a F350 dually and has had no issues.
I’ve driven a deleted 21’ powerstroke and I believe the exhaust brake was better because of the tune. I’ve never thought it was bad but also don’t have a cummins to compare to. Even with a 3.31, that truck dragged anything you wanted. Power is insane. The truck has so much power in stock form though that you can’t hardly tell much difference in power with or without a tune
Yep mine is eons better since the tune and delete I have a 21 tremor
Great video JB good to see Mikey P I really think it is hard to pick among the heavy duty’s I think it comes down too preference but power wise that ford is hard to beat but that looks like fun good job
Thanks Christopher, Mikey P owns his business so it’s hard to pull him away lol!
Great Channel btw. I like when people are unbiased when doing videos. JB is definitely a Ram guy, but he gave props to the SD where he shouod have.
On a diesel, an exhaust brake, (Jake Brake), is VERY important, as diesels do not have much engine braking the way a gasser does, as diesels generally don't have throttle plates.
the superduty exhaust brake works beautifully on steep descents. i've noticed on flat, it doesn't help much.
Ford is the best, period.
I know I always give you shit, but I’m not brand loyal to any brand whatsoever. In my honest opinion, and I’ve towed with both, the new fords just cannot be beat. It’s the best towing truck on the market
The ford truck is great but I like the feel of the RAM a lot more
You should feel the ford when tuned, even the mildest tune turns off torque management in first 3 gears. Truck will spin really easy after
Yea I don’t want that, I would just want the engine to be able to breath
@@JB_WhoWork mine breathes better, deleted 🤙🏽 only a mild tune but turned off all the nanny’s
The power stroke has more torque behind it so it dose take more to stop so without the stiffness of the ram power train will also give you that faster slowing
Use the tow haul with auto setting on the the exhaust brake. It will work better. The Dodge with the Cummins does have a better exhaust brake though. We have a couple 5500's left where I work. (We had a lot of drive line component issues) They are phasing them out and going back to F550's.
I tow a toy hauler with a 2019, SRW F350, four door long wheel base, 6.7 it does everything I need it to do.
I really enjoyed watching this. great honest review! keep them comin.
An exhaust brake is not meant to stop your truck. It is meant to maintain speed or reduce speed when descending steep grades. This helps prevent brakes from overheating and failure. If you notice on the Ford when you are going down a hill and you tap the brake on your descent the truck never goes over that speed that the braked was tapped. Why would you want your truck to continue to slow? Then you have to give it gas again while descending to get back to the speed limit. That makes no sense. I have pulled our camper across the country and I don't even turn on exhaust brakes unless I am in the mountains.
I have an F350 myself for our fifth wheel and love it. I know this is you buddies truck but the Tremor is not setup for a fifth wheel. It is the Raptor of the Super Duty family. The tow rating on the F350 without the Tremor package would give much better towing capacity and the tires are setup for towing versus off-road. I wish the Tremor was setup to tow like the regular F350 as I had a Raptor before my F350 and they are a great looking truck. Just setup for a different use.
The Goodyear Duratracs on a Tremor are E rated and have a pretty good load capacity.
The Tremor and regular F350 have virtually the same gooseneck/5th wheel tow ratings. Check out the 2022 Ford Fleet & RV towing guide.
It losses 5k conventional towing. 5th wheel is same either way.
Did you ever find out if that Ford is tuned? I’d love to know if it’s stock or has some emmisions safe tuning.
There is break assist setting you need to change in the computer, to increase breaking, ford default is low assist, therefore you feel is not slowing down
Just finished a 2700 mile trip in my recently purchased F350. Coming from a Ram with a 68rfe, the Ford rides better and is more comfortable. RAM fit and finish on the interior is much better.
The Ford does not work as hard pulling my 15k 5th wheel and the ability to get up to speed is insane.
Lastly, the Power Stroke on its best day will never sound as good as a Cummins.
Ram MPG is better
@@jamestopeka2236 not in my experience. I averaged better mpg in the Ford while pulling a heavier load.
@@oldnumber6
Yours must be something extra because here that's not the case ... But not all are the same even if it's the same orange , once in a while one stand's out better .
@Unleashed Spar
Sorry your comprehension didn't understand , you just repeated the same thing I said but with different vocabulary . Lol
@Unleashed Spar
Read my comment again .. no two oranges are the same ... but over all I found the Ram to be better on MPG ..Example here at the mines we haul heavy loads and over all the Ram is better for us but once in a while a Ford will do better than a Ram but over all the same Fords don't... We had a Ram that held the record for 6 years then a Ford beat it by 2 MPG till a New Ram took that record back.... I like Ford and Ram but facts are facts ..Most of the miners here left Ford and Chevrolet and this is Ram County now .... plus the Ram looks better but the Ford does ride better. 90 % of our coal Trucks are Cummings motors .
Good to see Mikey P. back in the vids.
Exhaust brake in auto is definitely way better. It will hold the speed that you essentially set when you let off the brake going down a steep grade. I certainly think Rams exhaust brake may be more intuitive but once you learn in ins and outs of the Ford it works good.
I made a mistake when going down to the Smoky Mountains and went on Rt 19 through Maggie Valley on my way to Cherokee, NC instead of taking Rt 74 to Rt 441 with my 9,000 travel trailer. When I passed Soco Falls my 2020 F-250 with the 6.7 PS was at 3800 rpm. It held 30 mph down a 6% grade for close to 8 miles without hitting the brakes. It held that gear and speed for close to 20 minutes. I could tell my wife was uneasy with how loud it was in the truck but I was confident with my ability to stop and control the truck down that steep twisting road.
My oil temp was at 240 degrees going up the hill and 215 coming back down. I could only imagine what my rear diff temps were. I’ll be changing rear diff fluid this winter.
Cowee mountain long long steep grades. Awesome to hear it did well I will be pulling through there next year with a 9k lbs tt. That pass was my only concern on that planned trip.
I owned 13 Cummins Rams and now have a Ford Powerstroke. The Powerstroke TRUCK is VASTLY superior. The 6.7 PS is fantastic. The exhaust brake... what exhaust brake?
Lol
Ford did a great job with the 6.7 powerstroke. The transmissions in Super Duty’s have always been solid no problem there . The Allison 10L1000 transmission is a fraternal twin of the Ford TorqShift 10 Speed 10R140. In fact, this transmissions internal components are largely interchangeable with those of the Ford, the parent engineer of this product. Ford also has a superior cooling system over GM and Fiat. They run hotter but it’s keeps running GM Fiat get that hot need to stopped to cool down.
Chrysler is now Peugeot, which is even worse.
You’re so misinformed
@michaelbenardo5695 one more reason to buy a ford superduty.
Man if ford had ram exhaust brake they would dominate the market
Since I’ve tuned and deleted my powerstroke has been so much better, more boost and better mpg. Not to mention the insane power difference. I love
The Cummins as well but it’s the only thing dodge outsources that’s worth a damn. The rest of the truck for me has been nothing but problematic.
There is 2 settings for the exhaust brake. Put in automatic and it’s a much stouter brake. Most people don’t know about this feature
I can see why there are a lot of Ford fans. That thing sure seems strong but I think Ram will pull anything I need pulled and look better doing it lol🇺🇸💪
Who Work 🇺🇸💪🏾
@@JB_WhoWork RAM
Hey guys! Add fiat on ram....Ram+Fiat. Ram has been partly Italian truck. Let us give credit to who it belongs to, RamFiat it is.
The 1st world problems of what 90k$ truck we prefer... if you are driving a newer turbo diesel of the big 3 you should just feel blessed and fortunate 🙌.
Thanks for your time on this Video.Great Information!
You gotta learn how to use the camera. Works great! You have to trust the dotted line and start putting the gooseneck in line with the line starting at your tailgate and it will put your right on the ball. I know it looks like the line does not line up perfectly with the ball but it does, just trust it. I used to have issues with it becuase I would try and line it up once the gooseneck got in the bed, by that time its to late to get it lined up. (This is for ford trucks).
The RAM needs to be adjusted but I just eyeball it now
I don’t think that Ford has 3.31 gears because it has the Tremor package. I could be wrong but I think it’s either 3.55 or 3.73
Iv both Ram 2500 deleted and f350 deleted I like to f350 better jack breaks and the turbo is super crazy
On the old 2016 F350 the engine braking was ridiculous. I’m shocked you didn’t like it on this one.
I should have tried it in cruise control to see if it was any better 👍🏾
I’ve never driven a truck that will hold 10th( top) gear going up a grade towing. I’m getting 11 mpg pulling with the Ford over 8 pulling with the RAM. I’ve found the Ford goes down steep grades better and the transmission isn’t always hunting for gears.
I disagree with you, RAM has the best transmission for towing and the amount of confidence you get with the downshifts are miles better. The Ford transmission is much better to live with day to day but because I’m towing 80% of the time, I rather just have the Aisin
The Ford isn't always hunting for gears? That's all that 10speed does is hunt for gears.
@@asheetuglasse I'm on my 2nd 10 speed ford and you are wrong. It precisely knows what gear it needs for your input. If not it needs a update because something is wrong with the particular vehicle you referenced. I love cummins motors but have to call out misinformation when I see it.
@@Metal_Stacking so you're saying it'll hold which ever gear you are in going up or down a hill and not shift from that first initial gear change? I call b.s.
@@asheetuglasse call bs all you want I tow with a 10 speed. It has never hunted for gears if the motor is going into high boost on a grade it will down shift to a gear that lowers boost and holds speed. Honestly it seems to always pick the most fuel efficient gear for what is being asked of it.
That's not a 5th wheel my brother. That's a gooseneck. Big difference. Yes you are right that you do not need chains with a 5th wheel. But the 5th wheel is the tractor trailer style hitch. You have a gooseneck set up with the ball and you do need chains for that.
Use the headrest on the back seat to line up. The middle of that is where the ball is lined up.
In the rear view mirror. Works 100% a time.
FWIW, the Tremor/Diesel combo comes with 3.55s, not 3.31s (due to the bigger tires). Great review, by the way!
Doesn't look like a Tremor other than a sticker. It the wrong wheels. And wrong chin spoiler.
@@bradgreene2553 Good points. I saw that big spoiler, but it didn't register.
And when JB went through the drive modes (either this video or the one before it), there was no Rock Crawl mode, which only comes on the Tremors. Seems like the friend he borrowed it from just put some Tremor stickers on it like the kids throwing “Type R”, “AMG”, or “M” badges on their cars back in the day. :)
Definitely not a tremor what’s so ever probably a fx4
Many, many, many people who reviewed the PS all say the same thing about the exhaust brake. The newer trucks, 20+ 10spd exhaust seems to be better than the old 6spd but no where as good as the cummins. I agree, the exhaust brake is the only downside to the PS. I don't think it's just the 10 speed trans that's the problem as gm is even worse... According to TFL, almost %50. So it's a design issue. With my Ram, I didn't even realize my trailer brakes were out of adjustment because the ram exhaust brake works so well. @TFL, Ram, 0 brake applications, Ford 5 and GM 9 towing 30k while coming down Loveland pass. No comparison the Ram exhaust brake is far superior. Only other downside is I'd hate to lose my air suspension.
Even in the class 8 semi truck world nobody can touch the power of the Cummins engine brake
Yeah and the Ford beat the other two at the top by a HUGE margin in that same comparison. The Ford exhaust brakes have different settings most people don’t know.
I believe on that video with zero brake applications, they said the truck applies the brakes as needed to hold the speed, so the zero is technically not accurate when it comes to brake wear and heat.
The Camaras are the way to hook up a gooseneck or a 5th wheel, it's way better to use a 5th wheel, attachment for a 5th wheel, the dual wheel is way better then single rear wheel can carry less weight then a single rear wheel
Koons in VA is currently offering 6% under invoice for a Ram order, this is slightly better than employee pricing. I ordered a 3500 in mid-May through them.
Good to know!
Ford exhaust brakes work with the brakes, computer, and tow mode. It actually works really good. Just drove mine from Alaska to the 48. I wasn't touching the brakes and my buddy's 3500 ram he was still braking. Cummings exhiast brake is good but the Ford works just as good IMO
Your friend forgot to turn it on if he was hitting the brakes lol
You could also put a supercharger on the gas for the same price as the diesel truck then theyll both be boosted and the same dollar value. Then see what happens? Lol
Quick note on the F350, just started binging these comparison videos cause they’re great but I’m pretty sure since the F350 is the tremor package it comes standard with the 3.55 gear ratio
Thanks for watching, my friend bought the truck used and someone just added the decal lol!
Man I couldn’t imagine living somewhere where deleting your truck is illegal.
As a diesel mechanic and a former semi truck owner, I was never that impressed with Cummins heavy diesels. There were better options. I was recently seriously considering an HD Ram with the Cummins but I'm leaning hard towards the Duramax instead. The engines are very close to each other but the Allison transmission is kind of pulling me that direction. That and the GM trucks ride a LOT better in the one tons. That torsion bar from suspension GM uses is hard to beat. I was surprised they are still using it since they have since the beginning 90's. I guess there's a reason they've kept it all them years.
Keep in mind that youre also towing in a tremor. Tremors are designed more for offroad than towing...
I have a new 2022 F350 DRW hauling a new 2022 Alliance Valor 42V13 toy hauler. Camper weighs in at 15k empty, 20k GVWR. My 350 runs like it is not behind me. In trailer towing mode with engine braking engaged, I had no issue rolling down a steep grade. Engine braking is great. I believe the engine braking is on when you select trailer tow mode, if you hit the engine braking button you might have turned off the auto mode. The second thing I wonder is if the Tremor package changes the way it works. 8.2 mpg sounds about right, you reset the mileage with a bunch of down hill on the way back, so the mpg is slightly skewed due to that.
Thanks for sharing and man that’s a big rig! Yea I got 9.4 MPG which is probably about .4 MPG than my RAM on same road
Hey Scott, I have a 2021 F350 pulling 14300 empty and typically 15k loaded. I will tell you that the engine brake does not engage just by selecting tow mode, at least I have never seen anything to indicate it would be engaged when that mode is selected. That only engages the transmission to act differently. The engine brake button does show two modes, automatic and full. Some say the braking seems to work better on automatic, but you can actively hear the engine brake on the truck with the window down and hear the turbo back feed. That is how you know it is on via audibly. Just figured I would let you know.
@@joe2bear Thanks. Learning something new every day.
why all the short beds? Long beds way easier for turning 5th wheels.
10 speed trans is the trick dodge still using the 6
Let’s give that transmission super super hot at 2:20
Sadly neither will make it out of warranty without emissions troubles and a transmission.
Good morning brother. I think Ford makes a beautiful truck and a strong truck. I just like Ram better and have more confidence in it long term regarding reliability. Plus after having driven both I just enjoy driving the Ram more than the Ford. When a 6 cylinder can hang with a 8 cylinder and at way less RPM’s it just says something to me. If you ever plan to work on it not having to lift the entire body to get to the engine is a huge plus for me also.
What’s up Colonel! Great point on the performance comparison, the I6 is a great design, I remember the older BMW’s using it and it being it’s most reliable Powertrain 👍🏾👍🏾
You would pick a Chrysler product for reliability? The worst of the worst?
@@clifft7832 when it comes to diesel pickups…absolutely. All other things, no. You might want to look into the decade old class action law suits on the Ford and GM diesel issues. No brainer
@@Colonel1Bravo - 7.3 > 5.9 6.7 powerstroke > 6.7 Cummins.
What im hearing is that you identify the exhaust brake based on sound and not performance. And your friend had his mind made up before yall started driving. I tow the same trailer with my superduty and have zero issues.
The Cummins with a manual have the best exhaust brake in the light truck market. Not the best in terms of HP and torque but you will definitely slow to 15 without touching the brakes. Even down hill.
I can get down to about 5-10 mph if I have enough room before touching the brakes 👍🏾
Was your cruise on when you were checking the exhaust brake? Having cruise on even if not using it diminishes the effectiveness of it
Great point! The exhaust brakes in the V8 diesels don't hold a candle to the exhaust braking in the Cummins!!
Nope, it’s not even fair…
RAM is the only option for me
That Ford has the Tremor sticker, but not the Tremor front valence or wheels????? Not a Tremor?
Great video! I love your no BS approach. Thanks!
Yea he just a fan boy of Ram an aint nothing gonna change his mind even if that ford did 100% better he would still say no
Not sure if this was mentioned, was wondering if the Ford has rear airbags?
It did not
That is a nice set up cheers Mick Australia
These people saying the Ram is nicer and better on the inside? They must have made major improvements because my 18 Ram could not touch my 2011 f150
362 miles to empty damn 😂 my 350 holds like 750 miles
Call calibrated performance and tune your Ram. Emissions legal tunes. It will change your entire experience in the Ram. I do think Ram needs a 10 speed. And I do think the Ford has way more power. But I’m the long run. Nothing runs better than the Cummins.
if you give it over 90 MPG, then I would try that run
I always like Cummins engine and owned couple of them, but problem is that Ram never had good automatic trany in HD truck. Everybody was saying that 6 speed Aisin is a good one, but I test drive Ram 3500 and really can't stand that trany. I accelerate and trany shifted down with such delay was really annoying to drive that truck. If you drive GMC or Ford with 10 speed trany it is really night and day difference. Till Ram don't go with better more speed trany I will stay of those trucks . IMHO
For real. I want to see my truck
Pull youre fifth wheel. I would love to see my 2020 chevrolet 3500 high country pull a fifth wheel.
I just don't like that one day the cab has to come off those Powerstrokes to do the repairs that all trucks will eventually need. That engine bay is ridiculously stuffed full. No room to do anything under the hood. $$$$$$$$ to keep on the road long term.
The ford is an amazing truck don’t get me wrong but in my opinion nothing really compares to a Cummins from the exhaust break to just the performance and the torque of the engine alone the Cummins has been around for awhile now and it’s been good since day 1 I don’t know how many Powerstrokes from 7.3 6.0 6.4 now the 6.7 the 6.7 is a good engine built from ford but honestly the Cummins is king in a pick up truck the next step would be a CAT engine lol but that’s not an option
Just found your channel and love it! GREAT review!
Thanks 👍🏾
Tremor can't tow nearly as much as a regular F350 if that's what you do.
I really loved my test ride on a 2021 Ford F-350 Tremor before I purchased my Ram. I just couldn’t pull the trigger since they wanted over 4k more and the problems my friends and neighbors have run into. Otherwise I might have had a F350 PowerStroke.
Ford/RAM have always been back/forth and I really think RAM is a better rounded truck for towing 👍🏾
I have a 21 Tremor Platinum loaded out and have had zero issues You only hear about problems from the people that have problems (small %)the people that don’t you never hear anything from
@@trevormangus7832 I agree. The problem for me is I saw them with my own eyes. I really enjoyed the King Ranch Tremor I drove. The sales guy on the pricing turned me off pretty quick and my neighbor who had a ton of issues with his 6.7 told me to “think carefully” before I buy. Sounds like you have got a good one.
@@DavidBrown-jt7yi on my 6th ford only warranty claim I have ever had was a evap leak well known in a 15 mustang gt. 97 4.0. 03 6.0. 2011 v10. 19 3.5tt. 22 6.7. Everyone is entitled to brand bias its part of life. Everyone has heard a horror story about every brand and model at some point lol.
@@DavidBrown-jt7yi my buddies 220k mile ram cummins is on his 5th transmission lol he still loves the truck and so do I its stable and pulls amazing.
The diesel kills the payload...my gas 350 payload is 4289
Nice video. Next time show temps as you tow. Would be great
Thanks, I did show them in there 👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork I meant as you were doing 0-60 up the hill. I thought Ford had a summary of the temps like the Ram. The trans on the Ford seem really high 200 compared to the Ram.
Unfortunately they don’t but I hope they do it for the next model 👍🏾
Deleted won’t change the engine breaking.
Thank You Very Good Video!
😃
First off. Let’s set the record straight. Just incase ur not aware. FORD is the only manufacturer that designs and builds they’re own Diesel engines and transmissions themselves, without the HELP of outside companies assistance. Only thing Dodge and Chevy own rights too is the Body and frame and that’s questionable. So wen a company invests in themselves 100% then quite naturally they may come up short or not to certain people expectations somewhere. Ford don’t need Cummins, nor Isuzu to build they’re product to keep up. Think about that. Hmmmm!
Doesn’t matter who builds the Powertrain, that’s like a restaurant saying they breed their own cows… I don’t care, I just wanna eat steak 😂
Of course it does. If someone builds half ur truck for u, should u take all the credit. It’s like this. Ford been number 1 in truck sales 40 plus years, so if I can’t out sell u, I’m gonna go hire someone for help. I mean hell Ford hired international, u see how that went. 7.3 was great tho. But anyhow. The other two companies can’t truly take credit for a product they bought to hopefully give them an edge. And still didn’t work. That’s like Christopher Columbus discovered America. Yea sure he did. Wat he discovered was the Indians were already here living and raising families . Look wat happened. He’s got credit for it. Hmmmmm! Let’s be real.
I agree, let’s be real, 6.0L, 6.4L, and early 6.7L’s have all been problematic (ever heard of 6.blow). Tow Piglet has encountered issues with the 10 speed which he has documented on his channel as well. I get where you’re going but Ford should have always kept building engines with International. I have nothing against Ford SD’s but saying they are better because they build their Powertrain in-house is comical… They literally had lawsuits against every diesel after the 7.3L which to this day is highly regarded over the “built in house” Powerstroke
@@JB_WhoWork and good steak.😂
@@JB_WhoWork with rear main leaks cam sensor and in our co trucks in 99 step on skinny pedal engine would cough die leavin yo in middle of intersection, now let's get into A40d. Revolving door at ford.
Cummins, period!
💪🏾
IMHO if I'm getting a diesel, I'm getting a dually
Who work!!!! FORD
So u only have 600lb pounds available?
Pet peeve of mine. 80% of campers have wrong truck.
Anyone which will be best for hot shots ?
I think i hear you say "dumnail" ...lol.
The ford has a tremor sticker but standard lariat wheels and a non tremor air ram. Why did your buddy replace fx4 sticker with a tremor sticker
He didn’t do that
@@JB_WhoWork it’s definitely not a tremor, any idea why it has tremor sticker?
