Loved this! Would absolutely love tips on working and having emetophobia and agoraphobia. I don’t have any family. I need to have a job to support myself. I work 40+ hours a week. My mental health is like my secret. I would never tell anyone at work. I don’t know how to explain my absences? How often I don’t feel well and need to go home? (I always say migraine, and this is getting old). The constant internal struggle of when to go home and when to stay at work and vice versa? As you were talking about, how to know when what you’re doing, by just sitting in an office, is going to push you over that line between anxiety and panic? How it can all change so quickly? Anyone relate to this? It’s so isolating and lonely. You’re both lovely. Thanks for sharing, Charlotte. xx
It’s an everyday struggle, dear. I’m sorry to hear that. Know that we are all fighting our internal battles, so being true to yourself it’s the most important thing. Respect your needs and your time. You don’t need to be open about your personal life at work, but letting them know you are taking care of your health, or even battling anxiety if you are willing to say, might help them understand and support you. We have more episodes about agoraphobia and emetophobia coming up, so stay tuned! Thank you for sharing with us! 💗
Hi, Eleanor. 🧡 We received your comments on Anna's interview about emetophobia, and we wanted to say that we totally understand how you feel. Anxiety Chats was created to be a safe space for everyone and we don't disapprove any of your comments as they are expressions of yourself. Feel more than comfortable to share your experiences and feelings. We want to hear from you! Let's work together to create this great support network, right? 🧡😊 Thank you for collaborating and helping other people who also suffer from anxiety, lovely!!!
