I did a similar Ahi Tuna today (I used wasabi powder & Thai lemongrass marinade to season it before the sesame seeds. I skipped five spice.) Love your cucumber salad. There is something so beautiful about sliced green cukes and purple ribbons of onion that makes it a treat before it’s finished and dressed. This salad is a keeper. Thanks!
Made this last night. Amazing!, I will definitely prep the sauce and sesame seed mixture ahead of time to save time. Will make it again. I didn’t do the rice. No carbs for me and I am not big on white rice.
Made this bowl the other night and we loved it! Super easy to make and very tasty. Will make again and again. the only thing I can add as a caveat is if you are planning to use this as a recipe for your weekly food prep, set aside the veg before dressing. It won't make it through to the next day if dressed. Otherwise, super happy and plan to find more recipes from your collection. Thanks!
Freezing doesn't kill bacteria. I'm fixing to go double check that but I'm pretty confident in that. FDA agrees freezing doesn't kill bacteria but I did read that freezing fish kills parasites present in the fish
@@ChefAnge Yes they were fine. I pan seared them in cast iron skillet. Unfortunately from a small E. Texas town I couldn't find enough of the ingrediants to make this but I have a list and will give it a shot soon. I do like seared tuna and enjoyed it last night. Good vid pod's, I'm subscribed.
I have them on hand. Other people have them on hand. YOU don’t have have them on hand. I just didn’t know YOU were gonna watch my video. Sorry about that.

Thank you and that’s Great tip so the cucumber salad doesn’t get too soggy!
I think you could use unagi ( eel sauce on this) It has a salty sweet savory taste.
Thanks man! My kid and I had a great time fixing this!
I love getting messages like this! Thank you so much
Looks amazing! (As always.) Great tip about cleaning and seasoning your cast iron!
It’s my favorite pan to cook with! So easy to clean and it doesn’t even have to go in the sink!
I would suggest using short grain rice like poke/sushi rice, washed 4x first, then while warm seasoned with some rice wine vinegar.
Nice.
@@ChefAnge Will definitely try a variation of this tonight though! Have some tuna in the fridge already. Thanks for the video!
Excellent recipe
So nice of you! 👍😁
If you're looking through the comments to see if it's worth making.. Make it!!!! The Cucumber salad was so freakin good and the tuna was chefs kiss 🤌🤤

Made this last night and everyone agreed it was delicious. Best to let the pan get really hot, so the outside gets a little crispy!
AMAZING!!! Going to do it now

Beautiful meal! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you 😋
You know it’s good when he stops looking at the camera and only looks at the food as he eats it. That’s for real.
The taste tests are as real as it gets! 😜
Great job! Everything looks amazingly delicious 😋
Thank you 😋

We definitely love an easy meal.

Like always you come through dude! I've been afraid of doing tuna steaks for my girl. Tonight it's on! Thanks again for making cooking easy! 😉

If we don’t like cucumbers what’s a good substitute for the vegetables or salad
🤷🏻♂️lettuce maybe?

Flash freezing. Not just freezing it in your freezer. www.todaysfarmedfish.org/flash-frozen-is-the-new-fresh
That’s literally how sushi is called sushi. Flash frozen…frozen. But it needs to be like -4 or something crazy most regular freezers don’t go to.
Bought Ahi Tuna at Sam's............froze them myself and thawed them. Can I still sear these if the may or may not have been "flash frozen"?
I’m not food safety expert but I would say Definitely. Just make sure they are thawed before.

Where can I find the Bowl and Basket Ahi Tuna?
Shop Rite brand. Any brand will do. Check the fish or frozen food in your local supermarket
👏👏👏
Thanks Frank!
is the recipe for 2 or 4 people?
This can feed 4. I always cook to have lots of leftovers.
where did you get the ahi tuna from?
Shop Rite
I think a couple of thin slices of jalapeño would be nice if you wanted to bring a little heat to the table
❤❤❤
😊😊😊
Your knife skills are fine, idk what people are talking about. 🤷♂️
Haters gonna hate! They can’t help themselves
🥰🥰
🙏🙏
Great recipe but there’s some stuff that could be done differently that could make the whole thing that much better
Thanks! Pobody’s nerfect!

Cooking: 15 minutes. Cleaning vegetables, pans, utensils etc: 45 minutes 😭😭
45 min to clean a pan, a small pot and a bowl?
Substitute "super" for having a vocabulary.
SUPER! 🦸🏻♂️
"Fast and Easy". Go buy a bunch of asian ingredients you never have on hand... Really fast

@@ChefAnge it's ok, we all make mistakes lol
ironically enough, have everything he used in this video. right down to the exact same products even 😂😂
@@mmjunebug thanks for being forgiving. I’ll check with you for the future videos.
@Chef Ange lol 2 months later my comment is still bugging you? Hope you can move on soon, man. Didn't mean to impact you so deeply.
Every chef will cringe when watching you use a knife…
Thank you!
