I want to say thank you. You have helped me prepare for tests and stay ahead in class for the last nearly 4 years now. It's amazing how many different subjects you have explained so simply. You helped me through Math 8, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Algebra 3, Precalc, AP Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, SAT prep, now AP Physics and AP Calculus. It is honestly because of you I could manage to get ahead and skip math levels. It is amazing how much time and effort you have devoted into your channel. Please keep up the wonderful and simple content for the younger generations that will soon be scouring for help. I really wish you good karma in your life.

19:22 Since the ball is moving toward the negative direction, dy has to be given with a negative sign unless the absolute value is the solution asked for
Just started my first main physics class (3 more to go) and I'm already mad struggling. I already failed 2 quizzes three weeks in and got an exam tomorrow. Nervous as hell but after restudying all your kinematics, free fall, and projectiles, I feel that it's all coming together now.
Mans is helping me more in a 28 minute video than my teacher has been able to. Not a single bit of explaining for the last 3 total hours of class run time when discussing projectile motion
That for the endless efforts, I managed to go through most of your videos which really helped me in the university and I can boastfully move on the streets all because of your generosity
Thank you so much. My teachers in uni are not helpful at all. They literally tell us to get a private tutor as they are 'busy', but your channel helped me so much and I finally understand something from physics. Thank you so much.
Orgo chem tutor, thank you so much for your help all of these years. You have helped me through all of my high school math classes and now into college physics, which I have been struggling with this semester. You have saved many students' grades and boosted my confidence!
I enjoyed this in Physics, but once we got to mgh=(1/2)mv^2, then the world opened up. We modeled so many things after that, constrained only by materials, cube-square, and resonance. But ballistics was a favorite. Wrote a bawdy experiment based on a awkward question posed among chums at 2:00am.
Most excellent video. Very clearly explicated. My complements esp. in your moderately paced vocal delivery where information had time to sink in and as well for not overloading your video with lots of written verbiage. One of the first videos I looked at to understand these kinematic equations suffered greatly from these two problems--vocals rushed with lots of words written across the screen--leaving me very taxed and frustrated.. Subscribed! I'll certainly be back for more. Thank you, thank you.
25:19 I would think the parabolic equation does not go this way since the curve always opens downward, the leading coefficient has to be always negative, and since the object is moving downward the constant c of the equation has to be always positive such that the equation looks like yf=-4.9t^2+30t+800
You make it so effortlessly easy for us to understand the topics which are supposed to be problematic. You are a true symbol of online tutors. I mean it sir, live long 🫶
The ball is not exerting any force itself, rather the only force acting on it is gravity (ignoring air resistance) and since gravity pulls things down (if you're standing on the earth) it must be negative

Hy brother and a teacher,I want you to make up another video on projectile motion with many examples and how to solve them bcoz I have watched both of the 2 videos on projectiles but I'm having a difficulty handling questions; probably I'm not able to handle any question yet I know and have the equations with me
11:06 I didn't understand why is this equation is used to find the velocity of an object right before it hits the ground. I would be grateful is someone explains.
@@twinicebear775 yea I got that but what is the logic behind using this specific equation for finding the velocity of an object right before it hits the ground.
The path that the ball takes is v and since v is a vector it's components are vx and vy. So as we can see, v along with it's components is a right triangle, that can be solved via pythagorean theorem. As for why before it hits the ground, this may be because the ball could come back up and change it's direction, velocity and momentum. Soo, that could change stuff
24:46 g= + 9.8 and g= -9.8 is confusing My teacher taught us that when an object is acting in the direction of gravity = + 9.8 but here it is -9.8 Scared 😨 cus I have an exam next tomorrow
No, i think gravity, because of pulling things downwards is always negative. Anything that goes up or right would have a positive velocity and anything going down or left would have a negative velocity
Can you help with the solution to this, especially the d part? a stone is projected at an angle of 60degree to the horizontal with velocity of 30m/s. calculate: a. the highest point reached. b. the range. c. the time taken. d. the height of the stone at the instant the path make an angle of 30 degree with the horizontal. Is significant figures required when solving for projectile motion?
in the last example a is meant to be positive 9.8 not negative 9.8, because the ball is acting in the same direction as gravity
The ball is not exerting any force itself, rather the only force acting on it is gravity (ignoring air resistance) and since gravity pulls things down (if you're standing on the earth) it must be negative
