    Ok first of all thanks for the vid. I’m about 187 pounds kind of fit free diver. I have not been in the water for some 3 years although I swim and exercise regularly. I bought some carbon fiber fins that I used a lot years ago and they are kind of uncomfortable now as far as stiffness goes, they have a label that reads “stiffness Nr 3” witch lets me to believe there the hardest one. I’m ready to buy a new pair of carbon fibers one and I think “medium” stiffness would be ok ? I free dive up to -80 feet deep.. any input will be appreciated. Thanks

    So I'm an 85kg guy only 1.76M tall...so I'm pretty muscular with strong legs.
    I was looking into buying leader fins here in the Phillipines because of the price...it's very affordable. So should I purchase the medium stiffness carbon fins? I'm use to plastic fins and want to improve on my 100M dynamic bifins
    Thanks for any recommendations or advice 🙏

    Hello. We all talk about the diver's weight to determine whether to buy a soft, medium or hard blande. But how to determine the length of the blande? The amplitude of movement of the leg of a diver who is 2m tall and one who is 1.5m tall is not the same.
    When my girlfriend, who is 1.65m tall, 45kg, tried diving with the carbon soft fins of the 70cm board, she felt uncomfortable and couldn't coordinate the movements properly. The fins were to large for her . Is there any calculation for this problem?

    I bought leaderfins fiberglass with wrong size foot pocket and I purchased other foot pockets, but when We put the old blade in the new pockets there is a small difference in the holes in the blades.
    We managed to put them, but the bolts are not straight (just different angle), so my question is is there a possibility my fins to brake because of that?
    And how can I prevent my fins to get broken (soft fiberglass)?

    • @badfishdivechannel3467
      @badfishdivechannel3467  3 роки тому

      Hi! As long as the drilled holes are not on the bend of the blade it should be fine. We have had experience with misdrilled blades which needed to have a new pair of holes to be drilled to align properly with the footpockets and there have been no problems. Issues usually arise when the drilled holes are at or too close to the bend.

    Is there a difference in stiffness of pure carbon fins vs fiber glass fins?
    Does the soft pure carbon fins give more power compare to soft fiber glass fins?
    If thier stiffness are different may be I should get medium stiffness fiber glass to get the power of a soft pure carbon fins to save money?

    • @badfishdivechannel3467
      @badfishdivechannel3467  Рік тому +1

      The stiffness should be the same between pure carbon and fiberglass. Pure carbon fins are more reactive than fiberglass fins and will be lighter.

      @grayvin Рік тому

      @@badfishdivechannel3467 thank you so much, it's now clear to me what is their differences. Last question does the pure carbon is more reactive than carbon fiber or they are just the same? And the pure carbon is just lighter? Tia

    • @grayvin
      @grayvin Рік тому +1

      I found a video from Leaderfins saying pure carbon is more reactive than carbon fiber and fiber glass. Okay I made my mind that I'll take a pure carbon. I just thought that I can have the same feature of pure carbon in carbon fiber/fiber glass by choosing more stiffer blade 😅

    How would you compare the stiffness and flex of the carbon t300 penetrator fins, alchemy v3, and carbonio gfts all in soft? Im 135 lbs and see you have all of those fins on the wall lol

    • @badfishdivechannel3467
      @badfishdivechannel3467  3 роки тому

      Sorry, overlooked this bud. The Alchemy will be the softest feeling among the 3. The Carbonio and the Penetrator have a stiffer and longer profile on their fins and their softs will feel stiffer. Penetrator and Carbonio have about the same feel with respect to stiffness.
