Ok first of all thanks for the vid. I’m about 187 pounds kind of fit free diver. I have not been in the water for some 3 years although I swim and exercise regularly. I bought some carbon fiber fins that I used a lot years ago and they are kind of uncomfortable now as far as stiffness goes, they have a label that reads “stiffness Nr 3” witch lets me to believe there the hardest one. I’m ready to buy a new pair of carbon fibers one and I think “medium” stiffness would be ok ? I free dive up to -80 feet deep.. any input will be appreciated. Thanks
@@badfishdivechannel3467 I actually bought them and had to sell them for soft ones, also the foot pocket runs a bit smaller gotta take that in consideration, but soft are a huge difference for me.
So I'm an 85kg guy only 1.76M tall...so I'm pretty muscular with strong legs. I was looking into buying leader fins here in the Phillipines because of the price...it's very affordable. So should I purchase the medium stiffness carbon fins? I'm use to plastic fins and want to improve on my 100M dynamic bifins Thanks for any recommendations or advice 🙏
So I am 15 years old I weigh around 70kg and I normally use 8kg to go down . What stiffness should I get ? But I also want it for the future incase I decide I want to go to very deep dives.since it's very costy u want to make sure I get the correct stiffness for me.
Hello. We all talk about the diver's weight to determine whether to buy a soft, medium or hard blande. But how to determine the length of the blande? The amplitude of movement of the leg of a diver who is 2m tall and one who is 1.5m tall is not the same. When my girlfriend, who is 1.65m tall, 45kg, tried diving with the carbon soft fins of the 70cm board, she felt uncomfortable and couldn't coordinate the movements properly. The fins were to large for her . Is there any calculation for this problem?
I saw your shop in Cebu already... Im from Bohol.. and Im planning to buy from your shop. leaderfins... Sir ngayo pod Price list.. Salamat kaayu! More power!
Where can i find your shops....do you do like training sessions..how much is cost just incase or any suggestion thankyou...i want to buy all equipment for free diving just incase..
I’m 99 kilos, but have toes issue, I find med being hard to kick properly, but with scuba split fins I’m ok. Should I go with soft or extra soft? I’m not competing or spearfish in, I’m a beginner who want to enjoy this sport while taking classes on them. Thanks you
@@badfishdivechannel3467 thank you so much I will do that . I will order it at about middle of october Im working here in Germany right now Life Guard and when I come back I will enjoy spearfishing again . Will order items in you fb page .
I bought leaderfins fiberglass with wrong size foot pocket and I purchased other foot pockets, but when We put the old blade in the new pockets there is a small difference in the holes in the blades. We managed to put them, but the bolts are not straight (just different angle), so my question is is there a possibility my fins to brake because of that? And how can I prevent my fins to get broken (soft fiberglass)?
Hi! As long as the drilled holes are not on the bend of the blade it should be fine. We have had experience with misdrilled blades which needed to have a new pair of holes to be drilled to align properly with the footpockets and there have been no problems. Issues usually arise when the drilled holes are at or too close to the bend.
Is there a difference in stiffness of pure carbon fins vs fiber glass fins? Does the soft pure carbon fins give more power compare to soft fiber glass fins? If thier stiffness are different may be I should get medium stiffness fiber glass to get the power of a soft pure carbon fins to save money?
@@badfishdivechannel3467 thank you so much, it's now clear to me what is their differences. Last question does the pure carbon is more reactive than carbon fiber or they are just the same? And the pure carbon is just lighter? Tia
I found a video from Leaderfins saying pure carbon is more reactive than carbon fiber and fiber glass. Okay I made my mind that I'll take a pure carbon. I just thought that I can have the same feature of pure carbon in carbon fiber/fiber glass by choosing more stiffer blade 😅
you should go with medium. You have too much power for soft if you are experienced freediver with 90kg. If you want chepeast good fins you can go with cressi gara 3000.
Hi ask po ako. aning stiffness dapat sakin 60kg po ako tapos 3mm wetsuit and 4kgs weights. ano po kaya stiffness para sakin? Ok naba soft? pls2x help me. thank you in advance po.
Hi Jorge! Sorry, I overlooked this one. Based on peer reviews, Carbonio are great against the current but price is on the high side. Penetrator are also worth looking into as my spearo buddies swear by it in terms of power against current.
Thank you for answering. So, if I weigh 60 kg and is used to medium stiffness fiberglass blade, would I still be confortable using medium stiffness pure carbon or should I go for extra soft to soft this time?
How would you compare the stiffness and flex of the carbon t300 penetrator fins, alchemy v3, and carbonio gfts all in soft? Im 135 lbs and see you have all of those fins on the wall lol
Sorry, overlooked this bud. The Alchemy will be the softest feeling among the 3. The Carbonio and the Penetrator have a stiffer and longer profile on their fins and their softs will feel stiffer. Penetrator and Carbonio have about the same feel with respect to stiffness.
Hellloooo if mag buy ug fins ba kamo rba mo install ug foot pocket nga sakto sa size sa buyer? Ill be having my intro next month ill prolly gonna buy a pair (bday gift for my self lol)
Soft, medium, and large, lol! Excellent way to start your informative video. I like how you demonstrated the different levels of flex with side views.

i'm a 100 kilo bodybuilder. do they make carbon or composite fins with extra stiffness?
Hi! As far as we know, hard stiffness is the highest you can go. At 100kg, hard should work for you 👍🏼
Any opinion on Cressi vs Leaderfins? I want to get into freediving. I like diving down to look at the reef.
Hi, do you have a video on how to take care and maintain the pure carbon fins?
Rinse with fresh water after dives and do not leave in direct sunlight. Avoid storing in very hot areas and parked cars.
can you show us the difference between plastic and fibreglass fins, how much difference it actually makes in the water
