Good job! If I may add my experience, I used two 3mm metal sheets, cut in the final shape of the blade. One placed bottom and the second on top of the last carbon fiber sheet. That way I could use clamps to tighten the two metal sheets together and the carbon fabric inside them. It removes far more excessive resin from inside, making a much more durable final result. Also, that way you use just a sharp blade after a few hours (when the resin starts to harden a bit) and you cut the excess fabric, giving very easily the final shape to the fins. No saw, no dust, no mask, no sand paper for the edges😁
Maraming salamat sa pagsi-share ng kaalaman brader... kung pwede sana ay malaman din namin kung saan ka nag-oorder ng mga materials na ginagamit mo. maraming salamat ulit brader.
What model and number of epoxy resins are used? How many minutes apart are the carbon sheets? Or are we free to join each other or not? Then use the last sheet of cloth. What kind of fabric is it?
Could quite easily vacuum bag your fins to help compaction. Definitely good idea to use mask with epoxy and particularly when cutting the cured laminate. Good job, well done
Thank you for demonstrating how to make carbon fins. I am glad you went into detail. How were they in the ocean, and how do they compare to mass produced brands?
Hi mate, good job! I hope you have already used them in salt water and can tell if the superglue you used for rubber t-rails worked fine? Asking as I also used a quite expansive superglue, had 4 dives in the ocean, packed my fins for 3 months and finally found all rubber t-rails unglued laying in the bag so the glue did not work for rubber in my case... And the second question - what sticker with your logo is made of? I want to customize my fins with something similar.
Loctite (and I think most superglue brands have something similar) has “Loctite 460” for uses that you need the glue to be strong but flexible. It’s the glue type that fin manufacturers use.
Boss saan mo nabili ung carbon fiber cloth, may link ka ba if ever online shop mo sya binili, and kung ilang meters lahat nagamit mo sa fins panel na ginawa mo? thanks! :)
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. How do you do to change the strength of fin; constructors offer different type, like soft, medium and hard. how to you perform it ?
if you want to add the stiffness of the fins just add the length of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th layer, for example, first layer is 75cm, if soft stiffness 2nd layer is 55cm and if you add length to 2nd layer you make it 60cm extra stiffness will add.
Oi solid kaayo! Nice work bai. Kamusta? Na try na nimo sa tubig? Asa ka ng source og fiber glass cloth? I want to make fiberglass fins ky mas cheaper hehe
Thank you bai. ou bai na try na nako, lightweight kaayo, layo ra kaayo sa plastic fins nako. Ou mas cheaper materials ang fiberglass, gamit rajud og quality na epoxy resin

Yang sakin bro, 80cm yan galing sa curve soft to medium stiffnessl . kapag nag bawas ako ng 10CM magiging medium na stiffness nyan.. for me, instead of adding extra layer, mag dag2 ka nlng ng length sa 2nd 3rd 4th layer mo.
